Legacy: A Crazy Good Novel

Rate this book
Wren King always knew her true destiny and master plan. She was merely prolonging the execution by travelling the world for a year after she graduated the Naval Academy. A British up-and-coming recording artist tempted her with love, but instead of proposing marriage, he stomped on her heart by having a highly-publicized affair with a celebrity who is famous for being famous.

With Wren’s father finishing his career as a SEAL BUD/S instructor in Coronado, she is back to seize what is rightfully hers and heal her broken heart.

Wren King will be the first female Navy SEAL.

Luke Hart, Wren’s teammate, has his own LEGACY to fulfill as the son of a legendary SEAL. Even though Wren is off limits, and as complicated as their friendship becomes, Luke finds himself questioning everything about what he thought he wanted in life.

Once a playboy, maybe never again a playboy?

Luke and Wren are following the legacy set forth for them by their parents, but the passion and love they find along the journey is forbidden.

Is true love worth the risk?

Smoking hot, but somewhat rushed

No cliffhanger
Standalone though part of a larger series
Children from prior books all grown up
Told from both POVs
Forbidden love romance

I absolutely love this author and love this series. This book was no different. I ate it up as soon as I started reading it. It was all the things you look for in a book, including the perfect mix of angst, passion, hope and love.

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there were times the book felt rushed. Like just a bit more build to something would have put this over the top for me.

Still a great read though!
