Grumpy Silver Fox Boss

Unexpected Connections of Family and Love
When 24-year-old Jennifer Tate, a beauty with long, luscious, curly black hair and emerald-green eyes, returned to Whiskey Hollow, Kentucky, after an absence of almost 8 years for college, special training as a horse trainer and employment as a horse trainer at Levi Johnson’s Rural Tennessee Equestrian Centre, she was disappointed in life. She had left the rural community of Whiskey Hollow not long after her dad’s death for college and had chosen not to return, even of holidays and had not really planned on ever returning to live in Kentucky. Without dad’s strength and humor, Jennifer and her mom had had a difficult time feeling like the family they had been under her dad’s loving influence. And so, the only child had never felt comfortable coming back home, not even visiting mom or Jenn’s best friend Suzy Hunter.
But now, after the end of her dream job when her former employer’s financial challenges necessitated the closing of the horse farm and training center, she has no practical choice but to return home. So, feeling that she is personal failure despite the farm’s failure having nothing to do with her personal skills or abilities as a horse trainer, she comes home.
But, despite her personal disappointments, luck is with Jenn. Her best friend forever, Suzy Hunter, has news of an opening for a horse trainer in their community of Whiskey Hollow. Ironically, Suzy’s older brother, Mat, owner of Hunter Horse Ranch is in need of a horse trainer. He is looking to expand the operations at his horse farm and will need a trainer to work with his new stock. So, the girl who never intended to come home again, is home again. And with luck, she will soon have a new job and an apartment on Hunter Horse Ranch owned and operated by Suzy’s older brother, Matt, a widower and father of young son Beckham.
So, despite never wanting to come home again, Jennifer is home again in Whiskey Hollow and anticipating her new job at the ranch of Matt Hunter, a widower with a 5-year-old son, Beckham, who is the center of Matt’s world. With the support of his family and the assistance of a hired nanny, Matt’s home life is stable although his kitchen is a dairy free zone, an unusual situation, but a necessity to accommodate Beckham’s life-threatening dairy allergies.

This contemporary romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building and characters that are grumpy, captivating, alpha, and realistic. Their journey is enthralling with the grumpy single dad silver fox boss, explicit romance that is consumed by passion, lust, desire, and spice with all the feelings that are so sizzling, readers will be curling their toes, boss romance the is off-limits with best friends brother, forced proximity, forbidden love, small-town romance, deception, his son and ranch are like home to me, action, adventure, drama, heartfelt emotions, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the grumpy silver fox boss and explicit romance that is sure to take readers on an exhilarating roller coaster ride that is wild and unforgettable.

Wow. Just wow.
I hesitate to give such a low rating to any book, that has decent punctuation and grammar, but...
This book was all over the place with cliche plot points/twists, and awkward dialogue. The characters were one dimensional and flat.
And I literally felt nothing - other than irritation with the story.
Oh! And at one point the dead wife's name was Sara, but later it was Jill. And just after firing Grace the nanny, Matt chases after Jenn in his car - with no thought to Beck, whom he left home alone.
No bueno.

Jenn goes to work for her bff's brother when her job goes bankrupt. She and Matt begin having feelings for each other. When there is an accident and Matt and his son are injured, Jenn rushes to the hospital. She has the same blood type as Becks and helps him out. The story was good with the exception of Matt and Jenn leaving the hospital and leaving Becks alone as most parents do not leave their child alone in the hospital, someone always stays with them. Otherwise a good story.

Jenn lost her job so she went back to her childhood village.She stopped for a coffee.At the coffee shop she saved a five year old kid from hurting and took him to his father while he was talking with at his mobile, hE didn’t thanked her instead he was rude.
Her best friend went to catch up some time with her,
and Jenn told her to help her to find her a job,she told her that her brother want someone at the ranch to train people riding horses.
When she went for the interview they were speechless.

Jennifer is back home in Whiskey Hollow after losing her previous job at The Rural Tennessee Equestrian Centre when it went bankrupt. Jennifer is ecstatic when her best friend, Suzy, says she talked to her brother Matt about hiring her as his trainer. This story is full of love, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

I enjoyed reading this book. It's a short but sweet read. The characters are wonderful and the storyline captured my attention from the first page. Highly recommend it. I look forward to reading more from the author.

It's so good, glad I read it. Matt was a coward for breaking up over the phone. Glad, Grace got what she deserved. Look forward to reading more from this author. I did understand the grumpy part of the title. Matt didn’t strike me as cranky. His son, Beck was refreshing being the free spirit. Jennifer was exactly the healing balm the ranch needed.

An exceptionally wonderful book to read to help keep you warm and toasty. Lexi has really outdone herself with writing this book because the characters are amazing, and the story line is out of this world wonderful. I can't wait to read Lexi's next book because she is a great new author to me.
