Christmas magic sparkles in small towns but can love bloom under the mistletoe?
The charm of quaint holiday towns is no match for these heartwarming romances. Fate brings together couples who discover the true meaning of Christmas, but first, they must navigate the festive season and their own hesitations. As they find themselves under the mistletoe, they learn that sometimes, all it takes is one kiss to change everything. Each story in 'Mistletoe Kisses' celebrates the joy of finding love during the most wonderful time of the year.
Susanne Ash writes sweet contemporary romance. When she's not busy putting pen to paper, she loves to cook, knit, and head out exploring with her husband and daughter. She lives close to the beach in beautiful South Carolina. You'll find that her setting is often a fictionalized version of her surroundings and the places she's visiting with her family.
This was a very sweet story of a musician and a music store owner falling in love. Ella Langford was on her way home from New York. She had left to try and start her music career but other then a few gigs in bars she had gotten no further. So now Ella is headed home to Palmer Island for Christmas. Her sister Jenna meets her at the airport and they proceed to catch up on the way back to the house. She finally admits that she has to tell Ella some news. She is dating Chandler (Ella's ex-boyfriend) and they have been dating for about 4 months. Ella thinks about this and then says to herself--oh great here I am coming home with no music career and no boyfriend and my little sister is dating my ex-boyfriend. Might as well have my pity party now as all of our friends and family are gonna be talking about me this year. Poor Ella she has no career and no boyfriend, what a loser!
She decided to talk a walk on the beach just to clear her head. She has to find a way to avoid this holiday awkwardness that is going to be happening. While walking on the beach she runs into a lifetime friend, Dylan Thorne. They have both spent a lot of time in the music store which his dad owns and now Dylan has taken over the store. She explains the situation to Dylan and begs him to be her pretend boyfriend just for the holidays. Little does Ella know that Dylan has had a crush on her forever. As they attend the holiday events and rehashing old memories, their pretend relationship seems to blossom into something more. So it makes you think are they really falling in love? Is the magic of Christmas working on them and leading to my one true love?
Mistletoe Harmonies is part of the Mistletoe Kisses series. This is a multi-author series of quick romances, perfect for the holiday season. All can be enjoyed as standalones or in any order.
What a sweet holiday read! Fake dating + friends to more + Christmas--- what could be better than that? When Ella returns home to discover her sister is dating her ex and he'll be joining them for their family festivities, she decided to enlist her friend Dylan to pretend to be her boyfriend to make things less likely... but it doesn't take long for very real feelings to start showing. These two were really sweet together and I couldn't help but enjoy their easy chemistry. One of the things I love about friends to love is that you already have that history and foundation for the relationship, which is perfect for shorter stories like this one to keep the romance from feeling rushed. While I enjoyed the characters and definitely could have enjoyed more time with them too, their story felt complete despite its very short length. At less than 100 pages, I was able to read it in less than an hour... making it the perfect quick read for the busy holiday season!
Mistletoe Harmonies is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

It’s not like she enjoys music anymore. Now she finds out her sister is dating Ella’s ex boyfriend. What else can happen? An old friend agrees to be her fake boyfriend so it won’t feel awkward around her family and ex. Dylan Thorn works at his family’s music store. He wants Ella to enjoy music again. Can they pull it off with the fake relationship? As they spend time together, the old memories come back. Why does the fake relationship feel real? Dylan has always had a crush on her. Can Dylan help her find her love of music again? Will the Christmas spirit and magic help these two ? I was rooting for this couple. All they have to do is realize what is right in front of them. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily
This is one of the best short holiday stories I have read. I loved the characters, Ella and Dylan. If Ella hadn’t chosen Dylan, I would have! What a kind, caring, and thoughtful guy. One you want as a friend or more. Ella has lost her passion and is confused on multiple levels about her future. These two come together through a falsehood that is rooted in truth. I believe that Love Always Wins and these two deserve their HEA. I appreciated the musical references throughout the story related to love and life. This was a story that moved quickly, but with enough detail, yet never bogged you down in minutia. After falling for Ella and Dylan, I found the author has a bonus epilogue through her newsletter that added just the right touch of additional happiness-don’t miss it. I truly enjoyed this story and have already added others by Susanne Ash to my TBR list.
What a brilliant sweet Christmas story. Ella moved to LA to pursue her singing career, now coming home to Palmer Island disillusioned with her life. Everything looks the same but nothing feels right, finding out your sister is dating your ex when your life is falling apart. Great just Great. Dylan knew she was coming home for Christmas but never expected to walk right into her. Ella has been his secret crush since forever and now she's right in front of him. Once you start you can't stop reading its great the story is only short but at the same time so much happens it feels longer. If you love hallmark films this is right up your street. Sit back and get in the festive mood you want regret it
Ella is headed back home after trying her hand with her music career. She is in for the shock of her life when she finds out her sister is dating Ella's ex-boyfriend. This may be an awkward Christmas. After she literally runs into her best friend from high school, Dylan, she comes up with the idea of a fake romance to make the holidays a little smoother with someone by her side.
This sweet Christmas novella can be read in less than an hour, but this small read packed quite the punch with so many wonderful scenes and characters. The fake relationship trope is an interesting one for all parties involved, and this one was no exception.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Is a sweet small town, fake relationship, friends to lovers, Christmas romance with no cliffhanger. Some of the lines I really like ---- "Sometimes the best things in life are worth waiting for," ---- "You could never be rusty. It’s like riding a bike—you never forget." ---- "You are more than good enough. You’re incredible. New York wasn’t ready for you yet." ---- "I'd rather take the risk than spend the rest of my life wondering what might have been." ---- What's Jenna worried about? What's Miss Doris up to? These and other questions will all be answered. I loved Ella and Dylan's story and I'm sure you will too. I've loved everyone of her books that I've read and listened to. I can't wait to read her next book.
This was such a sweet Christmas novella. I devoured this book in an hour so it's a quick read and will give you all the feels. Susanne had me hooked from the beginning until the end. Ella comes back home for the holidays to find her sister is dating her ex-boyfriend Chandler. Not wanting to deal with all the awkwardness she convinces her childhood best friend Dylan to pose as her boyfriend. We all know what happens when fake relationships happen. LOL This was so cute and fun. I would definitely recommend this book. If you want to get into the holiday spirit this one will definitely help you get there.
Thank you Susanne Ash for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.
Short but sweet read about a musician down on her life in NYC the past 2 years. Elle, who kept getting rejections has come home for the Christmas holidays and was informed on way home to Palmar Island by her younger sister, that she and her ex are dating. Tired of life's treatment Elle goes for walk along beach and runs into, literally, Dylan her long time best friend since early childhood.
Dylan agrees to be her fake boyfriend for these two weeks and they both delve into music together, that they have always been a great duo together in and both love music. Enjoyable read about music and their relationship.
Mistletoe Harmonies is a part of the Mistletoe Kisses Collaboration of Christmas theme novellas.
This is a really sweet fake dating between childhood best friends who never seem to get the timing right. Ella is a musician who attempted a career in New York and soon lost her confidence. When she returns home for the holidays, she finds out her sister is dating he ex.
When she bumps into her childhood friend Dylan she quickly asks him to be her date for a few family gatherings. However they both realize that their old feelings for each other haven't faded like they thought and a Christmas concert just might bring them together for real.
Oh hot and holy cow. Talk about too stinking cute! These two friends for ages who turned lovers is practically the sweetest thing ever. And now I want one.
Dylan and Ella are just made for each other. And in every scene, I felt like I was with them, feeling my heart swoon over these sweet and joyous moments. And come on, they totally swept me off my feet. Fake dating at its finest, when there are already heavy feelings underneath.
Don't miss this sweet, short, sassy holiday read that will certainly give you all the romantic moments ever needed.
Finding out her sister is dating her ex is unsettling. Learning he will be at the family holiday get togethers is upsetting. How is she going to handle it? When her male best friend agrees to help she doesn't realize he's loved her for years. Will he be able to get the relationship from fake to real? What happens when she learns the truth? I received a copy of this book from the author. Review voluntarily given.
THis book was so much fun to read. I liked how Ella decided she needed a fake boyfriend to survive the holiday get togethers with her sister Jenna, who was now dating Chandler, her ex-boyfriend. How fitting she asked her best friend, Dylan to help her out. I really liked the characters and how the title played into the story. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
What a delightful, heartwarming Christmas romance. Ella returns home to Palmer Island after a less than stellar career in New York. She learns her ex boyfriend is now dating her sister. So, she asks her best friend Dylan to pretend to be her boyfriend to get her through the holidays. Miss Doris is a meddlesome neighbor who loves to help out and a sweet addition. Get your holidays started reading this wonderful book.
Ella asks her best friend Dylan to be her fake boyfriend after finds out on her visit home that her sister is dating her ex. Chandler didn’t sound like a good match for Ella anyway, but Dylan certainly is with their mutual love of music and singing. It starts out fake but soon they want it to be real if only they’ll find the courage to tell each other. This was a sweet friends to lovers holiday novella romance.
Mistletoe Harmonies is a heartwarming, small town, friends to more, fake relationship, Christmas romance. I love how Dylan encourages Ella’s talent when she is so down on herself. The length is just right so you can read the entire book when you need an extra dose of Christmas cheer. Come read about this sweet couple and the way their friends leads to an HEA. This is a charming tale!
You’ll love this sweet, small town romance featuring Ella and Dylan. In the spirit of Christmas this cute couple go from friends to much more! A really great heartwarming romance that you can easily read in one sitting. Will definitely get you in the holiday spirit. I read a free copy via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.
This Christmas novella has so much love and support for one person that thinks she's a failure but learns she's more than her music. The characters mix and mingle well together on this small island. You can envision all the lights and Christmas decorations while you read about them. The mistletoe seems to be everywhere of course. A must read for happy feeling during any time of year!
I don’t think it is a spoiler to say we all knew that Ella and Dylan’s “fake” relationship wasn’t going to change into something more, that is unless this is your first romance, then I’m sorry to have ruined the surprise. This is a fun and entertaining story and will bring a smile to your face. We even get an extended epilogue.
What an adorable short story! When Leah returns home for the holidays, single and feeling like her career is failing, her best friend Dylan immediately swoops in and saves the day, winning her heart in return. I loved that Dylan found a way to help her find her love of music again. They make a wonderful team and I’m excited to read more about Palmar Island and its residents!
Ella asks her old friend Dylan to be her boyfriend. Sweet romance novel with great characters. I really enjoyed the growth of the characters and dreaming along with their story. A quick read for a relaxing afternoon.
What a sweet heartwarming romance! It's a beautifully written romance that hooks you on the first page. This book is the perfect length to relax with after a hard day. I loved it! I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
I enjoy quick satisfying romances. Ella and Dylan and their friendship is one of those stories. Small town, loving family and friends dynamics are so heartwarming to read about.
Ella and Dylan were best friends, so being in a fake romance was easy for them, at least until it wasn't. I enjoyed this sweet romance and all the characters back on Palmer Island.
