Happily Engaged

I was very happy to find myself quickly engaged in the story. The characters were fleshed out and easy for me to connect with. The settings were easy to envision, the writer is descriptive and eloquent in phrasing and flow. The plot was as it should be in a good romantic suspense story. Very enjoyable read!

Not well written - plot not realistic

The author's use of words is odd. No one who lives in a "mansion" refers to it as a mansion. Nor should an author refer to it as a mansion, once it is established as such - it would be her home or the home. She overuses the word "smirk," often in sentences in close proximity. Unnecessary adjectives are sprinkled around almost every noun or verb, almost as a student would add to fill a word count. The plot is not believable, and falls flat. Is this an AI creation?

I liked this

The Crimson Canvas is a unique twist to the romance genre with its suspenseful side. I’m a huge fan of that, let me tell you! I also loved how Sarah is an artists, and how we saw a bit of the world through an artist eye because of that.

it was good, i think the storyline had potential but the author didn’t carry it out like i wanted them to. i can’t say im a fan of the writing itself which may be why im critiquing the way i am.

p.s. the editor of this book and i need a word cause i could’ve marked up the whole book with grammatical, spelling, and sentence structure mistakes lol

This was an easy read. The plot was good and it held my interest. However the “who did it” reveal seemed to be rushed and the ending was abrupt. I felt like the story was cut short.
