Grace Meyers is an author of beachy feel-good romances and women's contemporary fiction. She was born in the south, but has traveled a bit since then and now lives in a small coastal town.
I gave this whole series three stars for one reason only. This should have been one book, not six. I read them all in two days, only because I didn’t start reading until late afternoon. I hate an author that breaks a good story into several books, forcing you to buy six books to get to the end of the story. This could have been one book easily. Thankfully I have KindleUnlimited and didn’t have to pay for six books. If I did have to pay, I would have missed out on a very good story, and an enjoyable read.
The author was very melodramatic with very underdeveloped characters. Laying this story out over the course of 6 "books" was melodramatic as well. I do not recommend it. I regret wasting the money on all 6 upfront.
This is my first read by Grace Meyers. I saw the series on my Kindle Unlimited and the title and setting sparked my interest. We will be in this area soon and thought it fun to read a book series related to our travel destination. I thoroughly enjoyed this first installment, from the setting to the characters to the romance brewing and the mystery behind the strange happenings at the bakery. Onto book 2! .
