I had no idea how beautiful and terrifying my life was about to become.

Living as an independent artist in New York, I was soon faced with the new knowledge of my powers, a curse, and how bonding with five sexy-as-sin supernaturals would break that curse.

One by one they found me—Fae, Warlock, Demon, Wolf shifter, Vampire.
I’m their mate.
Their equal.
Their perfect match.
The one to unbind them from their curse.
Heart, body, and soul, I’m meant to be theirs. Theirs to share. Theirs to love.

From the beginning, they warn me of my fate. The stronger our magic bonds; the greater the chance evil will find us.
These incredible beings will give their lives to protect me, no matter the sacrifice, but I’m not willing to lose any of them.
They’ve stolen my heart and I’ll do whatever it takes to break the curse and stop the one who’s coming for us.

The Cursed Trilogy is a reverse harem paranormal romance series and includes:

Im actually shocked at how many good reviews this has.
I DNF at 30%

It sounded great in the description but it just wasn’t. The writing style was a little choppy at first but usually things like that grow on me and I stop even noticing it once I get into the story.

Not the case here.

She’s kidnapped after a date and gets over it and forgives him (and then sleeps with him) all in the same day. It was beyond rushed, like the author had a word limit they were trying to stay within and because of that they couldn’t fully flesh out the characters or the relationship.
I completely get instalove, especially in PNR...but please explain it before the MCs jump each other’s bones.

The conversation between Griffin and Selene seems so...fake. Like completely unnatural and manufactured to the point that I felt like I was reading a conversation between robots.

I really wanted to like this book. I really really did. I just couldn’t.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

What a wild ride!! I don't normally read paranormal romances, but I've been loving RH's lately so I decided to give this one a chance, and I'm so glad I did!! This book has everything -- all the men desperate for our girls heart and attention, all the feels and steam, and some badass action!! I can't wait for the second book!

I'm not gonna lie, I already have a favorite guy in the harem, (the dirty talking, arrogant Emeric with the gooey heart!!) and I can't wait to see if that changes or not! How soon is the next book out again?!

**full RTC.

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

Good concept, and it may be a good read if you need a really flat style book and you don't want to get pulled in, just humming noise as you do something.

Okay, I am not a writer, and my grammar is so bad I have given up and invented my own style. But the writing style is frustrating. What could be good is just flat. The story and concept are good, and I was torn between stopping or pushing through to the end.
So much potential, if the author was more like... "as I moved to leave the bed, a arm wrapped around my waist pulling against a firm chest" instead we get something like "his arm around my waist, he pulled me back" or something like that...forgettable flat writing style

And the build is less than basic. I have no feel for the characters. The FMC I know she has vivid dreams and art shows. This must be the type of insta hate I read so many harsh comments on, and it's true! I mean, come on, no feeding us feelings, so we feel the deep attraction, no attempt to build really. The flow skips because of this, because I'm suddenly like...wait, did we know about her parents... I can't remember. And wait did he explain some magical anti STD thing, because she's all happy with no protection from the guy she met a few hours ago, who magically dust kidnapped her and she knows slept recently with horn girl...but no it's okay she's on child protection. It was poorly written.

Damn it, this could be so good! Please rewrite this book or dually write it, maybe.

Oh, and the smut. Flat just flat, thanks for telling us what happened with impressive bangs, but no feels...that one is a major disappointment.

After reading some good average but satisfying books lately, I have to drop this...I can tell I will be constantly trying to rewrite the book so I can enjoy it in my minds eye, and that's just exhausting without a good book hangover.

Let me start off by saying that I am not a big fan of paranormal romance. I only read this trope from a couple of authors and now Betty Legend is another author that I will read more of. Book 1 in The Cursed Trilogy and let me say this was a great start to it. I loved Selene and all her hot men. Loved the chemistry between Selene and the guys. Everything about this story was written so good and let me just say the steamy parts will radiate off the pages and make you wish you were there right along with them. I am so ready for book 2. I need to know what happens next and if it is anything like book 1, then I will be in for a ride and I am all for it.

I fell in love with Betty Shrefflers books because of her incredible ability to write a paranormal romance with depth, originality and just the right amount of detailed steminess. Then she wrote several different genres from second chance romance, motorcycle romance with a bit of grit and so much more that has made her my favorite author.
She is the kind of writer you just can't put in a box. Now she has yet again surprised us all by creating a world of sexy wonder as Betty Legend.I am a paranormal fanatic but I also need a book with depth and a plot! Her books have it all.

As all of her women leads in her books Selene is strong, fierce and sexy.
Unbound is a RH that will keep you excited and totally sucked in. Each character has Selene discovering a side of herself that she never knew. And with each male character she discovers a side to herself and sometimes else***no spoilers*** that makes her even better and stronger. Each male lead is totally different from the next. Who will your favorite be?

Full of twists you will never see coming!
Read this series will not be disappointed!

Selene is a struggling artist in New York, and she’s about to have her first art showing. But Selene wishes for more! She’s always wanted to meet some type of supernatural being, that’s probably why she paints them so much, her father told her so many wonderful tales, she believed him, and after he died, Selene wanted to be part of that magical world.

This is the first book by this author that I’ve read.
I love Selene, she’s just a really nice soul. And totally clueless about what’s about to happen to her world.
Griffin (Fae) and a really nice character, I think his role is peacemaker, he’s the one that brings Selene to the island after seeing her in a vision.
Cyrus (Warlock) the one who brought her to the Island using a portal, the voice of reason.
Emeric (demon) just thinks he can bond with Selene, then leave......
A curse ..... A Druid witch cast a spell that turns it into a curse ..... the curse is killing the supernaturals and only Selene can save them!! By bonding with them and sharing magic.
Phoenix (vampire) bit of a dick if you ask me!
Killian (werewolf) not met him yet, but I’m sure we will do soon.

Being kidnapped is not going to help win Selene over, but what else can Griffin do? He knows she the one to break the curse that both he and his friends have, he thought he’d tell her that and it would all be straight forward. But it’s not! She wouldn’t listen, she won’t believe and she’s always trying to escape! He needs to convince her fast, and before she meets the others!
Being told your a Druid witch after you’ve been abducted is just too much for her to take in. She’s looking to ignore the attraction she has for Griffin and looking for a way off this island!
But spending time has Selene and Griffin falling for one another.....
Meeting Selene has Cyrus all confused! He knows he has to wait his turn, but having to watch Griffin and Selene together is proving difficult (especially as Griffin hasn’t told Selene about Cyrus and the others)
Emeric thinks it’s just going to be about sex, no connection, but that’s not how it happens, and I liked watching him fall for his mate. He is just as protective and obsessed as Cyrus and Griffin.
And Phoenix, well he’s just lost his coven! Slaughtered by the Holy Accolades! He’s in no mood to meet and greet Selene!

The Holy Accolades is an order of humans who are out to destroy the supernatural world. Selene is warned that the more they all bond and share her magic, the more danger she will be in, will the Order find her before she can bond with the five eldest sons?

I love my PNR and I’ve been reading a lot of RH, and I have to say this one has a lot of them beat.
It’s fresh, it’s fast paced and it’s written very well.
Love a descriptive story, actions and emotions too, I want to imagine the whole scene unfold in my mind, and with this book that was easy to do.
And it’s got lots of passionate moments (she’s got five guys to please, what did you expect!) it’s got the drama of meeting demons who want her dead, and a vampire that wants to drain her dry!! And we get to watch Selene train with her magic.

And when Selene finally gets the magic she was promised, it totally opens her eyes. Getting her head around the fact she has to bond with five men seems daunting at first, but luckily Griffin, Cyrus and Emeric introduce her to the mate bond, Phoenix is going to be another matter!!

And I’m looking forward to meeting Phoenix and Killian......

I received this free book for an honest review

What a nice new start to this series. It is exciting and well written! I always enjoy a good book that is fast paced. So if you are looking for a good paranormal story to read, found you one.

Selene is such an awesome character, and believe it or not I connected with her. Griffin is what every guy should be, or what she thinks every guy should be. She has to decide what is real and what is not. What is her role to play in this newfound world of hers? But she has Griffin to show her the way.

Like I said, this was such an awesome start to this new series, and I seriously can not wait to see what happens next.

This has a good story to it. A fun concept.
The characters are all unique and interesting, if flawed in their own ways.
The sex is hot if a bit lacking in detail in some parts. Sort of like a partial fade to...well not black, but maybe gray in this case.
The plot is kind of rushed making it feel a big like all the big revelations are just piling on top of each other without Selene getting a chance to fully react to them before she’s forced to deal with a new issue. I foresee a complete emotional breakdown soon if the author ever allows Selene a moment to breathe.
And the writing style. I’m not sure how to describe it. I can’t exactly put my finger on what feels off about it. The closest I can think is that it feels like it was written by someone much older than me that was born in a foreign country but has lived in America for a while..? A bit too formal in places, and weird sentence structure in others.
I’m not exactly sure, but the cliffhanger caught my attention enough to continue to the next book so I guess we’ll see if it gets better from here.

A strong and steamy debut!

Author Betty Legend has taken me back to my teenage PNR reading roots, which I loved, but what she did challenge me with was the Reverse Harem trope. It’s not a favourite at all, but she did make it work for me. I loved the characters and the plot beneath it all had me hooked so much so, that I read it in one hit. I just had to let my thoughts percolate for a day before writing my review.

I loved Selene’s independent character, and that she rode motorcycles was the icing on the cake. As an avid motorcyclist since my teens, this made her easily relatable as did her sassily written POV when she first laid her eyes on her ‘beach stud’. Thrown into a new world, she was understandably sceptical, especially when the first two men she met gave half-truths and showed her that what she’d always dreamt about and put into her art, but had never believed in, was actually true.

The third man, when he showed up, was kind of rough, and definitely rubbed the first two blokes up the wrong way 😈

I have my own preference already, and he’s the motorbike riding bad boy. Ms Legend gave Selene more bonding time with him, and I loved seeing his possessive and protective softer side, although I’d dare to say he’d deny it existed. It’s him who insisted that she was tough enough to know the whole ugly and dangerous truth, and that she be thrown in the deep end. All the better to be ready for trouble when it inevitable arrived, whereas the other two took the softly-softly approach. True evil knew who she was and was coming for her already – and them.

Which of these gorgeous men was right? Because it’s right at the end of the book that the fourth member crashed into her world. An almost dead vampire, newly grieving the loss of his woman.
I have to be honest here about my rating. I love PNR and I love Betty Shreffler’s books, which is why I read her writing as Betty Legend. RH I’m not so keen on and although she has made it work for me here, it still wasn’t my favourite part of the book. Steam, I’m only too happy to be reading, but with RH, obviously it’s ramped on HIGH. So, for me, I felt that the PNR plot element and its movement forward was a little on the slow side. For lovers of RH though, she has done you proud, and I will always recommend her writing far and wide. She’s been my lead into another trope that I swore I would never read, and is now a firm favourite.

I’ll be finishing the trilogy, and I can’t wait to see what Ms Legend has coming up in the next two books. 4 Stars 🖤😈🌟

Betty Legend is the paranormal and fantasy romance penname for popular romance author Betty Shreffler, who is a long-time favorite of mine. I wasn’t sure about the reverse harem paranormal genre, but I knew this author was great so I wanted to give it a try. I am very glad I did because she certainly did not disappoint.
Selene, the female character, is an artist who paints fantasy art brought to her through her dreams. A chance encounter with a gorgeous stranger leads her to a world of magic and intrigue where her dreams become reality and to the realization that she must bond with five amazing supernatural beings in order to break an age-old curse that endangers the existence of magic.
Selene is a strong, independent woman and I love the depth of her character. Each of the supernatural men have unique personalities and powers, so it is no surprise that they have difficulty with the idea of sharing Selene. After meeting Emeric and Griffin and the introduction of Phoenix, I am really looking forward to Book 2 to see how the series continues to build. Will they all bond and defeat the ultimate evil trying to destroy them? Will Selene be able to handle being the center point of peace among five very different strong male figures? Will Books 2 and 3 have the same white hot passion that Book 1 is already bringing to the table? I personally cannot wait to find out. A definite must-read.

Hot, wild, and exciting; this book is everything I love. It's fast-paced, well-written, has great world building, and the best written characters I have come across in a while. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who likes a good paranormal romance story.
Selene is a painter. She dreams about paranormal creatures and places that don't exist in our world. It's her hope that some day she will find a proof that the paranormal exists. Yet, it hasn't happened. Until she meets Griffin. He is amazing; everything she loved in a guy. But things get a little out of hand. She is having trouble separating dreams from reality and the more she learns about who she truly is, the more confused she gets. Soon she will learn about her destiny and everything she must do to save the hidden world that exists with ours. She will need to be strong, brave, and learn all she can about magic and her powers. Good thing is Griffin and others are more than happy to teach her.
I can't wait to read book two. It's such a great read, and I especially loved the descriptions and the places. They paint such a beautiful picture of a paranormal world that you will want to go there and stay. The emotional side of the story is amazing too. I loved to see how each character grow as they bond and fall in love. It's beautifully written romance story and the one I can't have enough of.

I love PNR
I love RH
I freaking LOVE Betty Shreffler's writing
Needless to say when I saw that Betty was writing as Betty Legend AND it was PNR RH I knew I had to have this book. I also did a happy dance while squealing, but that's probably not very relevant to whoever has to read the nonsense that is, well, TBH, any review I write.
Unbound is one of those reads that has you hooked the second you open it. Selene is just one of those characters that is immediately likeable. With a personality that makes her completely relatable even in a story that is entirely fantastical. Quickly the action, mystery, and heat all begin to ramp up as we start to meet the men that will steal her heart.
Each one of these guys that we meet in this first book has something uniquely special to fall in love with. From the sweet and gentle to the broody and dangerous, there is a man for any taste in this harem already and there's more to come from this trilogy.
I'll just be over here dying while I wait with no patience whatsoever for the next book!

Selene's life is turned upside down when she discovers a world that only existed in her dreams. Destined to be bonded with five supernaturals to break a curse, Selene must figure out her newfound powers and believe in the magic that surrounds her before the evil finds them all. While on her journey to self-discovery, she meets three out of the five supernaturals destined to be hers. Each are unique with their own set of special powers and Selene can't help but be attracted to them. The book ends when she meets her fourth destined partner, and it does not go well. Not only is she terrified of him, but he almost kills her. Knowing Selene needs to form a bond with him, it is decided that the other three will bring in the fifth member now.

I typically do not read PNR/RH but this author's writing makes it a very enjoyable read. It was easy to follow and understand and it is intriguing to discover so many different fantasy worlds. I was very invested in the story and can't wait for book 2!

This is the first book in the Cursed Trilogy and it’s fantastic!! I don’t always love paranormal romances, but Betty’s writing style just sucks me in every time. Selene finds out she’s a witch and has to bond with five supernatural guys for all of them to gain their full powers and save the world. Even though they’re fated to be together, each man has a different reaction to Selene, which keeps things interesting. And unlike many other “mate” stories, the insta-lust is not all consuming. It builds from attraction like it would in real life. The men are super sexy, the powers she attains as she learns are fantastic and exciting, and of course there is a strong female lead that Betty is known for. This is such an amazing first book in the trilogy and I am so excited to see what happens next!

I gave this book a chance because I'm a fan of the author in her other pen name. Normally this is not a trope I like that much but this series I'm loving so far. I like a possesive hero that takes care of his woman and that's why I don't care much for RH. But this one is interesting because all of these creatures are possesive and yet they are forced to make it work. That makes it more fun. The paranormal side of the story and the details are very vivid and easy to visualize. I like the fast pace and will be reading the next because I am eager to see how this is going to play out. The reveal of Pheonix adds a promise of a challenge and there's one more that hasn't been introduced which makes me curious as to what his personality will be like.

Unbound by Betty Legend is the first book in this trilogy and the introduction to the characters, the storyline and the great writing.
Selene is an artist who has weird dreams for a long time. And when a stranger shows up and she wakes up somewhere else, she gets intoduced so something so spectacular and incredible, a whole new world of magic and pnr, fae. And Selene is the only one who can save this world.
A spellbinding story, excellent, unputdownble, wants to read the next installment asap who had me in suspense from start till the end through all the plottwists and unexpected twists and turns. A great read, 4,5 stars.

Unbound is the first book in The Cursed trilogy by author Betty Legend.

Selene is a New York independent artist. A perfect stranger she meet one day, will show her a world she could only dream about. Griffin is a fae. He will tell Selene that she a druid witch and that she needs to break a curse and to do that she will need to bound with five different paranormals, Fae, Warlock, Demon, Wolf shifter and a Vampire. She's their perfect match and the only one who can break this curse. But the stronger her magic will takes and the bound she will have with the guys, the more the chance that evil will find her.

I have really love the first book in this new series and can't wait to read the next one. I have received an arc of this book from the author.

From the first page of this book I was hooked! The story is painted so vividly that I can see the people, places and events in my minds eye. What a hot, sexy, magical story it is!

Selene is a lucky girl to discover that, not only is she magical but she is the saviour of all magic. She gets to bond with five gorgeous creatures.

The plot is fast paced and has plenty of heat and drama as well as lots of intrigue to keep those pages turning.
So far I think Griffin is my favourite out of him, Cyrus, Emeric and Phoenix but I’ve yet to make up my mind.

Betty Shreffler is definitely one of my favourite authors and has kind of made me like paranormal/fantasy stories very easy to read.

Betty Legend is a new to me author and I’m so glad I decided to read this book, because it’s phenomenal. It’s light hearted, steamy and a definite must read! Unbound is the first book in the Cursed Trilogy.

Selene is an artist and she paints what she dreams. They are vivid paintings of magic and the supernatural. She meets a gorgeous man, who turns out to be more than he seems. Finding out that you’re a supernatural is unbelievable, but finding out you have to bond with 5 men in order to save the world is crazy. With the evidence in her face Selene is forced to believe and her life gets turned upside down.

I loved Selene, she’s sassy and can hold her own. The men that we’ve met so far, are deliciously hot and each one brings something different to the table. I can’t wait for book 2, to see what happens next and to find out more about the last two men who will be in Selene’s life.

I loved book 1 in this new trilogy! Betty is a master at visual mastery with her writing and story telling. Descriptions are so vivid and the reader literally feels like they are part of the story. Selene is a complex character but very likeable. She has her life change suddenly and finds out her powers will break the curse if she can find her 5 mates. This is to be a harem of 5 men who will help her break the curse and take care of her in different ways. I can't wait for book two and meet the other males on this journey. In typical Betty fashion this is smoking hot and all the details lead us on an adventure that is set to be fantastic. Bring on book two!!

Oh My! Unbound is the first book in a brand new trilogy called The Cursed Trilogy. Selene is an artist, she paints what she dreams. Selene thinks that she is just a normal human. But oh my her world is about to get blown apart. She has to bond with five supernatural guys. I love three of the guys so far, not sure about Phoenix yet. Can't wait for the next book to finally be able to met Killian. This is a cliffhanger. This story has the right amount of the emotion, drama, action, and danger. You won't be disappointed in reading this story. Keep up the amazing work! If you love reading about reverse harem then you MUST read this one.

Holy smokes this was such a great read. I was absolutely enthralled with this story and couldn't put it down. I need the next book now!!!!Selene is such a fierce, independent woman but she's not afraid to start this new life. These supernatural men are fantastic. Yes, I do have a favorite so far, but they are all great in their own way. I am so jealous!!! This story was action packed from page one until the end. Betty Legend knows how to keep her readers entranced and begging for more. I cannot wait for the next part of the trilogy.

This was an amazing first book in a new genre from this author, and I loved it! Selene is a struggling artist who has always had strange dreams, but never did she imagine that there was truth to them! When she discovers that she has powers and is the key to the end of a curse, things just start getting interesting. Add in five smoking hot paranormal men who are all drawn to Selene, and you have a sexy RH romance that really grabs your attention! I loved each of the men, but Emeric and naughty Cyrus really caught me up! And that ending! Omg, I just know that I need to have book 2 now!

Wow. Just Wow. This book is a knock your socks off kind of ride.
Selene's life isn't how she imagined or wanted. She wants magic. And she learns a lesson of, watch what you ask for, you might get it.
She suddenly finds herself in a word of demons, druids, vampires, werewolves and more. So what's a girl to do? Well enjoy the sexy men, have an incredible adventure, and of course learn about a curse you have to break.
I'm so very hooked on this series. I can't wait for more. This is the best read I've had in a while.

I’ve never been a huge fan of paranormal, so reading this really made me step out of my comfort zone but I’m so glad I did!

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book in one day but I really couldn’t put this down!

I thought it flowed brilliantly considering it’s from multiple points of view. The chemistry between all of the characters is on fire! And the storyline was so well written and clear I cannot wait to see what happens in the 2nd book.

Unbound is first book in The Course Trilogy.
Selene is an artist, her inspiration comes from dreams she has at night.
She never thought, that dreams became reality.
She learns that there are supernaturals around us, and to save the world, she has to bond with five of them.
I enjoyed this story a lot, storyline is amazing.
Can't wait for books two and three to meet other characters, and see how everything will play for Selene.
