When the darkness calls for you, there's no escape

What’s worse than a dark god wanting you?
Maybe you wanting him back?

Set Malvagio—the direct descendant of the Devil, candy to the eye and poison to the soul. The man everyone fears more than death. That’s because death seems like the easy way out when it comes to him. And I learned that the hard way—I’ve become the focus of his obsession.
A series of bad life choices sucked me right into his world and there’s no denying the unavoidable.
He wants me to be his—by body, by blood, and by soul—as he holds the final call over my existence.
He stalked and hunted me, destroying everything I knew—myself included—only to rebuild me back in his own world.
I want to hate him so badly that every second I fall for him hurts like daggers being plunged into my soul, and I’m afraid that if I remain by his side, soon I will no longer have a soul for him to tamper with.
He is a cold-blooded criminal, and I, the new goal of his existence. His newest creation.
With every new challenge, he’s taking me down a road of no return.
And that can only end in ruin.

Set, creator of my darkness, destroyer of my soul.

Be prepared for betrayal, angst, and emotions that will send chills down your spine and waves of heat between your thighs to make you crave the darkness.
Make Me Sin is a stalker mafia dark romance with fantasy elements and CNC, knife play, blood play, dub-con, jealous/possessive antihero, and a lot more TWs listed inside the book

Keep in mind this is book 1 of a duet, which will be part of a whole new universe.

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about Make Me Sin beyond, I like it. It definitely had me enthralled the entire time. You wanna talk about slow burn, enemies-to-lovers? Lord have mercy. The plot was just so good and the chemistry between Set and Serena hit so well.

There was just something about the book that made me knock down a star. I truly can't say what it was that would have made this a perfect 5, it just felt like something was missing. I am looking forward to the sequel for sure though. I need to know how it all turns out.

Riveting

No words. Read in one sitting. They are ying and yang and alike at the same time. They balance each other but Serena wants freedom but she knows it won't work. Can't help but think she wants to test the fullness of the boundaries. Wait for the explosion!

Cliffhanger? Ja. Er jeg sur? Nej.

⭐ Why these stars

What worked:

What didn’t:
Tempoet i starten.

How it made me feel:

Would I read it again?

Read this if:

After a run of disastrous decisions leads her even further into trouble, Serena is now at the mercy of the ever powerful mafia boss Set Malvagio.... who just happens to be the son of the devil.
What does he want? Her by body, by blood, by soul.
But maybe she wants him back?

Set, creator of my darkness, destroyer of my soul.

LORD HAVE MERCY 🤤
To quote the title of the book Set Malvagio Make Me Sin!!!! I cannot put into words the hold of this man.
Slow burn... check
First person.... check
Enemies to lovers... check
Spiiiiiice.... check check check

I loved the dual POV chapters. Getting into both characters heads was perfection. AND THE ENDING?!?!?! I thought I had it sussed out as we got further along, I could not have been more wrong! I genuinely had a book from my never-ending tbr list queued up for the next read but I'm having to ignore it and go straight for number 2! I need to see how Set and Serena's story will end!

Extensive trigger warning menu so you know the drill peeps, give them a read through before delving in!

Happy Reading 🖤📚

Make Me Sin started as a slow burner for me, but once it found its rhythm, I was absolutely hooked. What began as a steady simmer quickly turned into a full-on, heart‑pounding read I couldn’t put down.

The suspense is constant—one of those delicious, creeping tensions that keeps you leaning forward, waiting for the next emotional hit. Serena’s turmoil was one of my favourite parts of the story. Her inner conflict felt raw and real, and watching her navigate that emotional storm pulled me in deeper with every chapter.

And that ending… I was not prepared. Completely shocked, in the best way. It tied the whole journey together with a punch that lingered long after I finished.

is Set a monster or a man obsessed?

Serenas life is a tough one, her boyfriend Nick is a waste of space, the only one she cared about is gone but now there’s a devil of a man that’s obsessed with her! I really enjoyed this first book, left on a cliffhanger that I wasn’t expecting but I’m desperate to see where book 2 takes us. The player has been played and I look forward to their seeing each other again, a matter of when not if. Love Serena, shes fiery and strong when needed, shes the human spirit that can control and calm Set the dark devil until she disappears. The chase is on.

I’m kinda torn on this one. It had its moments, but overall it was honestly pretty hard to get through. It’s a very slow burn—like we’re talking 70% in before the spice finally started spicing. And while I don’t mind a build-up, this one felt like it dragged more than it hooked me.

The FMC… I just couldn’t fully get on board with her. Her whole holier-than-thou attitude got under my skin more than anything, and it made it hard to really connect with the story.

By the time things finally picked up, I was already a little checked out. Even with the cliffhanger at the end, I’m not exactly running for the next book. It wasn’t bad, but it just didn’t hit the way I was hoping it would.

Slow Burn - Check
Enemies to lovers - Check
Spice - Check
Well written - Check

The ending, no, you took a part of my soul. I'm still debating if I should read the second book or not. In some point, I do want to know how the story ends; however, am I able to handle it? I haven't seen any reviews about the 2nd book yet.

Set says he has no patience, but when it comes to Serena, he seems to have a lot of it. Certain times I couldn't understand her thinking, but ok that still makes the story good. But after how the book ended, how can Set ever forgive her?

To DNF at 79% may seem crazy...but I literally just could not read one more word. And trust me, I really tried.

That far in and the MC and the FMC hadn't had sex...in a book that's supposed to be a dark erotic romance???? How?!?

Also, the MC did nothing for me because he was continuously threatening to hurt and kill the FMC - and while he (and the readers) knew he struggled with meaning it, the FMC never did. Call me crazy, but I like my MCs possessive and unhinged for their women, not always threatening to kill their women.

Dark , spicy and impossible to put down

The story pulls you into a dangerous, seductive world of secrets, power and forbidden attraction. The main characters have strong chemistry and their tension keeps you hooked up from the beginning. I love the dark vibe and the way the romance slowly turns intense and emotional. If you enjoy morally gray characters, slow-burn heat and a touch of danger with your love story this book is a must read.

"I fought battles and wars, and I would die for any of my brothers... but I would live for her."

Story with spicy elements. The Egyptian edge is intriguing. I appreciated that Serena is a strong female character - she is stronger than I am! Humorous, sexy, with an uncomplicated yet disarming plot; this book is dark mafia romantasy with charm.

Intoxicating!!!

I love what in my opinion is the slow burn! The description of Set is simply delicious! Ro say the least. The authors attention to detail is mostly what kept me reading. I'm excited to start book two!!!

Although it is a slowburn it definitely keeps you wanting more. When the heat scenes finally arrive, it does not disappoint.

Combine an obsession with a Godlike entity.
Add dark humor, bad decisions and spice to the mix and watch what happens.
This book made me laugh, cry, scream in anger.
Absolutely breathtaking.

It was definitely a very slow burner but once the story took off and it got a bit juicer it was definitely worth a read. Now onto book 2, Make Me A Sinner.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I felt like this book was a lesson in personal edging!!! I loved the story and writing so much that I actually didn’t care, but I really didn’t need the actual spice to only hit in like the last 30 pages! But the payout was good, so I’ll let it slide.

I was originally sold on this book being a standalone so was getting confused on where I was at with the story with so few pages left, but now I see it’s a duet. Guess I must “add to cart” now!
