A steamy, arranged marriage, enemies to-lovers, wallflower romance by USA Today bestselling author Jane Henry

Scarred. Overlooked. Tainted.
Born into the ruthless underworld, I’ve been cast aside. I’m locked in a cage of lies and betrayal, now framed for a crime I didn’t commit.

But then he came for me.
Ollie Romanov, the savage enforcer, believes I’m a traitor.

He’s ruthless, merciless, and prepared to make me pay for my sins.
To him, I’m nothing more than a pawn to punish. A traitor to be broken.

Yet beneath the cold, brutal exterior, I see something more—a darkness that calls to my own.

I shouldn’t crave the twisted connection we share. I swear the man has no conscience…
Except when it comes to me.

Have I married a heartless monster? A psychopath?
Or has this Savage finally found his match in me?

Savage is a standalone dark romance with a strong, fierce heroine and an unapologetically obsessive, possessive , alpha anti-hero. No OW drama, no cliffhanger, always an HEA.

I can see why Jane Henry is considered the Mafia Queen.

My first read by her, this was a great read. Quick paced and great dialougue.

The plot line will keep you up at night- kidnapping, love/hate relationships, flashbacks.

It's a great action packed mafia romance.

The mafia queen returns with another absolute gem in Savage! With each new book in the Wicked Vows series, each brother becomes my favorite, and that stays true with Ollie Romanov. The quiet and stoic Ollie is tasked with watching the woman whom the brothers suspect of betraying the family in Renata Carrera. The undeniable chemistry between Ollie and Renata can be felt throughout their entire story as they figure out if their pull to each other is strong enough to weather through the potential betrayal. There are so many twists and turns that I didn't want to stop reading until I reached the very last page.

"You might think you don't belong, but you do. Right here. With me."

if i thought i knew what to expect going into this book, i was quickly proven wrong. the story didn’t exactly pick up where it was left off in the previous book and at first i found that choice weird because we were teased with the potential of this couple, but didn’t know anything about them before we were thrown at the middle of their story. but then as i read it, it made sense because the author weaved flashbacks in between every other chapter that explained their dynamic without having to spend too long in the past. i will say, though, these two were unreliable narrators and you only realize that by the end of the book which made for a very clever and entertaining little plot twist that left me gagged. they kept me on my toes, constantly wondering if they did love or hate each other which made for a very entertaining read.

* i was sent an arc by valentine pr in exchange for a honest review

What I like about Ms. Henry is that she is consistent and maintains a high standard. Her dialogue flows smoothly. Her characters are colorful and believable. Her plots are exciting, with guaranteed twists and turns that keep you guessing until the last page. With Renata and Ollie’s story, she captures the essence of a complicated relationship that walks a fine line between love and hate. Their relationship was intense, raw, and passionate, an explosion waiting to happen. Their story will take you on an emotional journey filled with fear, anger, revenge, danger, sadness, despair, brutality, revenge, intrigue, and happiness.

My heart aches for Renata. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place, with her brother holding a threat to kill Ollie over her head. She was at the mercy of the Romanov family, who were convinced she was a traitor and had betrayed them. Forced to marry Ollie, she has no hope for a future unless she can prove her loyalty, which is no mean feat. Renata may have been small, but she was a fighter. Although the consequences were painful, I loved how she pushed Ollie’s buttons

Ollie was the youngest of the Romanov brothers. He was the silent type, a man of few words but brutal and not someone you would cross. I didn’t liked his character initially, mainly when he mistreats Renata. He needed to lighten up. Like his brothers before him, he married Renata to protect his family and keep her under control. I liked how his need to protect and nurture her replaced his need to punish her.

This enemies-to-lovers book was a cracker of a story. It was fast-paced, action-packed, and I loved everything about it. It ticks all the boxes for an exciting Magia romance with the right amount of tension, emotion, heat, and discipline. The Romanov family involvement was the icing on the cake.

Savage A Dark Bratva Arranged Marriage Romance (Wicked Vows #6) by Jane Henry is Ollie's story. He is the last brother who isn't married. After watching after Renata, who happens to be Isabella's best friend from book 5, Ollie's has developed feelings for her. When Renata is taken by her brother Carlos, she is tasked by him to get information on Ollie and his brothers. There is just the issue Ollie and her best friend Isabella are leery about, and how was she exactly taken from The Cove and the fact she claims her brother is dead. I do have to say I really enjoyed Ollie and Renata.  They had plenty of sexual tension and chemistry.  Both are mad at each other, but both have feelings for each other. This story was not as good as the others. I wasn't sold on the premise of the book, and because of that, this story didn't rank as high as the others. Loved seeing the other brothers and their wives.  Loved the ending of the story. I am certainly curious if there will be a book 7 based on the sister and what the premise of the story will be. Regardless of the fact this story wasn't as strong as the others, I will be reading Polina's story and any other books this author will write. This story gets a 3 from me.

Savage is a mafia romance about Renata and Ollie. Renata’s brother Carlos is the biggest enemy of Ollie’s family and she is caught in the middle. Renata was taken captive by her brother and in order to prove her loyalty to the Romanov’s she must now marry Ollie. She is caught between awknowledging her feelings for the man she loves and keeping him safe.
Ollie and Renata both have reasons to be wary of love. They have both grown up in a hard world but help each other see the softer side of life. Will they lose their chance at happiness or will they learn that they are stronger together? I really enjoyed Ollie and Renata’s story and I think you will too if you like…

The audio on this book was not my favorite part. The story was great but the narrators going in and out of their accents was a little off putting for me. Overall I loved the story but I wasn’t as fond of the audio.

This is the 6th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Ollie and Renata’s story.
Ollie is an obsessive and possessive antihero, who will do whatever he must to keep his family safe and protected, and he is a ruthless, and merciless enforcer. Ronata is scarred, overlooked, and tainted, and has had a tough life of lies and betrayal, and she has been framed for a crime she did not commit. Ollie and Renata share a twisted connection between them.
This is a well written action packed, emotionally charged story, which family dynamics, friendships, enemies / lovers, an arranged marriage, danger, suspense, intrigue, betrayal, lies, loyalty, combustible chemistry, violence, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, and unpredictable, dark bratva romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I kept going back and fourth on Renata. I liked her but sometimes her choices made no sense to me lol I was annoyed with Isbella though. Ollie was surprisingly sweet at times. He needs to laugh more lol

I needed a bonkers mafia romance last week and Savage fit the bill. Savage is a standalone in a the Wicked Vows series. I was lucky enough to get a ALC. I loved the mix of alpha hero and a heroine who won’t give up. I have not read any other books in the series but I can’t wait to go back a read about the rest of the brothers! This was a fun time and the audio was great!

MC: Renata (FMC), Ollie (MMC)
Setting: Colombia, The COVE
Genres: Dark Romantic Suspense, Mafia Romance, Erotic Romance
Tropes: enemies-to-lovers, second chance, anti-hero, tortured pasts, touch her and die, close proximity
Triggers: torture, kidnapping, assault
Epilogue: Yes

Synopsis: Renata's world turns upside down when her thought-dead brother, Carlos, resurfaces, kidnapping and blackmailing her to spy on the Romanov Family. Ollie rescues her, but their relationship faces tension, as Renata is accused of betraying Ollie and his family. As part of a plan to monitor her, Renata and Ollie are forced to marry.  Despite their initial conflict, Ollie starts to believe in Renata’s innocence, and their love deepens, revealing her true loyalty. Together, they work together to draw Carlos out of hiding, leading to a dramatic showdown. With Carlos out of the picture, Renata and Ollie settle into married life, and the new joys it brings.

Thoughts: Renata and Ollie made a great couple once they finally trusted one another and allowed themselves to be vulnerable. They both loved each other from before Renata’s kidnapping, but were too afraid to reveal those feelings and fully commit. Renata was trying to protect Ollie, and Ollie believed he didn’t deserve her love. This led to some strong tension between the two because they were both being stubborn and fighting feelings for one another. I like how they both had to accept their dark sides in order to break through all their walls. I didn’t like how Ollie and Isabella immediately thought Renata betrayed them, and never genuinely thought differently until way later. There was an eventual mutual understanding, but no apology really, especially from Isabella. I would have liked to have seen more groveling from both Ollie and Isabella, and think Renata showing her true loyalty was glossed over from the whole Romanov Family. I enjoyed seeing Renata’s character development from a worrisome, sometimes timid person to a confident, strong-willed woman. She was being constantly let down, but was always strong deep done, and I think Ollie’s controlled care for her helped her gain confidence. The push and pull between them definitely provided something they both needed. Ollie ended up being quite sweet, and I appreciated his attention to detail with regard to Renata. It was cute when he provided her with all the things that made her happy, like a puppy, taking her to a farmers market, and sex. I really enjoyed this book, and thought the plot was great, however, I did struggle with the pacing. Despite the flashback scenes, I felt we missed a lot of Renata and Ollie’s initial relationship from before her kidnapping and after the end of the previous book. I am so excited for Polina’s book next. I hope she ends up with the undercover Romanov soldier. I’ve found his character intriguing the past couple books, and can’t wait to learn more about his character hopefully.

Amazing Storytelling!! These characters are wonderful. I loved this book! Renata and Ollie make a great couple. This stuff just flows from this author. There is such emotional depth and love at its core. I thought that this particular phrase said a lot!
“That a leader learns from everyone. A leader doesn’t bully anyone that’s cowardice. A leader earns the respect of his position.” That is a bit of a paraphrase but you get the sentiment behind the thought.

I reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Not my favorite in this series but still good 3.75 stars

This is book #6 in Henry's Wicked Vows series. This is the story of the last and youngest Romanov brother, Ollie, and Renata. It takes place in the same world, and deals with some of the same characters, as in Lev and Isabela's story (Shackled); ..i.e., members of the Los Sangre Dorada (LSD) Columbian cartel. Renata, was Isabella's best friend in Shackled.

I love Jane Henry books, but have to admit this one was my least favorite in this series. Doesn't mean I didn't like it, just that there were a few things I didn't like. Such as: 1. This story not only doesn't pick up where the previous book left off, but more importantly events actually differ with no explanation provided and 2. The story outline is too similar to the previous book. So specifics...

1. Someone killed in the previous book is now suddenly alive again in this one. Wouldn't have been an issue if they had left it in the previous book where his supposedly dead body is left on the floor only to later be discovered missing..but no...they also conduct a search and discover him, severly injured, in the woods trying to crawl away. He's recaptured, dealt with, and his body taken, along with others, to their warehouse to be disposed of. No explanation provided of how this grievously injured, dead man managed to not only survive death, but escape the guards at the warehouse. Additional at the end of the previous book, Renata is being held captive by Ollie at the family compound under suspicion of being a traitor. But this book opens with her gone (escaped or taken?). Again no explanation of how she either escaped or was taken from a secure compound with guards all over the place.

2. Book one has Isabella's brother, head of The LSD cartel, wanting to take his sister and her allies, the Romanov's, down. He's hiding and waiting for the opportune time to strike while they try to find him. Isabella finally uses herself as bait to draw him out. In this book, Renata's brother, Carlos, who was ally to Isabella's brother, is after the Romonov's and his sister. He's been hiding out waiting for the opportune time to strike. Renata uses herself to draw him out. Sound familiar?

There are a couple of other things not thought out or explained well enough and therefore are totally unbelievable...like how Carlos managed to hide inside the secured Romanov home, inside a secured compond with cameras all round, completely undetected...especially when they have heat sensor scanning equipment they used all over the house.

Aside from that, I loved the developing relationship between Renata and Ollie. Renata's difficulties with Ollie come from her severe dislike of violence stemming from her history. She finds it hard to reconcile the hard, violent, Ollie who kills and beats men without remorse with the Ollie who is sweet and caring to her. It's hard for her to trust his soft side because her brother was once soft with her, her protector, until he turned on her, became, uncaring, cruel, and violent towards her. How can she be sure Ollie won't turn on her too. Ollie, on the other hand struggles with wanting to keep his hard violent side from Renata so she's not scared of him, yet still wants her to accept all of him for who he is, the man who will do what's necessary to protect her and his family. I loved how in the end, when she walks in while he's "interrogating" a man and she's sees his hard violent side, but the minute he looks her that hardness softens and she finally realizes he will never hurt her and always protect her.

In truth, had I not read the previous book in this series, most of the issues I had wouldn't have been issues at all; so ultimately, I gave this 3.75 stars. (Next book (and likely last) will be the sole sister, Polina's story.

HANDLE RENATA

The story is the sixth in the series and will be about Ollie Romanov and Renata Carrera. I will say that this story is a definite page-turner with romantic suspense, secrets, betrayal, and surprises. Things aren’t always black and white and the gray area is where Renata finds herself. Will a threat—a warning—be to protect her brother—or the man who becomes her husband?

Renata: You underestimate me, Carlos. I won’t let you use me like this.
Carlos: Oh, but you will. Because if you tell them anything—anything about me at all, I will murder the man you love in front of you.
Renata: I don’t love anybody.
Carlos: I watched the way your eyes light up when he walks into a room. I saw the way you pined for him when he’s not there. I heard you ask for him. I saw you stare after him. You in love with a Russian pig. Father would’ve killed you for less. You will find out what they know and report back to me. I may even forgive you.
Renata: And if I don’t?
Carlos: If you don’t, I’ll kill him first and make you watch, little sister, before you join him.

The story will have Ollie coming to Columbia looking for Renata. When he finds her, she has been hurt—but he doesn’t trust her. She needs to be punished. The one thing that Ollie wasn’t expecting was for it to be decided that he should marry Renata—tightening the alliance.

The story is about the good, the bad, and the evil of people. Ollie—and the Romanovs don’t trust her now, including her friend, Isabella. She is caught between remembering what Carlos had been like when they were children—and the evil man he has become as a man—and what could become between her and Ollie. While a forced marriage wasn’t something she, nor Ollie wanted, they acquiesced to it as a duty. Keeping her story straight that Carlos is dead isn’t easy, and even the Romanovs don’t believe it and are on edge waiting for an attack.

I loved Ollie and Renata together, they have great chemistry and passion. Neither one comes from a happy-go-lucky family environment and has had to adjust to the reality of what their families involve—Bratva and Cartel. No matter what happens, the pull between them is strong and they can’t resist one another. They even have moments of sharing the past and how they arrived at the present. Will the Romanovs accept Renata as one of their own with the marriage of her and Ollie?

“Ollie—my protector. The monster. My husband.

The story includes power exchange and control, dubious consent, discipline and rewards, and explicit scenes. It does have some scenes of violence, bratva style. The story does not end on a cliffhanger, but more a segue into more to come involving Polina and her future.

Audio Review

Jane Henry's "Savage," brought to life by the captivating narration of Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross, is an audiobook experience that plunges you into the gritty heart of the underworld with a visceral intensity. The opening description – "Scarred. Overlooked. Tainted" – perfectly sets the stage for a story of survival, suspicion, and a connection forged in the darkest of circumstances.

From the outset, you feel the weight of the heroine's isolation and vulnerability. Framed for a crime she didn't commit and cast aside by the ruthless world she was born into, her desperation is palpable. Then enters Ollie Romanov, the "savage enforcer," voiced with a chilling conviction that immediately establishes his formidable presence. Kennicott and Ross masterfully portray the initial dynamic: Ollie's unwavering belief in her guilt and his merciless intent to make her pay.

The dual narration is a significant strength of this audiobook. Kennicott embodies the heroine's fear, resilience, and burgeoning defiance with a nuanced performance. Ross, as Ollie, delivers a voice that is both menacing and surprisingly textured, hinting at the complexities beneath his brutal exterior. The alternating perspectives, seamlessly woven together by their distinct voices, draw you deeper into the psychological battle between these two characters.

The description highlights the central conflict: Ollie sees her as a traitor, a pawn to be punished. Yet, the heroine perceives something more beneath his coldness – "a darkness that calls to my own." This intriguing duality is expertly conveyed through the narration, allowing listeners to sense the subtle shifts in their dynamic even as they clash. The internal conflict of craving a "twisted connection" with a man who sees her as an enemy is brought to life with compelling emotional depth.

The question posed – "Have I married a heartless monster? A psychopath? Or has this Savage finally found his match in me?" – perfectly encapsulates the central tension of the story. The audiobook excels at building this suspense, leaving you constantly questioning Ollie's true nature and the potential for a genuine connection to bloom amidst the danger and distrust.

"Savage" is not a gentle listen. It's a raw and gritty journey through a world where survival is paramount and trust is a luxury. However, the compelling characters, the high stakes, and the exceptional narration by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross make it an immersive and ultimately captivating audiobook experience. If you enjoy dark romance with complex characters and a narrative that keeps you on the edge of your seat, "Savage" is a compelling choice.

****ALC****

Thanks to Valentines PR for selecting me for this ALC. And a HUGE!!! thank you to the wonderful author for writing this amazing book. THANK YOU!!! ❤❤❤

This audiobook was *chefs kiss* I'm so freaking happy I got tha chance to listen to this book because I felt every vibe abs plus with the dual POV? Made it so much better.

Of course when it comes to Jane Henry, we're gonna get plot and spice and this was no different. Ollie and Renata were so obviously inlove with each other and no matter how much they pretended they weren't and pushed each other away, they were always drawn to each other. As much as I don't love secrets, I love how Renata truly protected Ollie. She was a badass and she didn't need him to protect her but still loved that he did. He spoilt her and showed her true love and she helped him to FINALLY settle down. Them getting their happily ever after warned my heart. The fact that he was possessive over her but still gave her space to be her true independent self showed how he knows what good balance is and how much he really loved her.

The family and found family. This is one of my favorite mafia families and I thought I had missed this book in the series and I'm happy I didn't. This family is truly special. Each one of them has a TOP TIER skill. I mean you would expect the brothers of course to be badass BUT can we speak about the women of this family? Professional shooter/gun specialist, runs a cartel, hacker, matriarch who can kick some ass, doctor, these women are *chefs kiss*. And with the wives basically not apart of their own families anymore they became a girl gang and within that we had sisters and besties who basically all became sisters, became family. I just love how no matter what or when or even why, they show up.

Overall I give this book a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. I loved every second of this book and I wonder if we'll get one last book for their sister because I mean why not? Anyway, Ollie and Renata were special and they have a place in my heart because I just love how he was with her and how they just opened up to each other, how they helped heal each other. Their chemistry was amazing and that made the spicy very 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I loved them and I will miss this series when it's over but until then I will bask in these two.

I had my ups and downs with Ollie and Renata's story, but overall, I enjoyed their journey and their chemistry as a couple by the end.

Now, let’s talk tropes. Dark romance often rolls out the red carpet for the classic “I love you obsessively and completely, unhinged or not, no questions asked.” And while I'm here for that vibe 24/7, Renata's internal struggle added a dash of reality I enjoyed. She loves Ollie, but grappling with his darkness both terrifies and upsets her. It’s a refreshing layer that kept me invested in her character growth.

Ollie may not snag the top spot as my favorite Romanov brother, but he’s certainly a character to appreciate. He’s a mix of extremes—like, on one hand, he’s a 7 for unaliving a man in cold blood right in front of you, but then he jumps to a 15 for buying you a puppy.

While it looks like the series might be “over,” I’m secretly hoping for Polina's story next. I can only imagine the chaos she’d bring to whoever ends up in her orbit. Hell on a cracker, indeed! 🔥

If I want to read a gritty mafia story that is dark and will tear at my heartstrings but also has witty banter, Jane Henry is my "go to" author but with this one she has knocked the ball out of the park, it can be read as a standalone but please, read the series in sequence, you won't regret it.
Ollie Romanov is one of five brothers and one sister, all rescued from the street as children and adopted by the late boss of the Romanov bratva. Mikhail is now the leader, all of them fight with a brutal passion, love with a deep passion and are fiercely loyal to the family that gave them a life.
The brothers had married one by one, Ollie was the only unmarried one and he vowed that he would stay that way, he was the family enforcer, he travelled the globe solving problems usually with his own brand of brutality, the only chink in his armour was Renata Carrera, sister of cruel, barbaric cartel head, Carlos Carrera.
Renata was best friends with his sister in law, Isabella but had Renata betrayed them ?
When Ollie found the stunningly beautiful Renata, badly beaten up and lying in the street, he took her back to the family home but he didn't trust her, she had run away from him, she would be his prisoner, Isabella was vitriolic to her once best friend, a friend with whom she had shared everything.
Mikhail decided that, in true bratva style, Ollie and Renata should be married, Ollie was torn, he still had deep feelings for Renata, he was drawn to her like a magnet, but he didn't trust her and he trusted her brother even less.
This story follows Renata and Ollie's the stormy journey to their HEA, the passion is cataclysmic, can Ollie afford to follow his heart instead of his head with his love for the beautiful Renata, will this love lead his family to war ? he only knew that if it did he would protect her with his life.
This was a book that I never wanted to end, I loved how Renata feared Ollie but loved him with a passion, I loved how Ollie allowed her to see a gentle side that he shows to no one.
I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.

Because there was so much action, I was anticipating more, I missed this. I was listening, listening, listening. It's the first time I've listened to an audio recording all at once. I devoured it; I was eager to go on to the next chapter because it was becoming more and more engaging. I was grateful for the snippets of their previous interactions. Two broken spirits are reconciled and fall in love.

Renata leaves her family in order to help her friend inherit her brother's throne; she is subsequently abducted by the same family, and in order to keep her boyfriend alive, she must betray both her friend and him, but he now believes she betrayed them. Will their love endure in this story of survival and treachery?

I adore Russian MMCs. Ollie, the lone wolf, is quite grumpy, yet he secretly harbours feelings for both King Arthur and his girl. I adore the wedding gift he gave her and his desire to see her happy. Seeing how he's falling for her is pleasing. Love certainly transforms individuals; he is now capable of humour. I appreciate the self-defence classes, Ollie. I adore the way they make fun of Ollie for being weak when he fell in love; please don't ever let him live it down.

Renata has the greatest skill ever—the ability to perceive truth. A woman after my own heart is an FMC who is scarred. These are quite uncommon to see, particularly in mafia fiction. She wasn't cruel or cunning, but she had her own strengths that made her unique, and I respected that. Her reconciliation with Isabella pleased me.

I like that we looked at the complexity of love. It doesn’t have to be flawless or always be sunshine and rainbows. Found  family at its best. I adore the ties that bind them all together. They are highly protective and affectionate towards each other. I'm pleased that Renata has at last found her people and belongs.

Another captivating read, great story and characters, Jane Henry never misses to hit home !!
I have been waiting for this book as I knew that it was going to continue the story with Ollie having travelled to find Renata who had previously been in the home of the Romanov family until she seemingly had tricked them all and made a run back to her brother.
This is so far from the truth and now that he is dead anyway this has only made the Romanovs surer that she is a traitor that has been in their midst to do them harm, even Ollie seems to believe the lies and this is what hurts the most especially when she is still trying to keep them all safe and protected with no thought of her own safety.
Now she has been cornered by her childhood friend Isabella and her husband Lev and they have insisted that she marry Ollie, after all he was the last of the brothers unmarried and this was effectively killing two birds with one stone. Renata knew there was no point in arguing and if she wanted to keep Ollie safe, she had to simply go along with the decree.
As the marriage goes through and both Ollie and she begin their married life there have already been several attacks on both of their lives and her brothers’ threats continue to ring in her ears and she knows that it is important they trust no one except for themselves.
This is a truly wonderfully written book and I guarantee that once you begin reading this book you will be blown away by this simply smashing story, its so well written and you will be captivated by this wonderful addition to the story I guarantee it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Jane Henry just released “Savage” and I LOVED it. Ollie and Renata are so good together. Seriously so. From page 1, the action keeps the story moving and there’s different plots/stories running that keeps readers updated with what’s going on with the Romanovs and the other families that are all part of Ms. Henry’s mafia universe. The mafia and dark elements are fab – not quite espresso dark, but very close – and she consistently ticks all my boxes in terms of good storytelling. In fact, I’d say this for the entire Wicked Vows series and I absolutely adore all the crossovers. The different “family” elements are downright delightful and, weirdly, I think I like those best. Back to Ollie and Renata. Ollie has always been the Romanov brother who seemed to have the least amount of page time – he’s always traveling – so when we finally get to meet him, all of his Romanov “quirks” come out and I love how he “fits” in with the other Romanovs – each have their strengths and weaknesses that balance each other out. And Renata makes for a great partner for him. She has a bit of his wanderlust along with his desire to set down roots. For Renata, that’s never really been possible given that anytime she finds something she loves, it’s snatched away from her in the worst way possible. So the two of them sort of do a dance around each other. Both worried about what might happen if they share their feelings and the potential damage that could occur when it’s used against them. And their coupling (sanitized for review acceptance) are hot and sizzling. Soooooo good. Now this is supposed to be a standalone and it is, however, if you haven’t read it yet, I want to encourage reading “Shackled” first. While it isn’t necessary, it will definitely enhance your reading.

This is book 6 in this series and Ollie Ramanov's story.
So this is a stand alone book and I haven't read all of the books in this series and this story does reference to a time when Ollie spent time with Renata and I think she was in his protection.
So it is totally on me that I felt like I had missed something important, and I should have read it in a previous book.
Apart from that I DID enjoy this story and it is a roller-coaster just like the other books I listened to in this mafia series.
Ollie is the youngest brother and his love interest is Renata who is the sister of one of the families enemies...Carlos Carrera.
Which makes Ollie think that she has betrayed his family after they took care of her..she was taken by her brother who beat her and wanted to use her to get information from the Romanov family. But Ollie thinks Renata went with her Carlos willingly which she did not.
So when he gets her back under his roof he has to decipher whether she is a traitor or not.
They are to be married to form an alliance a marriage of convenience..But they are attracted to one another and there is no way they can hide it or not act upon it.
Carlos is a threat and is trying to kill his sister Renata for money and Carlos is not alone in wanting her dead the people Carlos works for wants her inheritance too.
Savage is an action packed steamy enemies to lovers romance..Narrated by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross who do a great performance of these characters. They had really amazing accents and never lost it through-out the story.
They were a fantastic choice for Ollie and Renata and I loved listening to them.
This book is a wonderful edition to this series and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Fabulous.
41/2 stars.

Such a fantastic read!

As with all the other stories in the Romanov series, I could not put this down, once I began reading. So, plan your time accordingly. *wink*

Feeding off of Lev and Isabella's story, this continues the storyline of the dangers Carlos poses to the Romanov family. Only now, we see the depths he's willing to sink to, to get what he wants, and his sister Renata is his next weapon. Of course, based on how things went in Shackled, the prior book, Renata is deemed a traitor - by both sides. And as the adage goes, keep your enemies closer... so of course - the logical thing is for Ollie to marry her. (But that is what we love about this series, isn't it?)

As Renata tries to gain Ollie's trust (and love) again, and prove that she is not working against the Romanovs, she begins to repair her relationship with Isabella as well. Ollie swore he wasn't going to fall for his wife, but we all know how that goes. He is everything we love about these guys: focused, protective, devoted, and ruthless.

This story continues to deliver everything we love about this author: heart-pounding dangers, satisfying retributions, intense bloody conflicts, captivating intrigue, compelling family drama and betrayals, scorching chemistry, and a gripping conclusion. I loved their HEA.

I strongly recommend reading this in the correct order, so you have the most entertaining and spoiler free read possible. Once you complete these, I recommend visiting her catalog, and diving into another equally addictive and engaging series. You won’t regret it!

I never want this series to end! I received a complimentary copy of this book (thank you) and happily leave my review.

I've absolutely been loving this series 😍 each Romanov brother has been 🤌🏻 but there's something about Ollie!! Urgh lush!!

Savage is Ollie and Renata's story, you can read this as a standalone but I do recommend reading the other stories because you get to know each and every one of these brothers. Each brother is married now and Ollie is the last one standing lol. He was always adamant he wouldn't marry and he wouldn't fall for a woman.....that's until he meets Renata!!

Renata is the sister of the sadistic cartel leader Carlos Carrera. Ollie had her trapped in his family home until she made a run for it back to her brother.....is this true? Did she just up and leave at her own accord or was she taken? So now Ollie who has fallen for Renata wants her back in his hands he wants to know if he can trust her again. He believes she is a traitor and she is a means to hurt them and do them harm as a family. When Ollie finds her bruised and battered after Carlos tells her to infiltrate the Romanov house to get information if not he'll kill Ollie in front of her, he's torn......does he trust her now? When she tells him Carlos is dead is she telling the truth? To keep Renata safe Lev suggests they marry she knows there is no point saying no....this will happen. Will this draw Carlos out of hiding?

God this was super fast paced and I loved it!!! It's not my absolute favourite from this series but it's up there. There are so many twists and turns and ups and downs my head spun but in a good way. Honestly Jane Henry knows how to write a MMC 🥵 each and every brother is just yummy. I can't wait to see what's coming next.

Get ready to get swapped away with this compelling and entertaining story.

Savage is the sixth book in the Wicked Vows Series. Jane Henry has a true talent of telling stories like no one else. You will be immersed into the lives of the characters. The author has a way of making the characters relatable and believable. You root for them to find their HEA. Ollie and Renata have secrets and vulnerabilities. The chemistry and attraction between them is red-hot. Ollie is an over the top alpha male. Renata is a strong, fierce woman, who is in a tough spot because of her brother. Ollie believes that Renata betrayed him. I feel for Renata. She is being threatened by her brother. I loved the banter between Ollie & Renata. These two are perfect for each other.

I really loved the romance, suspense and vulnerability. This story has many twists and turns. Savage has a unique storyline, intrigue, love, passion, secrets, amazing characters, suspense, action, banter, all the feels, betrayal, and so much more. If you love alpha males, feisty heroines, and suspense, then Savage is a must read.

The last single Romanov brother is about to be taken off the market.
Ollie is a man of few words. Takes the safety of his family extremely seriously.
And is the last bachelor of the family. He knows marriage is a means to an end.
Renata is strong and fierce. She is being hunted by her brother. And is considered a traitor by him.
She is also considered a traitor by the Romanov family.
My heart broke for her. She is stuck between a rock and hard place. She has no real options or time isn’t on her side.
Ollie is hard and without mercy with his enemies. Ruthless and dangerous he doesn’t hesitate to do what is necessary for his family.
But there is a side to him that is reserved only for Renata. I loved seeing his possessive and over protective nature when it came to her.
Their dynamics are very complicated. But one thing that is clear is their chemistry.
It’s always at the forefront of everything that is taking place with them. It’s intense and consuming.
But what I really appreciated was the growth and development they went through.
Both as individuals and as a couple. It was heartwarming to see them learn to trust and take chances with each other. And seeing them becoming more stable and constant.
I enjoyed the suspense and drama taking place.
There were some tidbits dropped and I have a feeling that it has to do with the next book and I’m so excited to see what is coming up next!

MAGNIFICENT!!! What a thrilling and enticing dark mafia romances. The Wicked Vows series from author Jane Henry truly has all the qualities and passion we absolutely love.
I couldn’t wait to read Ollie’s book and let me say that Jane did not disappoint me, she gave me MORE than I anticipated.
Ollie and Renata’s story is off the charts HOT, FASCINATING and INTERESTING.

Forced into marriage,Renata doesn’t want to relinquish her personal control but Ollie wants nothing more than dominant and have her kneel before him. If not, Ollie isn’t opposed to punishing her in the most sensual ways.
Both strong willed, these characters will navigate through their feelings and their need to take charge…let me say that the banter between Ollie and Renata isn’t only witty and amusing but downright sexy.
They are faced with a dangerous challenge and Ollie has sworn to protect Renata, but she hasn’t yet come to terms with the betrayal and this has Renata emotionally damaged. Ollie is discovering how profound and deeply this is affecting Renata and it’s a pivotal change that carries a significant impact on how he views his relationship and feelings for his wife.
So if you’re looking to lose yourself in an enemies to lovers, revenge seeking, alluring, suspenseful, wonderfully intriguing and steamy mafia romance, you will be thoroughly captivated, consumed and delighted with Ollie and Renata’s REMARKABLY entertaining and beautiful story.
