Planets and people are never safe from the sharp, insidious claws of the Galactic Realm. The Realm is in possession of an ancient powerful relic known as the Orb, until it is stolen by a band of unlikely heroes- A ex wise-cracking soldier and his girlfriend, along with a scientist, and his robot have made themselves an annoying thorn in the Realm's side. As the great Realm Summit draws closer, two Galactic agents must race to locate the Orb. However, a cat and mouse game ensue, culminating in multiple twists along the way, revealing people's true identities and purposes.
Past and present collide, as each character (good and bad) battles their own flaws while trying to gain victory over their enemy. In the end, good endeavors to conquer evil, but not before a few truths are told. Chapters close while others threaten to peel open, revealing more to this space opera.

Robbie is an award-winning writer who was born in Scotland and moved to the United States at age 22. In 2021, he published a collection of ten short sci-fi stories, Tales from Another Dimension. He followed this with two novels in 2024, The Orb and Across the Universe—Not Really a Beatles Story. He has been writing since 2018 and has published numerous short stories and essays in various outlets. When he’s not writing—or dreaming—Robbie works full time as a quality manager at a manufacturing company in Massachusetts.
