Przepisy od Królewskiej Przystani po Morze Dothraków.

Wysmakowana podróż po Siedmiu Królestwach, 80 przepisów dla tych, którzy pragną ucztować z bohaterami Gry o tron Georga R.R. Martina. Dzięki rękopisowi opisującemu potrawy wysoko urodzonych i prostego ludu przyrządzisz takie specjały jak pieczeń koronną z żeberek dzika, krwiste paszteciki Dothraków, dornijską pastę z pieczonej papryki, pentoskie curry grzybowe, suchary Żelaznych Ludzi, kruche podpłomyki i zimową herbatę z Winterfell. Przepisy są ilustrowane apetycznymi fotografiami i oszałamiającymi drzeworytami. Przenieś się do świata, w którym stoły uginają się od wykwintnych potraw, kielichy są pełne, a zima nadchodzi zawsze.

Chelsea grew up in rural New York, surrounded by cows and an appreciation for small farms. However, her real love affair with food began during a year abroad in Turkey, which sparked a passion for both food and history, as well as leading her to a degree in Classical History. A lifelong artist and fantasy fan, she greatly enjoys foreign languages, treasure hunting, and all things honey. She currently lives in Boston with several other cooks, and even more eaters, including one very happy Manx Cat.

A thoroughly enjoyable read from the viewpoint of a maester. I loved the brief history and introduction of each dish, along with the personal flair so it reads like a story, not just a text book. Most, if not all, of the recipes caught my interest. Highnorn AND lowborn recipes are included, along with recipes for hedge knights. The ingredients required are able to found without too much hassle for most people. A quick search online would yeild results. Most of the ingredients you would find in an already well stocked kitchen. Though depending on where you are, you may have to wait for a certain season, I only ever managed to find goose around Christmas where I live. There is only one recipe for goose, but I bookmarked it for when I can find it. The recipes are all adapted for use in a modern kitchen.
Even if you have little to no interest in cooking, its a wonderful read of you enjoy the world of Game of Thrones, and would love to dip your toes into the vast history.

I’ve made so many recipes from this book and I have to say it’s the best cook book I’ve tried yet. Every recipe has some weird ingredient I wouldn’t have thought of that makes the recipe 100% better. My family is so obsessed with the food they recommend the cookbook to their coworkers.

a great book for a fan of the series - such interesting recipes- I didn't make any and some I am curious to see how they might taste.

Love how it’s written by a maester point of view with a history of each dish. And yes the recipes are modern ingredients.
