Dan Kerr, co-writer of the Mystery Destiny series achieved his lifetime membership with the International Association for Identification in 2024, for his work with evidence collection at accidents, sudden death and crime scenes. Dan combined his professional police knowledge with his personal experience involving multiple intensive care admissions and invasive ventilation, to become a cozy mystery writer.
Dan tried working as a rural postal carrier when retired, but as his dogs didn’t fit in the truck with all the mail, he decided to build airplanes instead. He knows there’s always a reason for going postal.

Rita, Kate’s mother is based on a real person, who lives to feed the hungry. Patricia and Dan express their gratitude with a mouth-watering appreciation for Rita’s lasagna and beet pickles.
Explosive Delivery challenges the perception that disease is easy to diagnose while living day by day with the symptoms is the true test. Rare Disease Day is recognized on the last day of February each year. There are 7,000 known rare diseases and many more waiting for a name. One in 10 Canadians have a rare disease.
