Sage Parker is almost always good for twists, turns and complexity. When I was a kid many women found themselves in poverty after divorce or widowhood. There were many laws that passed that attempted to help. Despite this I always had separate bank accounts when married. It ended up being the right decision. While this still happens many younger women may find it hard to relate to this character. This is too bad because there is some important information in this story.
Two of the things that bother me the most are that the character assumes things easily and that the feds haven’t shown up.
All I have to say is OMG!!!! I did not see the cliffhanger coming. Bonnie gets better at her job but learns more secrets about Peter. She learns that she can not trust anyone but herself. I am dying to see where this ends!!!!.

Bonnie continues to work at the shop and is fitting in quite well. Hannah her boss has given her more responsibility and this gives Bonnie a better feeling towards the future. Kitty hasn't been doing well and Bonnie takes her to the vet and finds out that she is pregnant. Bonnie is stressing about the cost of the vet bills and the cost of getting her spayed after she delivers the kittens. One of her purses sells on the auction site and this makes Bonnie very happy as it will pay the vet bill. Bonnie is still digging into the mess that Peter left her in. She found the 2 million dollars but is afraid to touch it, even tho it is in her name she thinks that it is dirty money. After researching into the problems Peter left behind Bonnie finds out that her neighbour Jack is very involved in it. He is playing so nice with her, she isn't trusting him anymore. After going thru Peter's emails she is at work on a break and receives an email with a name that Peter called her back in college and only he would know. She is suspicious and when she opens the link it is a first class ticket to the Cayman Islands and a reservation to a resort, both in Bonnie's name. They are for the next day... Is Peter alive? I can't wait to read the final book in this series to see if they have a happy ending!.

Bonnie is starting to enjoy her job and her boss, Hannah, is using her knowledge of ancient cultures in buying merchandise for the store. Then she comes home and finds her stray Kitty listless. It scares her so much, she rushes the cat to the Vet, where she finds out her cat is pregnant. With the Vet bill and other bills, Bonnie looks harder at the paper her dead husband left her. Since she figured it out, she decides to look into it and discovers two million dollars in her name only. This money, could solve all her problems, but is it legally hers. Then she remembers Peters laptop and figures out the password. While looking for legal papers, she learns multiple businesses, and people were sueing Peter and one of the businesses was Barlow Financial, which is her neighbor Jacks business. Now what does she do? Is Jack just using her for information to use in the lawsuit? While she is pondering this she receives an email from Lancelot with an attachment. Bonnie is stunned, because Lancelot was her secret name for her dead husband., and the attachment is a one way first class ticket to the Cayman Islands. What does all this mean?
The suspense continues … and so do the complications, and so do the questions. They keep piling up. Just who can Bonnie trust? I questioned Jack’s actions a couple books back… when he just up and left after Bonnie showed him a back page of a paper filled with passwords. Now, even more, I question just what Jack knows.
And what’s this about Peter? All along I’ve questioned his death. Remember it was a closed casket funeral and Bonnie didn’t even get to see his body in the morgue or anytime else after his ‘death’. Is Peter really dead? What’s going on with those emails? Lots of questions. It’s time for answers. We’ll get all the gaps filled in the next book.
One thing is certain,Bonnie is one strong woman. She has to be to contend with all the upheaval she’s experiencing. I hope Peter knew (or knows) just how special his wife is. Not many could go thru all the trials and tribulations that Bonnie has with the mess Peter has left her. All I can say is she has been on one humdinger of a ride and, like Bonnie, I’m soooo ready for answers.

So Bonnie decides that enough is enough she is going to learn all she can about crypto currency and figure out what Peter did or did not do. She comes across some really interesting information and is now in shock at what Peter did. She is torn between doing the right thing and just enjoying the rest of her life but knows that she is not the type of person who can hurt other people so she goes back to work and is really becoming a success in the store. She and Jack seem to be getting closer and she has fantasies of even being in a relationship with him even though she has been his neighbor and friends with both he and his wife for years. Of course then the bottom falls out at the end of this story and we are left to look and wonder again how she is going to handle things. Book 6 soon and will wrap up everything in a nice little package with a pretty bow on top just like Sage always does.

After coming off a very emotional book (Home Front by Kristen Hannah) I wanted to read something “lite” I saw Memories on the Lake on Kindle Unlimited so I downloaded it and began reading. I had no idea it was a series until I got to the end at page 77 when I realized there are 6 “books.” Well I was invested after book 1 and since I’m laid up on the sofa with icky germs 😷🤒 I plowed through them all. 466 pages total.
I am counting all 6 as one book as each of them were only 77-81 pages long and the way each “book” ended there is no way you could classify it as a book. They truly ended in the middle of a chapter. It’s a very good story that kept my attention and all 6 are an easy read. I give the series a 3 because there wasn’t anything earth shattering that made my jaw drop and I didn’t cry. This would make for a good vacation read or quick airplane trip read. On to my next read…
The suspense is certainly getting higher and Bonne is left contemplating her future once again as he life continues it tumultuous path. Just when she thinks she can manager her life it seems fate throws her a curveball and now that Kitty is pregnant Bonnie has to decide how to proceed especially when her funds are diminished. Bonnie receives a mystery email and it can only be from Peter but how could that be? The next instalment is going to be so epic with hopefully all the answers to our questions and the truth to Peter’s business dealings finally coming to light.

“Whatever Peter had done, that was his business, not hers. She couldn’t worry herself about it any further. Instead, she would focus on her future and taking care of herself. There had been growing pains, and she was sure there would be more”-experts Wow, the story is picking up on suspense. More twists, and the cliffhanger…. Love as Bonnie growing her backbone, finally the smart, intelligent woman is ready to face the challenges and find the truth. How many kittens we will have?.

Bonnie's life gets more complicated every day. Kitty is pregnant, she learns more about the lawsuit and that she really can't trust anyone, even Jack. She finally gets into Peter's email and receives the strangest message. Is it from Peter, someone who has hacked into the account?? I can't wait to learn what happens. Memories on the Lake is book #5 in the Lake Placid series by Sage Parker.

Bonnie figured out the crypto password and how to open it to open it.
It had $2 Million dollars in it. WHAT!!!!
She also figured out Peters email password and found evidence of the Lawsuits against HIM!!!! One specifically from Miles. What was going on? She also saw Barlow Construction on the list. That was Jack's company.
Who could she trust?
Another great read Sage . Can't wait for #6 .

Bonnie is slowly fitting into her new normal. She is finding clues and it leads her to money that is in her name. She goes through the emails of her husband. It makes her question how truthful people have been with her. She receives an email for a plane ticket to the Cayman Islands. Who is sending her this email?.

After finishing all 6 books, I feel like it was very drawn out & could have been condensed down quite a bit. It took all 6 books to finally come to an end. Each book left you on a cliffhanger & picked up at the beginning of the next book. Overall, it was a quick read and entertained me enough to finish all of them. I'm not sure I would recommend this series. It just wasn't exciting enough, in my opinion.
What is going on now? Bonnie is working and finding herself and now she finds out Kitty is pregnant with kittens, and she cannot trust her neighbor anymore. As she goes thru Peter email strange think are happening and she don’t know what to d Can’t wait for the last book to see where this goes.

Memories on the Lake, Book Five, has Bonnie facing surprise after surprise in her life. She is not sure who to trust about the lawsuit filed against Peter prior to his death which includes Jack. The book ends in a jaw dropping cliffhanger and I can hardly wait until Book Six is released.

I'm blown away again by another fantastic book in this series, i.e. Memories on the Lake. Sage Parker never disappoints with her story telling and after a sensational story, she ends each book in the series with a cliff hanger. A must-read book and series.
I read this book a part of an advance reader team and am voluntarily writing this review.
Memories on the Lake Book 5 had me guessing and trying to figure out who knew what and why will no one give Bonnie any answers. Sage Parker is an excellent author and knows how to give readers a cliffhanger at the end that makes readers anxious for the answers that will come in the next book.

This book takes up where Book 4 left off. Bonnie is beginning to settle into her new life nicely, then as with the rest of her life, things get turned upside down. Will Jack the neighbor turn out to be a good guy or is he just trying to get information from her? Could the strange e-mail actually be true? I always enjoy Sage Parker's book series. This is one of the best. I can't wait for the conclusion.

Even more secrets are unveiled. The story is really good to follow along with the older characters. I like the fact that there are older characters in the story and interesting ones and the town as well. Like the setting and small towns make it very interesting. Good read.

Bonnie has had about enough surprises for now. Too bad it seems that boring and calm is not in the cards for her. The pages just fly by as you are reading this and each book ends too soon. Loving this series and now I am holding my breath for book 6.
This installment is full of twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages. I can't wait for the next installment to see how everything wraps up.
