About the author

After spending 25 years performing, writing, teaching, and founding programs in improv and sketch comedy, Maggie Eliot turned her creative attention toward writing what she loves to read—romance. With a BFA in acting and a decade of playwriting, Maggie brings a wide variety of experience to her passion for writing RomComs with spice and laughs. She’s a proud member of the Greater Detroit Romance Writers. She won a Wilde Award (Detroit theatre awards) for best new script in 2013, and her standalone romance Lark Lake Lodge won the unpublished contemporary category for both the Put Your Heart in a Book contest for New Jersey Romance writers and the Maggie Award from the Georgia Romance Writers. In 2021 she was selected as a mentee in RWA’s RAMP program, having the great fortune to work closely with her mentor, New York Times best seller Annika Martin. Derek Jaworski es la última persona a la que pensé que acudiría en una crisis. Es tan molesto y arrogante como hermoso. Pero estoy desesperada. Necesito su comprensión del lado más picante de la vida para salvar mi boda. Afortunadamente, está más que dispuesto a ayudar.

Mi humilde opinión:

Romance de enemigos a amantes, hermano mayor de su mejor amiga, diferencia de edad.

Lilly no tenia idea de que Derek estaba enamorado de ella desde la escuela y lo ocultó siendo el tipo playboy arrogante. Años después la deja el prometido al acusarla que es poco aventurera en la cama y solo hay una persona que podrá ayudarla en el tema para recuperar a su novio; el hermano de su mejor amiga, su crush desde los 13, molesto y mujeriego. Durante las lecciones de sexo se da cuenta de que Derek no es la persona que pensó y que sus sentimientos por él no cambiaron…

Al principio Derek me pareció un idiota pero me sorprendió conocer sus verdaderas intenciones. Él siempre estuvo enamorado de Lilly y aprovechó la oportunidad para demostrarle que se estaba por casar con alguien que no la merecía. Este hombre me derritió. La idea de Lilly me pareció disparatada, o sea, su prometido terminó con ella pero como pensaba volver con él después de estar con Derek? No me cabía en la cabeza su razonamiento. Sobre todo si se sentía fuertemente atraída por él. Los protagonistas tenían una buena química y estuvo bien que la historia no estuviera abarrotada de escenas de sexo, hubo lo justo y necesario además de un poco de drama y sentimientos.

La verdad me divertí con la historia de Lilly y Derek. Una lectura rápida, picante y con humor.

A friend's love troup

After her engagement got called off by her fiancé due to no experience in the bedroom she turns to the one person she could her best friends brother

Through the experience he teachers her she has a decision to make does she go back to her fiancé get married and live happily ever after or go the the man that she has known all her life

Which will he choose?

I loved the I haven't read friends to lovers troup before and I thought this would be a great start.
In the first few pages I could feel Lily's emotions and her dilemma
I loved it highly recommend

What a cute little read. Perfect when you’ve read something heavy and need a cleanser. Although…it packs a nice bit of spice!!

Lilly is or , was engaged to be married. Her fiancée broke it off because she isn’t “adventurous “ enough in the bedroom.

So she gets this idea in her head to ask her bestfriends brother, Derek, to “help” her in this situation so she can win her fiancée back.
Neither of them knowing the other has always had a crush on the other!!

Fun, spicy, and great characters

I love Lilly and I relate to her in so many ways it’s almost like this was written for me. My nickname for a couple years was Lush-lie because I’m such a lightweight when I drink. 😂
Great sexy scenes and I love that the author doesn’t dumb down the language.

Very Quick Read!

Best friend’s brother, spicy lessons and he’s been in love with her forever. Need I say more? Lots of action packed in this novella. Definitely a fun read!
