So good! This story had me hooked from start to finish.
Jefferson and Marcus were once in a relationship, but Marcus wasn’t out—and the secrecy eventually became too much for Jefferson. Tired of hiding, Jefferson made the difficult decision to walk away, leaving Marcus behind and ending a relationship that still clearly meant something to both of them.
But the heart of this story really centers on Bradley. After the death of his beloved grandmother—the only family he had left—Bradley is suddenly faced with overwhelming debt and the looming fear of losing the house they shared. He’s stuck, grieving, and unsure of his next steps.
Then a chance encounter at the store with his old friend Scout changes everything. After reconnecting, Bradley opens up about his situation, and Scout tells him about a potential job opportunity. Bradley takes a leap, applies, and lands the job—which helps him start getting his life back on track.
That’s where Jefferson comes in. Bradley meets him first, and there’s an instant connection. Things feel easy—natural. But then he meets Marcus… and the truth about their past relationship eventually surfaces. Shocked and conflicted, Bradley pulls away and ghosts them both, unsure of what to do with everything he’s learned.
I loved how everything unfolded. The emotions, the tension, the slow revelations—it all came together in a way that felt real and heartfelt. The characters were layered and relatable, and the story had just the right mix of angst, heart, and healing.
Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys MM romance with a touch of drama, found family vibes, and characters who truly grow.
