A safety nerve that you learn to control!

An empowering and informative read on self development by controlling and understanding the vagal nerve, using breathing, meditation, and mindfulness techniques. I particularly like the QR codes and links to the audio instructions to each of the exercises as well as the diagrams, which help to understand the areas of the body you are working with. I certainly found many of the exercises very useful in helping me to control my anxiety during stressful situations. Wonderful! Highly recommend.

The author does a great job of introducing readers to an overview of the vagus nerve, its importance and quality of life implications. The overview is paired with different exercise options. This book does not offer an exhaustive amount of detail about the vagus nerve or how to alleviate dysfunctions. However, the exercises selected offer a good sampling of strategies to help make things better - breathing, motion, interaction, massage, et cetera. This book will help get people new to the topic started on their learning path, with a few butterfly hugs along the way.

A must-read for anyone and everyone

I bought this book wanting to learn more about the Vagus Nerve and not having much prior knowledge. It was so interesting and insightful whilst also containing a vast number of practical exercises and application. This has been extremely helpful for me to read and I’ll likely return to read this book again and continue to use the exercises well into the future.

A Helpful Guide for Calming Anxiety

I found this book to be well written and easy to follow. The exercises are easy and sound like they would be effective to help regulate the nervous system. Our world is so full of stress and many of us have experienced our bodies betraying us with fight or flight sensations when there is no reason for it. I think this guide will be helpful to those suffering with an over active nervous system.

some nice information

Written in clear, concise language and meticulously researched, this book demystifies polyvagal therapy and provides plenty of information on the vagus nerve. What’s more, some of the deep breathing exercises go beyond the in through your nose and out through your mouth tropes.
