Ashley Zakrzewski is a Romance Author known for her captivating storytelling, sultry plots, and dynamic protagonists. Hailing from Arkansas, her affinity for the written word began early on, and she has been relentlessly chasing after her dreams ever since.
When she isn't crafting stories, Ashley is either pursuing her business degree, blogging, or being a bookworm. Above all else, she loves spending quality time with her amazing husband and beautiful daughter.
While the overall story was captivating, the ending was a bit abrupt in resolving their status together. Harper and Liam were forming a beautiful relationship until she was attacked and lost some of her memories, including their connection to each other. It was emotional and intense, which had me on the edge of my seat. I hope to find out more about these two throughout the rest of the series.

Thank you BookSprout and Ashley Zakrzewski for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
WHAT I LIKED: I am a sucker for First Responder romances! They are always written as the most giving and protective men, and this series does not disappoint. Both of the charecters have horrible pasts that they are able to share openly and that helps bond them even closer. When she lost her memory though, I thought the whole relationship would be ruined!
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: I have to be honest about her memory loss, I dont think her calm reaction to the situation was the right way to go.. She didn't even remember her parents death and she didnt cry, scream, or flip out at all once she was told they are dead. This news should have hit her just as hard as it did when they were actually killed..
OVERALL / RECOMMENDATION: This is a decent series to read! Only her reaction after waking up and not remembering anything kind of ruined it for me.. But it ended on a happy note and it was left off at a point that leads you to believe that their story isn't over yet. I recommend this book to those who enjoy sweet romances with a bit of drama!.

This is book two in The Rough Edges Series and it is Liam and Harper's story. Liam is a firefighter and a romantic man but he hasn't found his one true love yet but still hopes that one day he will find the woman that he would want to spend his life with. Harper is a chemistry teacher and after her parents died she decided to move to Texas so that she could try and get some normality in her life. When Liam and Harper meet there attraction is instantly and intense and they start seeing each other but then Harper is attached and in a coma but when she wakes up she has lost her memory and doesn't recognise Liam leaving him shattered but he is determined to not give up on her hoping that she will get her memory back and if not will they be able to start a new journey together and get the happy ending that they both deserve. Omg this book took you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and I couldn't put it down and had to keep turning the pages to see what the outcome would be for them. I definitely recommend you read this book as it was so well written and definitely worth reading.
This is the second book in the Rough Edges series. It reads well as a standalone but is connected to book one, Liam is Damon’s (book 1) younger brother. All I can say is wow. I loved Liam and Harper’s story. It’s fast paced, steamy, emotional with a touch of suspense. Harper and Liam have both been disappointed in the love department. When Liam’s ex realized that he only has a slim chance of fathering children she walked out on him. Now he’s leery about finding a woman that will want him because he’s “broken". Harper’s Bern disappointed too and the unsolved murder of her parents still sticks with her to this day. Liam thinks they’re heading in the right direction and wants to tell her his secret but Harper’s attacked and when she wakes up she has no memories of him. Can he get her to fall for him all over again? Will her memories come back? Book three is already queued up on my kindle. Love this series so far.

Firefighter Liam meets Harper, who just moved to town after her parents died, needing to start over. Things are going well until she is attacked, ends up in a coma and when she awakes she has no memory of the parents dying, her move to this state or him. Harper has so much bad luck in her life, but Liam is not about to give up on her and fights to win her again. The characters are terrific, with great backstories, intense feelings and determination. The storyline is a roller coaster of events and outcomes that keep robbing her of a life she wants and needs. Plenty of danger - murder, stalking, attacks, house fires - surprises, nightmares, . The heartwarming attitudes and personalities keep you turning the pages, hoping they will both end up on the good path again. Great ending and now on to the next book in the series.
