I purchased this collection of short stories at a book signing (I can’t pass up something shiny and the title made me do a double take haha). I like the different stories the author included in this mash-up. This was the first book from this author and it definitely won’t be the last, I ordered from their book store to get more and grabbed some audiobooks during the last big audible sale so I am looking forward to going through their back catalog.
I appreciate the storyline and the steam in these, some I connected more with others. I would give some 5 stars and some 4 but overall I give this spicy novella 4 stars! I hope the author thinks about expanding on some of them, they really hooked me and I did not want their story to end. I liked the various creatures, their different proclivities and their appendages that made for a fun time hahaha. I liked how you got something different from each story, be it a big/small difference, wings, tails, full monster without shifting, and other goodies haha. I also appreciated how the author gave us different dynamics...M/F, MMM, and MMF.
I hope the author does more of these, maybe they each are shiny (for signing exclusives) and they are different colors that eventually could make up a rainbow! I would love those on my shelves 😍😍😍. I will say my favorites were probably This Gentleman’s Girl and Sins and Sirens. Least favorite (still 4 stars from me!) was His Monstrous Tithe. I think that was because we didnt get as much of their story with them together as we got with the others. More substance in the other stories, bolstered the spicy scenes. But again overall a great little collection of smutty goodness and the cover is hilarious (someone saw it and then got up close while I was reading and realized what was on it hahaha). So good!

Some stories were good, although I've noticed that Clio Evans loves to use "little x" as a nickname for her stories, which is cute but also obvious when you read a bunch of her works.
Overall the first short story didn't really interest me because it was just monster fucking and it was a big monster so there wasnt a whole lot of story. Which i guess is the point of these smuts but like it just felt like woman offers herself to beast and then they fuck and leave lol. It's pretty short to the chase, but hey, i get it.
The second story was certainly interesting but maybe it kinda gave me the ick when it was hinted the FMC was Japanese with her wearing a KIMONO and smelling of TSUBAKI (Japanese Camellia) but other than that it wasnt obnoxious although the live demonstration voyeurism thing is not my thing lmao.
I liked the 3rd story more but maybe because it was mermen fucking and it was interesting to read how the author got around the whole....water thing lol.
The fourth was by far the most detailed and exciting, but I did not like the fact that the cyclops had feral foems that apparently ate humans? That confused me, but I guess it is using like Cyclops in the term of Monsters, and they are creatures different than humans, which was an interesting twist, lol
The last story was Clio just being freaky, and I had a hard time visualizing how this Mantis Bug guy looked like, but whatever, I kinda checked out after he laid eggs in her....
It's pretty much a good anthology from Clio Evans, although it certainly was better than the Creature Cafe universe at this point (even though they reference the Bariata in the 2nd story, lol)

This was a collection of short stories featuring various creatures. I was intrigued, and because it was Clio, I figured I couldn't go wrong. I enjoyed them all and enjoyed that there were a couple with creatures I had never read about before.

This was just so great. It’s a collection of just absolutely filthy monster short stories. I mean, what else could you want? I think one of the things I loved about it is that explores some kinks that aren’t often looked at which was really fun. All of them held my attention, and I loved every single one. I really hope Clio does another collection like this because it gave me everything I wanted and more.
