Beckett and Mackenzie have been friends since adolescence. They’ve watched each other date, they’ve seen each other through it all. When a friend mistaken a silly moment between the two to mean they’re engaged, she tells enough people that the rumor gains traction. Before they know it, Beck and Mack are in a situation where they may have to go along with this rumor rather than deny it. Could their relationship move past best friendship, would it be better to not explore in order to preserve it?

This was a very cute, wholesome read. As I was reading through it I thought of all the rom coms I used to watch in the early 2000’s. Beck and Mack have such a sweet relationship. I appreciate that this book didn’t make me suffer painful tropes to get the point across.

This was my first read by this author and definitely won't be my last one. I have really enjoyed reading this story and loved the chemistry between Mackenzie (Mac) and Beckett. It was a best friends to lovers romance and even with their young age, I truly adored the relationship they had with each other. A great read!

Mackenzie & Beckett have been best friends since forever and have been through a lot together. Their friendship has only grown stronger through the years. As life starts to change, an event will change their future as they'll have to maintain a fake engagement. While trying to figure out where to go next, maybe they both start to realise that there's more than friendship between them. As they are navigating their newfounded relationship, life throws them a curveball. Will it all work out in the end?....

Loved it! This was such a fun quick read. I love childhood friends to lovers novels. I have read other novels by this author and enjoyed them. This novel did not disappoint. I love when I find a novel that is sweet and has a small town romance theme. This novel was just fun to read. I loved Beckett and Mac. I loved that their friendship spanned years since they were children. I love the history in their relationship. I loved their chemistry. It was fun watching them both realise that they were each other's person. Loved watching them recognize and accept their love for each other. I loved it. I love a sweet romance that just makes me feel good inside. I can't wait to see what this author has coming next.

Beckett and Mackenzie are childhood friends that are still very close. This is a friends to lovers story. They are so cute!!! Their feelings for each other become more and more obvious and Beckett is just perfect!! I want to thank Lexi for an arc of this book I am so grateful and loved it!! 🫶🫶
