I came to this planet to get lost in books and work... instead, I’m getting lost in him.Moving to a new planet and starting over as a librarian? That’s hard enough. But try teaching alien kids when you're terrible at small talk and even worse at fitting in. The last thing I expected was to meet someone like Telke—the four-armed, heart-stoppingly gorgeous sports coach whose smile could melt my every defense.
But life at this intergalactic school is anything but peaceful. It's chaos—constant, overwhelming chaos. Between the rowdy students and the whirlwind of a busy school year, Telke and I are thrown together more often than not. And every moment is filled with stolen glances, accidental touches, and an undeniable attraction I can't seem to shake.
The problem? We couldn’t be more different. He’s all about sports and action, while I can barely toss a ball straight.
Will I make it through the year in one piece? Or will Telke completely turn my world upside down?
This reads more like a translation or AI book as the English text does not flow properly. The story is fairly superficial and doesn't go deep enough. Telke is the floatball coach who admits he wasn't good enough to be any better than city standard, which he played for a few years and then became the sports coach for a school. Winnie is new to the school and is the librarian who has classes reading stories to pupils then asking questions. She had a bad relationship and is very wary of starting something with Telke. Being human and very shy she questions everything before taking any action, this does become annoying the further the book goes. Ossa her cat seems to have more brains than either of them. Good for a light read.
This is a good, well written, Alien/Human romance. The characters are interesting, developed throughout the story, and lovable. Winnie is a new teacher and librarian when she meets Telke, a coach. During the story you learn her past that has her stumbling with her choices. Telke’s past comes out also. Together things are better. Lots of psychology therapy going on.
A new book from this author and lovely characters that were a joy to read as they came together. Winnie is the new librarian and comes into contact with Telke, who is the alien with 4 arms! Perfect for his line of work, I felt. :D An enjoyable, refreshing sci fi read and as always, enjoying this new author for me. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This alien romance story that's about Telke the school's kot'oll sports teacher and Winnie the school's librarian was an enjoyable read. The characters are likable and engaging, Winnie is shy and introverted and Telke is energetic and outgoing. Telke finds himself drawn toward the new librarian, but Winnie finds herself trying to keep her distance since it supposed to be a temporary job. What occurs as Telke pursues Winnie is an engaging romance story that I'd received a copy and volunteer to read and review.
Gleeful Goblin Review: This is such a darling story of school employees meet-cute but among the stars. I'm a sucker for librarians in general so that was already a point in this story's favor with me. But the addition of having her love interest be basically a PE teacher made it all the cuter for me. Talk about falling in love with someone from a whole other world right? Also....it's pretty great to know what can be done with two extra arms in the heat of the moment. 5/5 Stars
Somehow I couldn't connect. The main writing goes through internal dialogue that didn't match with the actions of the characters. They didn't really get to know each other. And it is like they fell into a physical relationship... the sex itself included descriptions of pain and rough sex that I found disturbing rather than sexy.
Telke is an outgoing sports teacher, Winnie is an introverted librarian here for a temp job. Telke is drawn to her and she's trying to keep her distance knowing that this will come to an end soon. This was a sweet story.
This book does not deserve to have any stars. This wasn't a love story. It is a slow painful sob story that never ends. Your Neuro Diverse goodie for you. Reading the never ending whining became physically painful.
I really couldn’t get past the weird writing. Had potential to be a cute story about a himbo coach with 4 arms and a quiet librarian but the writing style and sentence flow were so off putting and kept taking me out of the story I couldn’t finish.
