The consequences of her actions are too much. Legacy was warned what would happen, but she thought she could outsmart it. She was wrong. How can she pick up the pieces of her life when all she now has is a void existence? The life she wanted...gone. Her heart has been ripped out, leaving her soul bared. The prophecy she's been battling from the beginning has finally come true. And everything hurts. She never dreamed facing her legacy would be this devastating.

Legacy has known all along that everything happens for a reason. She's been told that from practically everybody. She must find the strength to reach the stage of acceptance and move on with her life. Gods, why did things have to be this way?

But learning to accept the truth might be easier than she thinks. Her life has been filled with warnings, and one of those is that not everything is as it seems. Maybe there's a reason that warning had come from Adin...

This book definitely picked up the entire series. The first part of the book revolved around Legacy’s grief over Adin. It was very appropriate. I even cried. Normally when a character dies the other characters never show the appropriate amount of sadness. Legacy was devastated. She was freaked out about her dream, and the pieces that came in bit by bit were really interesting. It was really unclear who Legacy’s mom was talking about. From the introduction of Casey in the last book, I thought he was Hades. At least, I was partially correct as Casey is connected to Hades. I was shocked that Seth was Hades, and I am still unclear on if Seth was Hades the whole time or if he only possessed his body at the picnic. Why would Hades send Casey to grab her at the picnic if he was in Seth’s body? Why would Hades choke Casey if Casey was keeping Legacy for him? There are still unanswered question that will most likely be answered in the final book, Goddess Bound. The way it left off it seems that Kate, Legacy, and Seth are dead. Will Legacy not ascend now that she is dead? There are so many questions. Was something really fishy with Adin, or was that really him? What will they do now that Legacy is gone? When I started reading this series, I wasn’t sure how far I would get. The first two books set up the scene for the more important parts in the following books. I think the first couple books were to establish the characters and the whole Greek mythology thing. Also, the first couple books showed the romance between Legacy and Adin. You got to watch them fall in love. Adin is very sweet, but a little too emotional. He seems to be the perfect guy, however perfect guys do not exist. How would Adin get Legacy back? My predictions came true for parts of this book. I figured at a certain point that Callie and River would end up together. I almost hoped Legacy would end up with River because he seems more like a normal guy than Adin. Adin is one of those too good to be true guys. However, there is no way that Legacy would end up with anyone else other than Adin. I have been patiently waiting for Hades to join the party as well. Legacy’s mom really should be more help. Her dream clues were so vague that Legacy was sure they were about River. I thought maybe that was correct when River abducted Callie, and then chained Legacy up. I still do not understand why Legacy didn’t freak out more over the whole abduction scheme. She should have been way pissed about River setting her up to kill Medusa without talking to her first. What would River done if Legacy couldn’t bring herself to kill Medusa? Also, the explanation with why everyone was suddenly okay with Adin being back (they had no memory of his death) seemed weird and farfetched. I think more details should have been given in this area. Legacy did a decent job of being freaked out that Adin was still alive. He never explained how the rose go to their special spot. He was supposed to be ascending during that time. Another big hole in the whole thing was what happened with Adin’s body? Did his mother and Rose know what was going on? Wasn’t he buried? How did they get around that little point? Maybe these questions will all be solved in the 6th book. I hope so. Even if they are not this series has picked up in a big way. I have been very into it! Now I have one more book to go. I know I will be sad when the book is finished. I can always follow other M. W. Muse books if she releases another series. My favorite part of the series was not having to wait a year in between each book! I hate having to do that. M. W. Muse must know that some readers hate waiting! Thank you! Your books are great and I am really glad I bought all 6! They have been fun to read! There is always a good puzzle to contemplate!

It started with a FREE offer with the first in the series. Free is always a good thing right? In this case, yes. I was pleasantly surprised by this author! She shares my love and desire of wanting to get through the entire series of a story without having to wait FOREVER for the next book in the series to come out. And don't even get me started on the authors who don't even FINISH a series but keep going and going and going, you get the picture.

M.W. Muse puts a spin on mythology that I hadn't thought of, it intrigued me and had me immediately downloading the other five in the series - yes, all of them - she made them all available!! I plowed through them all.

Intrigue, mystery, danger, romance (book five and six went a little more into detail with the scenes between the main character and the love interest but it definitely kept me interested!) - all of these rolled into six great books that kept my attention. I was angry with the author, frustrated, elated, and ultimately glad I read them.

Sure I would have liked to see something more with the last one - some story lines didn't seem to wrap up - could there be a spin off series?? Perhaps. This author is definitely talented enough to do that and keep me interested!

I liked this book, I agree with others, that this book really picks up the story. My only problem, is that this book is marked young adult. Which means you have middle schoolers and up reading. The sex scene was very graphic and I worry about a younger teen or even a tween reding this. The detail of the sex scene was not needed...I am excited to read the next book.

OMG this book was insane! If you ever read it and i recommend you do, be preapred for the most emotional roller coaster ever! I loved how the author was able to release the emotions to the readers. I literally felt everyone from the laughs to the cries. Out of the whole series this one would have to be my favorite!

This is the 5th book in the series, and I could not wait to get my hands on it. The final book is coming soon, and I cannot wait! This series is an easy read, and the story line is easy to follow and get into.

Overall a good ending for the book. We finally get to meet her mom and her dad! I would have still liked to hae seen something to do with River and Cali getting together at the end cause Legacy helped with the Orcale issue.
