Rate this book
The average life expectancy in the world is 72 years. That's 26,280 days or 630,720 hours. Imagine reaching the end of your life and having spent so much time in “autopilot” mode!
Taking away the hours we spend sleeping and working, how much of the remaining time do we dedicate to our hobbies? To our education? To our loved ones? To introspection? How will we know if we are living as we would really like if we do not dedicate even a few seconds a day to discovering our needs and our deepest desires?
Our present is influenced by the decisions we made in the past, and we build our future based on the actions we take here and now. What kind of future can we expect if, instead of spending time on what we want, we use it to satisfy the demands and expectations of others?
It is vital to understand and change our thoughts in order to modify our actions and, thus, improve our quality of life. Through a short fiction, the author demonstrates the shocking result that is obtained when we dedicate, at least, a short time daily to ourselves.

The objective of this book is to address those people who, despite being satisfied with their current situation, they want to improve themselves even more. It promotes the idea of not settling for what is established and motivates them to seek greater achievements. 20 keys are presented to achieve the desired well-being. Although people may agree with all or only some of them. The crucial thing is that each individual identifies those that are useful to him and that he feels comfortable with his choice.
During reading, each individual will be able to find new keys to apply to his life. For this book to be effective, it is necessary to fulfill two essential having the firm intention of choosing the best and dedicating time to reflection.
Usually, when reading we adopt a passive attitude, we look for a comfortable place and we prepare to enjoy our moment of relaxation. The purpose of this book is for each person to take an active role, create and design their own plan to "choose to be better."
Within a specific section, the initial questions necessary to put these 20 guidelines into practice are described. From these questions, a personalized plan is created that each person will adjust to their lifestyle.
The most important term in the title is 'choose', which involves making a conscious decision using all our intellectual potential to select a specific path or alternative. In the course of an ordinary day, we continually make choices by deciding between various alternatives presented to us.

On the cover we see a man who is feeling well, symbolized by having achieved a goal, and his arm points towards something he is looking for, a goal he aspires to. At the top of the mountain, that same man is seen raising his arm in a gesture of victory for having arrived there, after ascending a ladder with 20 steps.

The 20 keys values, be present in the present moment, have projects, culture of effort, optimism, taking responsibility for our thoughts and actions, money management, gratitude, solidarity, excellence, live-love-learn, healthy lifestyle, the power of writing, we can’t control an event, but we can control our response, traveling is much more pleasant than arriving at your destination, focus on what is important, the map is not the territory, doers or dreamers, balancing short and long term objectives, difference between being and having.

In short, this book motivates people to act and explore new experiences in order to improve their present situation.

Effort Over Fear Wins Every Time

At 70, I’ve been through wars—literal and emotional—and I can honestly say this book caught me off guard in the best way. Its storytelling style felt more like a heart-to-heart conversation than a lecture. The child-learning-to-walk analogy stopped me in my tracks. As a retired high school teacher, I instantly thought of students who’d given up too early—not for lack of talent, but because fear stole their will to try.

This book reminded me that trying is enough. That resilience beats brilliance when nurtured. I wish I had handed out copies during my teaching days, just to get them to feel this message in their bones. It doesn’t shout at you to change—it whispers truths you already know but may have forgotten.

For anyone who’s tired, stuck, or playing small—this one’s for you. Effort, not talent, is what keeps us walking forward.

Wow, where do I even start? Have you ever been lucky to find a book that speaks to you they way you’d like a friend to talk to you in your current situation? Well, I’m one of the lucky few. A few days ago, a friend ofine recommended this book to me and, my God, has it delivered. Pablo Atrici has masterfully written a book that guides the reader through important moments in their lives, and how to make the best choice while navigating them. I wouldn’t call this book a self-guide or motivational book, because it is so much more than that. The format used by Pablo makes the book feel like a conversation with one’s mentor or role model. For me, this felt like a conversation with my late uncle whom I had always relied upon for advice. As a reader, every possible question you might have about balancing work with life, business or success, Pablo Atrici has all your answers. Even better, Pablo shares his personal experiences, showing you how easy it is to make mistakes, but also how to rise from challenges to become the best version of your self. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to anyone who feels stuck between a rock and a hard place, or maybe you just feel like you haven't been winning at life lately. This book is for you. Good luck on your journey, and I can guarantee you that this book will help you take those first few and hard steps.

In a world where busyness has become a badge of honor and stress is often worn like a second skin, Don’t Settle, Choose to Feel Good offers a powerful invitation: stop merely existing and start consciously choosing a better, more meaningful way to live. With warmth, clarity, and a quietly persuasive tone, Pablo Tricci guides readers through 20 impactful “keys” that open the door to a more intentional, fulfilling life.

This is not just a motivational book—it is a tool for transformation. Tricci starts with a compelling truth: life is short. The average human lifespan boils down to just over 26,000 days—and once you subtract time spent sleeping and working, the moments left to truly live become even fewer. This sharp awareness of time is not presented to alarm but to awaken. What are we doing with our precious hours? Are we on autopilot, fulfilling others’ expectations, or are we actively steering our lives toward joy, authenticity, and growth?

The strength of this book lies in its approachability. It doesn’t claim to have all the answers, nor does it present a one-size-fits-all formula. Instead, the 20 keys offered—from cultivating gratitude and optimism to mastering money management and embracing mindfulness—are stepping stones. Readers are encouraged to reflect on each, decide what resonates most deeply with them, and create a personalized plan for their own journey toward well-being.

Each “key” is rooted in both philosophical depth and practical application. For instance, the book urges us to “be present in the moment,” a concept often tossed around but rarely explored in such a grounded way. Tricci doesn’t just tell you to be mindful—he provides entry points, questions for reflection, and small, doable practices that can lead to lasting inner change.

The use of a short fiction narrative as a framing device is a clever and impactful touch. It allows readers to witness the transformative power of these concepts through story, offering a vision of what’s possible when even a few minutes a day are spent tuning into our needs, goals, and dreams.

Importantly, this is not a passive read. Tricci is upfront in saying that the book will only be effective if two things are present: a sincere intention to grow and a commitment to reflection. He invites readers to engage actively, take notes, answer prompts, and design their own growth plan based on what truly matters to them. The inclusion of these exercises makes this book more like a personal workbook than a traditional self-help manual.

The true standout message? Choice. As Tricci explains, the most important word in the title isn’t “feel good”—it’s “choose.” Every day, in small and large ways, we are faced with decisions. This book empowers us to make those decisions more consciously and more in alignment with our values and desired future.

Whether you’re someone who already lives with purpose and just wants to fine-tune your path, or you’re standing at a personal crossroads wondering what’s next, Don’t Settle, Choose to Feel Good meets you right where you are. Its strength lies not only in what it teaches but in how it teaches—gently, encouragingly, and with deep respect for the individuality of each reader.

This is a beautifully written and refreshingly practical book that doesn’t promise quick fixes but instead equips you with lasting tools for personal development. Its blend of introspection, realism, and optimism makes it stand out in a crowded genre. If you’re looking for a book that encourages deep reflection, empowers you to take control of your choices, and reminds you that joy and fulfillment are never out of reach—this is it.

In Don’t Settle, Choose To Feel Good: 20 Keys To Achieve It by Pablo Tricci, he explains to his readers that the average life expectancy in the world is 72 years. Imagine though at the end of your life, instead of looking back on your life full of personal achievements and self-respect, you have many regrets because you didn’t invest in yourself with self-love and care. Or that you didn’t achieve enough personal goals you had hoped to in your lifetime? Our decisions made today are all hinged on things that happened to us in the past. If you had the knowledge and resources presented to you, wouldn’t you want to make positive changes in your life now before it’s too late and you’re filled with regrets?

Tricci has presented his readers with a book of knowledge in which he offers suggestions everyone can adopt presently in their lives that will pay ten-fold in having a life filled with love, self-care and respect for yourself. He has given his readers 20 keys to success in helping them achieve personal goals in which they will feel fulfilled and will allow them to have no regrets when their ending time on earth is near.

From the first page, this book pulls the readers in and holds their attention until the very last page. What reader wouldn’t want to take a little time out of every day, no matter how busy you might be, to offer yourself some self-love and care? Tricci mentions that if you truly want to love yourself, you’ll find even just a few minutes a day to care for yourself. Small daily tasks will help you reap endless positive rewards later on.

The author has presented 20 keys to his readers which offer food for thought on each topic discussed. Such topics of discussion that really stand out are: 1) Optimism; 2) Taking responsibility for our thoughts and actions; 3) Gratitude; and 4) The power of writing.

The first key is optimism, which is a person’s perception of how they live a certain moment and whether they either see things in an optimistic or a pessimistic way. When you feel good, you radiate positive energy which in turn, helps you to see the optimistic side of things.

Another key offered is that each one of us should take responsibility for our thoughts and actions. In taking responsibility for what we think about and how we think about it, we are taking responsibility for our thoughts and actions. It is up to you to think about a specific thought and decide to totally discard it because it will only waste your time and won’t help you to move forward in achieving your goals no matter how small or big they might be.

Still another key offered is one of gratitude. The more grateful we are, the more good that will come our way. We should be grateful daily for all that is around us. One thing we should be grateful for first is that we were given our senses to enjoy all that surrounds us.

One last key to mention is the power of writing. When we write down our life purpose, it helps us discover what we really want, helps motivate us to achieve it, and allows us to decide the plan of action of how we should get there. Writing also helps us keep special memories alive so we can cherish them over and over again.

Quill says: Don’t Settle, Choose To Feel Good: 20 Keys To Achieve It by Pablo Tricci is one book that has something for everyone to take away and apply to their own life. It’s a feel-good motivational book that comes highly recommended!

Pablo Tricci’s Don’t Settle, Choose to Feel Good is a refreshing and thought-provoking guide that challenges readers to take control of their lives and design a future they truly want. The book is centered on a simple yet powerful idea: our time is finite, and how we choose to use it ultimately determines the quality of our lives.

Tricci addresses an audience that isn’t necessarily dissatisfied with life but is eager to improve, grow, and achieve more. Through 20 well-structured principles, he provides a roadmap for readers to identify what matters most to them and take actionable steps toward greater fulfillment. These principles cover a wide range of topics, including the importance of gratitude, managing your thoughts, living in the present, and creating meaningful goals.A Practical and Personalized Approach
What makes this book stand out is its focus on self-reflection and active participation. Rather than delivering generic advice, Tricci encourages readers to deeply engage with the content. Each chapter includes questions and prompts designed to help individuals think critically about their choices and habits. This emphasis on tailoring the lessons to one’s unique circumstances makes the book practical and relatable.
The 20 keys aren’t rigid rules; instead, they act as suggestions that readers can adapt to their own lives. Whether it’s focusing on what’s important, balancing short- and long-term objectives, or understanding the difference between being and having, the book offers something for everyone, no matter their current stage in life.

A Motivating and Empowering Message
Tricci’s tone is motivational but never preachy. He acknowledges that change isn’t easy but emphasizes that small, consistent efforts can lead to profound results. The book’s recurring theme of choice reminds readers that they have the power to shape their own destinies, even in a world filled with external pressures and expectations.Visual Metaphor and Inspiration
The cover art, featuring a man climbing a ladder with 20 steps toward the summit of a mountain, perfectly captures the spirit of the book. It’s a visual representation of the effort and persistence needed to achieve personal growth and celebrate victories along the way.

Final Thoughts
Don’t Settle, Choose to Feel Good is an inspiring read for anyone looking to bring more intention and meaning into their life. It’s not a book to read passively; it invites you to take action and reflect on your own journey. Whether you implement one principle or all 20, Tricci’s advice can help you create a life that feels more aligned with your deepest desires and values.

*Don't Settle, Choose to Feel Good*
by Pablo Tricci
5 outof 5 🌟

This is not merely a self-help book; it is an intimate conversation between the reader and the essence of human potential. Pablo Tricci craft an experience that transcends traditional motivational narratives, urging the reader to confront the most profound question of all: *What does it mean to truly live?*

The book's brilliance lies in its duality—it is both deeply philosophical and strikingly practical. The 20 keys presented are not abstract ideas; they are tools forged from the realities of human experience, designed to awaken a dormant awareness. Tricci does not ask us to change our lives overnight. Instead, he offers a quiet, compelling challenge: take a single step. Whether it is reflecting on values, embracing gratitude, or rethinking our relationship with time, each key becomes a moment of introspection and action.

What sets this book apart is its ability to bridge the internal and external worlds. The authors illustrate how the decisions we make—however small—become the architecture of our existence. Through the metaphor of the ladder on the cover, they remind us that reaching the summit of personal growth is not about the end goal but about the transformation that occurs with each deliberate step.

Yet, what makes this book truly unique is its invitation to reject passivity. It doesn’t merely offer inspiration; it dares the reader to engage in a dialogue with themselves. The book insists on active participation, challenging us to sit with discomfort, identify gaps in our current state, and design a future guided by conscious choice.

The most striking aspect of the book is its subtle honesty. It acknowledges that not all 20 keys will resonate with everyone, and that is its strength. It trusts the reader to discern, adapt, and take ownership of their journey.

Ultimately, this is a book about freedom—the freedom to choose, to grow, and to define success on our terms. It is a manifesto for those ready to reclaim the steering wheel of their lives and drive toward a future defined not by settling, but by feeling deeply, profoundly alive.

For people who want to live a more purposeful and happy life, Pablo Tricci's Don't Settle, Choose to Feel Good is a welcome and useful manual. Tricci gives readers the tools they need to take back their time and refocus their attention on happiness, self-awareness, and personal development through 20 practical keys.

The fundamental idea of the book is based on the idea that our present and future are shaped by the choices we make now. Tricci asks readers to consider how much of their limited time is wasted automatically-fulfilling expectations from others instead of following their own desires. He provides a road map for escaping complacency and embracing a life that is in line with one's beliefs and goals, with a focus on introspection and purposeful action.

The 20 keys address a broad range of philosophical and practical subjects, such as resilience, mindfulness, thankfulness, and striking a balance between immediate and long-term objectives. Notably, Tricci explores the value of being present, prudent money management, and the transformational potential of writing. Every chapter offers readers thought provoking questions and doable actions to help them create a customized growth plan. This customized strategy guarantees that the book will continue to be applicable to a wide range of needs and lifestyles.

Tricci gives his story depth and interest through the use of realistic metaphors and storytelling, such as the ladder on the cover signifying the ascent toward personal development. His writing strikes a mix between provocative ideas and useful applications, and it is both inspirational and approachable. In order to establish their goals and determine a course of action, readers are urged to take an active role in their own self-improvement journey by engaging in a dialogue with themselves.

Don't Settle, Choose to feel Good is ultimately a call to action rather than just a self-help book. Tricci gives readers a strong sense of purpose and empowerment by encouraging them to take an active role in their own development and make thoughtful choices

Don't Settle, Choose to Feel Good by Pablo Tricci is a motivational manual for turning ordinary life into a meaningful and rewarding adventure. This book's central question is this: how much of our limited time on earth do we actually live, and how much of it do we just live automatically? Tricci provides a road plan for escaping complacency and embracing a life full of purpose, happiness, and personal development with 20 doable steps.

A somber reminder of life's fleeting nature opens the book, challenging readers to reevaluate their time management. Tricci skilfully engages readers and promotes reflection through stories and provocative questions. While the practical activities guarantee that the advice is actionable, the narrative style makes difficult concepts understandable.

The ability of this book to connect the internal and outward worlds is what makes it unique. The writers show how the choices we make, no matter how minor, shape the structure of our lives. They remind us that achieving the pinnacle of personal development is about the transformation that takes place with each intentional step, not the final destination, by using the ladder metaphor on the cover.

The main takeaway from the book, which is that self-improvement is an ongoing and empowering process, is both inspirational and useful. The road of self-discovery and development is aptly encapsulated by the metaphor of ascending a 20-step ladder to attain a personal summit.

The book's gentle honesty is its most remarkable feature. Its strength is that it recognizes that not everyone will find resonance with all 20 keys. It has faith in the reader's ability to recognize, adjust, and take charge of their path. It is a manifesto for people who are prepared to take back control of their life and move towards a future characterized by a profound sense of aliveness rather than by settling.

This book is not just about self-help; it’s a wake-up call to introspection, self-prioritization, and conscious decision-making. Through its unique blend of storytelling and practical advice, Tricci demonstrates the transformative power of small, intentional changes in our daily routines. The central message? Don’t settle for mediocrity; choose to design a life you love.

The 20 keys provided in the book, ranging from gratitude and optimism to balancing long-term goals and being present, act as a ladder to self-improvement. What makes this book stand out is its emphasis on active participation—encouraging readers to create a personalized plan based on their unique values and goals. It’s not a one-size-fits-all formula but a thoughtful framework that inspires you to reflect, act, and grow. Don't Settle, Choose To Feel Good: 20 Keys To Achieve It by Pablo Tricci was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. I took it up expecting it to be another self-help book with the typical advice; but instead, I discovered something far more intimate, practical, and, frankly, transforming. What I enjoyed the most was how grounded and relatable it was. Tricci provides 20 "keys" to living a more conscious and satisfying life, although they are not presented as harsh rules or excessive demands. Instead, they're mild but effective invitations to ponder, realign, and act, on your own terms. The book strongly pushes you to quit operating on autopilot and instead make intentional decisions about how you want to live and feel. Each chapter concludes with insightful ideas and questions, and I found myself slowing down to really engage with them. It allowed me to link the ideas to my personal experiences in a way that seemed very natural-like having a quiet yet in-depth chat with myself. I even restarted journaling, something I hadn't done in months.
The main takeaway for me? That we have more control than we realize, especially on how we feel and what we focus on. The book reminded me that choosing to feel happy is not selfish or unrealistic; it is necessary if we want to live with meaning and purpose. Tricci's writing approach is simple, uplifting, and compassionate. There's no ego, no preaching, just honest advice and a genuine desire to help the reader improve. It was like getting advice from a buddy who sincerely wants to see you succeed.
This is truly one of the most empowering reads I’ve had in a while.

I found this book to be an incredibly inspiring and motivating read. It encourages you to take charge of your life rather than just accepting things as they are. What I loved most was how the book offers 20 practical keys to improving well-being, all of which are simple, clear, and easy to implement in everyday life. It made me reflect deeply on my own habits and routines.
The writing style feels conversational, like you’re getting advice from a wise friend, which made it even more engaging. It really pushed me to think about what’s important and motivated me to shift my mindset. The tips were practical and realistic, not just abstract ideas. I found myself agreeing with so many points and mentally noting what I could start applying in my own life. What I appreciated was the book’s versatility. It doesn’t push a one-size-fits-all solution, but instead allows you to pick the keys that resonate most with your personal goals. This flexibility made it feel more effective, as anyone can take away something valuable, no matter their situation. While a few concepts were repeated, it didn’t take away from the book’s overall impact. It’s perfect for anyone looking to break free from a rut or improve their quality of life.
I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to feel more fulfilled and in control of their journey.

This book truly resonated with me and inspired me to take a more active role in my own well-being. From the start, it felt well-thought-out, offering practical concepts that are easy to apply to daily life. While Tricci touches on familiar ideas like purpose, healthy living, and gratitude, what sets this book apart is the way it ventures into unconventional ideas, making it stand out from typical self-help reads. It had a significant impact on me, encouraging me to reassess how I spend my time and energy. I realized how often I get caught up in routine and forget that I have the power to make choices that can improve my life. This book made me more aware of the small, meaningful things and motivated me to take control of both my mental and physical health. The writing style is pleasant and approachable, making complex ideas feel accessible and easy to incorporate into daily life. What I loved most was the empowering message—that we don’t have to settle for a life that doesn’t bring us joy. It inspires personal growth, resilience, and a commitment to strive for better.

I highly recommend Don’t Settle; Choose to Feel Good to anyone looking to unlock their potential and embrace a more positive outlook. It’s a fantastic tool for becoming the best version of yourself.

Perfect for anyone who is looking to work on themselves. It gave me a fresh perspective on areas of my life I had been neglecting, and it helped me rethink certain behaviors. I especially appreciated how it encouraged me to step back from my "autopilot" routine, where I’d been stuck between work and rest without truly enjoying life. It’s not always easy to shift your perspective, but this book really helped guide me through that process.

The chapters on "Money Management" and "Being Present in the Moment" resonated with me the most, as those are areas I personally want to improve. What I find great about this book is that it will impact different people in different ways, depending on where they are in life. I’m sure that if I reread it in a few years, I’d come away with new insights, which makes it a book worth returning to.

I think the book is a solid guide for shifting your mindset and setting new goals. It doesn’t give you all the answers but rather helps you think through what’s truly important and how to make better use of your time. At just over 200 pages, it’s a straightforward read, but I felt like it could have gone a bit deeper in some areas. Still, it’s a valuable resource for anyone seeking personal growth and change.

More than just a book, it felt like a call to action, a push towards self-reflection and real, proactive change. The 20 keys presented are both practical and powerful and encourage you to reassess your values, embrace gratitude, and pursue a healthier lifestyle. What I appreciated most was how the author stresses the importance of taking an active role in shaping your own life. This approach empowered me to create personalized action plans for self-improvement, making the book not just theoretical but truly applicable to everyday life. The author’s emphasis on conscious decision-making is a powerful reminder that we have the ability to shape our responses to life’s challenges every single day. Tricci’s writing is engaging and easy to follow, making deep concepts accessible and relatable to a wide range of readers.

How to get out of autopilot

I think living consciously is difficult for a lot of people these days… Maybe partly due to social media. I am glad I found this book because it really points out how to make conscious choices to live in harmony with others, instead of just going through the motions of life. The idea of living the last 20 years over again, without being able to make any changes, yet learning more from those 20 years is an incredible idea. I think given this opportunity, the human race would be in such a better place. Like the book says, at the end of the day, it is about choosing to live by our values.

This book was a call to action, a rethinking of life and what occupied the hours of your day. It has pressed me to think about whether I'm spending my time to better myself or just whittling it away fulfilling the wishes and dreams of others, answering to everyone but myself. It was a great read!

"Self-Publishing Review, ★★★★ (https://www.selfpublishingreview.com/...) "Challenging readers to take a more active role in changing their lives, Don't Settle, Choose to Feel Good: 20 Keys to Achieve It by Pablo Tricci is a creative guide for taking control of your free time and unlocking your potential. An allegorical and philosophical journey that treads familiar themes like gratitude, healthy lifestyles, and goal-setting, the book also delves into less common fare, such as the inherent reward of effort, the power of expressed thought, and the pursuit of meaning in our relationships. The book methodically introduces complex ideas and builds to an inspiring thesis: by cultivating awareness and intention in our actions, we can enrich our brief lives, while honoring our deepest needs and desires. This isn't a book laden with self-help jargon, but a highly personal reflection on Tricci's own life and accomplishments, where he conveys genuine insight into overcoming life's pitfalls, which is both introspective and open-minded in its scope."
