Don't die for yours goals. Live for them.
El prota es inaguantable, pero el colega de la mascarilla se perfila como mi favorito (no me esperaba esa revelación sobre su padre, porque yo me estaba imaginando otra). De momento, los oni son demasiado buenos y los Momotaro muy malos, y eso no me gusta. Espero que esto cambie y veamos personajes grises y más profundos (el doctor parece uno de ellos).
Se lleva un suspenso, pero si no me entretuviera, ya lo habría abandonado.

Okay, we have an answer as to why Shiki’s blood erosion release are guns but why was a 17 year old collecting guns 😭😭😭... and oh, the Momotaro Corp are evil evil. Excited to see some fights

I can understand why people are so interested in this manga, however it isn’t for me. It reminds me too much of a few other manga series to the point where I can’t differentiate those plots from this one.
I read this 2nd manga volume through online translated scans because there’s no official english translation.

Durch Ichinose Shiki Adern fließt Teufelsblut. Doch bis vor kurzem wusste er nichts davon. Als jedoch ein unbekannter Mann in sein Haus eindringt und versucht, ihn zu ermorden, offenbart ihm sein Ziehvater die Wahrheit.
Von diesem Moment an verändert sich sein Leben schlagartig, und er wird in den jahrtausendealten Kampf zwischen den Teufeln und den Momotaro hineingezogen.
Meine Meinung:
Bei Togen Anki handelt es sich um einen soliden Shonen Titel. Die Hauptcharaktere sind trotz ihrer verrückten / durchgeknallten Art sympathisch. Der Zeichenstil gefällt mir sehr gut und ich habe auch schon meinen Liebling. Auf der anderen Seite strotzt der Manga von Klischees und ähnlichen Charakteren ist man schon in anderen Shonen Titeln begegnet.
Man merkt ganz schnell welche Präferenzen der Mangaka beim weiblichen Geschlecht hat. Aber gut, da kann ich darüber hinwegsehen. ( ╹▽╹ )
Es gibt mit Sicherheit bessere Shonen Titel, aber für zwischendurch ist der Titel ein guter Zeitvertreib. Wer einen blutigen Shonen Titel mit genialen Artwork sucht, der kann hier beherzt zugreifen.
Die Reihe ist mit aktuell 14 Bänden in Japan noch laufend.

For me, the plot by far quite typical Shonen-type. And still very insist my thought of annoying and shallow characters design.
Another drop-off for me from this book might be the way they portraying the female characters. I don't mind about the shape, but why it not look appealing even in that shape tho 🥲 Also, why do some characters need to be that creep, is it really necessary to put it?
Even the plot is still enjoyable and looks might have more interesting of story reveal in the future. I can't stand on the point I've mentioned above enough to continue.

Dans l’ensemble, même si je n’ai pas été super happée par le titre, je lui reconnais, malgré ses faiblesses, de l’intérêt et puis j’aime bien le personnage de Shiki. Pas la série du siècle, enfin pour l’instant, mais ça se laisse lire tout de même et j’aime beaucoup les dessins, forcément, ça aide un peu.

this manga has a FREAKING INSANE VISUAL. first attractive characters keep appearing and not just that everyone’s blood weapon is *chef’s kiss* shiki’s and jin’s blood erosion are the ones that i like the most.

Après ma lecture en demi teinte du premier tome, je me suis aussitôt jetée sur la lecture du deuxième tome. J’avais hâte de voir si ce second tome remontait un peu le niveau par rapport au tome précédent. Bon je dois bien avouer que je m’attendais à mieux en commençant ce nouveau manga. C’est bien dommage.. Ce n’est pas mauvais mais ce n’est franchement pas original. Je m’attendais vraiment à quelque chose de bien plus passionnant que ça. Malgré tout, ce n’est pas une histoire que je déteste, au contraire, j’aime assez ce que j’ai lu. Mais il n’empêche que je m’attendais à mieux que ça..
Dans ce second tome, on retrouve Shiki fraîchement débarqué à l’académie Rakahasha. Et dès son arrivée il va déjà devoir faire ses preuves! En effet, Mudano lance une épreuve au groupe. Ils doivent revenir à l’école en moins d’une heure et surtout sans oublier de récupérer une balle. Dès le top départ il s’élance dans la forêt avec ses deux coéquipiers. Mais très vite, Byôbugaura perd le contrôle de son sang d’Oni et le jeu tourne en véritable catastrophe…
J’aime beaucoup le personnage de Byôbugaura, elle est tellement touchante. Elle se confond toujours en excuse pour tout, elle se rabaisse continuellement. C’est vraiment un personnage hyper intéressant à découvrir. De plus quand on découvre son sang Oni, on découvre un personnage tellement incroyable et surtout très puissant! J’aime bien Shiki également. J’aime son côté tête brûlée, il me fait beaucoup rire surtout dans ses excès de colère! J’aime beaucoup aussi celui de Jin. Il est très intriguant et j’espère que l’on en apprendra plus sur lui par la suite. L’intrigue n’est pas originale comme j’ai pu le dire un peu plus haut, mais on se laisse prendre au jeu et on se laisse embarquer dans cette intrigue.
Bien que je ne suis pas emballée à cent pour cent par ce manga, les deux premiers tomes sont assez sympa à découvrir. Ce n’est pas un shonen très original et c’est très classique mais on se laisse prendre. Les personnages sont sympa à suivre, c’est intriguant, il y a une part de mystère dans tout cas. J’ai tout de même hâte de découvrir la suite et d’avoir le troisième tome entre les mains.

This volume continues from the last one, with Jin and Shiki fighting in the middle of their tag team test. Unfortunately for Shiki, he still does not fully understand how to control his oni blood, much less use it in a fight. But bigger problems arise for both Shiki and Jin when Byobugaura arrives and her oni blood goes out of control. If that wasn't enough, the tag team match is interrupted by a mayday call from the Kyoto Oni Corporation branch. The Momotaro Corporation has attacked! How will Mudano, Shiki, and the other students deal with this danger?
As you can tell by the summary alone, this volume continues the plot's breakneck speed of the last volume. The tag team match went so fast, it almost felt like Urushibara got bored of it and just decided to jump to the next arc. I wish it would slow down so we could have more time with all the characters, though maybe this next arc we will be able to get to know the rest of Shiki's classmates.
Like the last volume, Shiki continues to be the highlight for me. His willingness to ask for help and disregard his pride if it means he can get stronger or win is so charming. As Mudano notes, this makes Shiki look like an idiot; but positively speaking, Shiki is a person who looks straight at what is in front of him. Now that Shiki and the others are in Kyoto, there’s a good chance they’ll have their first fight with the Momotaro Corporation. But will this trait hurt or help Shiki as he faces off against them?

Le premier tome était assez rapide et c’est assez dommage, mais d’un autre côté ça fait du bien de lire un manga dans lequel il ne faut pas attendre 5 tomes avant de rentrer dans le vif du sujet.
Le 2e tome est bien plus intéressant que le premier: on rentre dans un rythme « normale » puisque les combats sont détaillés et on nous explique tout pour comprendre l’univers du manga.
Gros point positif: le charadesign est incroyable et les scènes de combats sont très bien dessinées.
C’est prometteur ! J’ai très très hâte de lire la suite !

Enjoyed it a lot. Anime just came out today so I really hope it meets my expectations. Shiki is so funny and Naito gives me Gojo-if-he-had-zero-expectations. Loved volume two and def need to buy volume three.

I didn't fucking read the paperback, SOMEONE or (some BOT that really ought to be fixed because it SUCKS) wrongfully obliterated a perfectly legit Japanese Kindle edition from this site that I originally shelved. It's like they are oblivious to amazon.co.jp and see no wrong with the shit they are doing. Thank you, because now I'll have a bunch of new reviews, just to document what day the edition became a victim of the situation.

楽しかった！！
最近は完成主義の漫画ばっかり読んでいるからあまり楽しくない。これはただのアクションで面白い。武器がいろいろあるし、性格もいろいろあるし。
絵はちょっとグロいけど新劇と比べて全然オーケー！
