★★★★★Returning Pride by Jill Sanders (The Pride Series Book 3)

I was given this beta read in exchange for a honest review. This novel is due out 7.1.13.

I just don't know what it is, but I just can't get enough of Iian. He is so damn sexy, passionate, romantic, shy, protective, and great with his hands. *sighs* I can see him in the kitchen, making the most wonderful food, out of the bare minimums. I love that he does not allow being deaf, run his everyday life, but instead embraces his heightened senses.

Allison, was always the girl for him, but are they both too shy, to act on it? So when Ally shows back up, Iian decides she has slipped away too many times, and he's not going to let that happen again. This is easier said than done, with dilemma after dilemma happening.

I love the way the author brings you right into Pride, without killing you with details. I know so much about this town and the people in it. I would love to take a vacation there, and stay at the B&B, eat some lunch prepared by the talented Iian, go sailing with the family, or even just sitting on bluff watching the storms roll in.

I would recommend this book, but I would recommend them in order. I have not gotten a chance to read Discovering Pride, and now know a few things, I would have rather learned from it. I'm looking forward to reading Discovering Pride, and the last one of the series, Lasting Pride.

Thank you to the author for letting me gawk at the adorable Iian some more.

This book was terrible. It’s riddled with typos and grammatical errors like no one proofread it. If you overlook those mistakes the actual writing itself is embarrassingly bad. A lot of the character react weirdly in tense situations like laughing at dialogue that wasn’t funny at all. Speaking of the dialogue, nothing written sounds like something a real human would say.

The few interesting plot points were never explained well or completely forgotten about and it felt like a huge missed opportunity.

Also Alzheimer’s and Dementia are not the same thing, but the author apparently thinks so.

I’m honestly shocked this book has a high rating on Goodreads because it was SO bad.

The author uses the word "realise" way too often and in the wrong context. I just could not get invested in these two and I really struggled to finish the book.

I was eager to experience Lian and Allison road to happiness. It was a pleasant story once the bond was formed. The early part of their relationship felt separated. Lian being deaf was part but the two had things to get straightened out before it was all about them. Out of all the books in this series I’ve read this was my least favorite. It missed the passion the other two had.

Ally came back but it wasn’t to get with the man she’d always wanted and in a couple spots she reflected on past boyfriends in a way that didn’t make Lian seem like the one who got away. She compared him and did give him higher praise but it somehow didn’t feel like Meghan or Lacey. Then there was Lian who was unable to form a sentence around Ally before but suddenly became an expert. I may be reacting to critical but even at stories end it just felt rushed and no mention of her mother was made. Enjoy!

Another great book in the Pride series! 4.5 stars

Returning to Pride is Iian and Allison's story and even though Iian is the last of the Jordan clan to get married its not the last book of the series. I was very excited when I discovered that.

Iian has been infatuated with Allison since her first saw her in elementary school. She was the one girl that he could never talk to because he'd get all tongue tied and sounded like a fool. When she leaves Pride in order to follow her art career he thinks that he's lost his chance. He vows that if she ever comes back he'll get to know her.

Allison has been gone for a few years now and her career has taken off by leaps and bounds. Gong from secretly painting in the back of the antique shop that had been in her family for years to selling art in shows all over the US wasn't something hat she ever saw herself doing. Selling those paintings for well over six figures at times really wasn't something that she would ever have margined. She's grown tired of the all of the hussle of the city though, her creative side has dried up and she hasn't painted anything in a while. She decides that a trip back to Pride is just what she needs but when she reruns and finds her mom is really sick, she knows that she went be leaving anytime soon if ever.

In this book, you finally find out what happened on the boat all those years ago when Iian was eighteen and lost hearing as well as his dad. You also get little glimpses of the other Jordan family to see where their lives have taken them. Like the first two books there is also another crazy person in this book who is after Ally this time. I enjoyed the plot though and the author always seems to make each stalker just different enough so that you don't get bored.i can't wait to read the next book in the series which is about Ric Derby, the owner of the art galleries that sells Ally's art. I've been intrigued by him from the beginning.

Oh My! Grab the smelling salts! Iian and Allison could be the perfect couple! These two have secretly been caring a torch for each other since school, yet shared only one magical kiss. Time, distance, successes and tragedies separated them until Allison, an accomplished artist, came back to Pride and found her mother trapped in the downward spiral of Alzheimers. Iian is now a successful chef and restaurant owner, even though he has a handicap that has driven him into a semi-reclusive state as far as romance goes. When Allison shoulders her new burdens and even starts to settle her roots back at home, taking a part-time job teaching art to young students, Iian sees his chance to win her heart. When her life is threatened, Iian will stop at nothing to protect Alison. But can they find true love with each other?

Returning Pride, the third installment in the Pride Series by gifted author Jill Sanders is an honest to goodness REAL LOVE STORY! The town of Pride and its inhabitants feel warm, welcoming and quaint, all rolled up in one big hug! Ms. Sanders ability to draw you in emotionally without having to reach for the antacids in frustration is refreshing in her creation of characters that, while not perfect, are not so damaged that their angst is totally consuming!

I thought this was a lovely addition to the Pride Series. There is so much passion, love, caring and mystery along with a little thrill in each book. Iian is a wonderful character that I have loved from the first book in this series. He just needed the right girl to change his ways. Once he made up his mind that Allison was the one for him he turned out to be a wonderful gentlemen.

I really enjoy Jill's books she deals with every day issues and brings understanding to her stories with so much feeling. You know when you pick up one of her stories that it will be full of love, family and wonderful characters that you can relate to.

I did think that maybe we would find out more about Iian's hearing loss and maybe he would get it back. If I remember correct there is no reason that they have given why he lost it besides a boating accident that took his fathers life or that it might not come back. I was hoping he would remember more of that day.

The narrator did a wonderful lovely job of narration, I could listen to her voice anytime. She brought so much to the story you almost felt like you were there.

I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to listening to a few more from this author and narrator. If you looking for a story you can relate to, one with feeling and lots of passion with real issues this is the author for you.

I want to thank Ms. Sanders for allowing me to review her very sexy, Returning Pride, third in series novel, due out on July 1st.

You definitely can't go wrong with this exciting series. Jill Sanders is a very talented author, who pulls you in from beginning to end. Ms. Sanders has done a wonderful job character building, and each has their own strengths and weaknesses.

I loved learning about the small town of Pride and all the wonderful characters in Ms. Sanders Returning Pride.

I enjoyed reading Returning Pride, the third installment in the Pride Series. I highly recommend reading them in order though, and now I will go back and read the one's which came before.

I really wanted to give this book 4 stars but I couldn't because I was left hanging on some issues. The good is that I love these characters and their journey. I like the little bit of action that was involved. I like that we still get to see people from past books.
What I feel like I was left hanging on was some Iian stuff. We never get more information about all his migraines and his ghost! I feel like those things should be better addressed if you're going to bring them up. Maybe they'll come back in a future book.

No Place Like Home!!!

Allison was given an opportunity to spread her wings by showing her paintings to the world and she did just that when she went to LA under the guidance of Ric Derby an art gallery owner who mentored her and cared for her like a sister....But despite all the fame Allison knew that she had to go back to the one place where she left her heart....And the one person who has her heart is no other than her crush Ian.....They always say that there's no place like Home....Magnificent book!

I really like Jill's writing style. I just beta'd this book, and I gotta say, when the final is completed, it will be a stellar contemporary romance. Ms. Sanders has a clean writing style, with vivid imagery that isn't too wordy (no paragraph after paragraph of descriptions). Great secondary characters that we know from her other books, even though each book is a stand-alone. Can't wait to start the first in the series, the only one I haven't read yet.

I am enjoying this series. Great characters and stories. One of the things that I really like about these stories is that they deal with difficult subjects such as Alzheimer's and deafness and domestic violence.

Although it struck me with this one that the books need editing...not just spell checking. "Every" should have been "ever;" "sit" should have been "it;" "pairs" should have been "Paris;" "pulled" should have been "pull;"

I LOVE THIS SERIES BK#3, ONE OF THE BOOKS I CAN READ STRAIGHT (no one dare to interrupt me) THROUGH TO THE END. I LOVE THE TIGHT-KNIT TOWN OF PRIDE,OREGON AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO RESIDE THERE(except the bad ones). STORYLINE ENCLUDED SO MANY THINGS AS THE CHARACTERS MOVE ON IN DIFFERENT WAYS IN THEIR LIFE. THE BIRTHS, DEATHS, ILLNESSES, GROWTH OF THE SMALL TOWN, LOVES AND SEX ALL COME TOGETHER TO MAKE THIS ONE GREAT READ.

OMG! I'm so in love with Iian, he's such a gentleman... I could wait to hear his story and Jill Sanders didn't disappoint.. After losing his hearing in a boating accident, that claimed the life of his father... Iain watches as each member of his family, falls in love and moves out... leaving feeling lonely... He's been in love with Allison since he can remember, then she left pride to follow her dream.. Now she's back, taking care of her mother and Iian will do anything to keep her there!!

Iian has loved Allison since grade school. He has left her alone all these years, but he ready to claim her. Allison's art career has taken off and she moved to California to gain some experience, but she is so ready to come home to Pride. When she get home, she is surprised to find her mother is in horrible condition and she needs help. Allison makes an enemy who starts to stalk her. Iian is ready to settle down with Allison, but does she feel the same way?

Enjoyed the story. The story line is almost too simple but loved the characters. Couldn't wait for Ian's story as he was so love able throughout the first two books. One thing for sure: way too many typos and missing words. Seems to be a problem throughout all 3 books in the series that I read. Regardless, I will still read the 4th book as I did enjoy the series so far.

Love the Pride series

I love the Pride series! This one was great! Well worth the read. I just adore this family.

The only negative thing I have to say is that more editing should've been done. A few spelling mistakes. But it didn't cause me to put the book down or distract from the story itself.

I still give this book a 5 star rating!! Those Jordan brothers melt my heart!
