It only took one man to shatter her heart. It will take two to put it back together.
When the 'happiest' day of her life ends in humiliating betrayal, Amy turns to the one man she can still trust. Inside the club, Zach is her best friend and platonic top... and longtime crush, if she's being completely honest, though she would never act on those feelings.
Especially not now that Zach and his ex-boyfriend, Kincaid, just got back together.
Homeless and heartbroken, Amy is starting her life over by moving into the men's guest room. As she begins to heal, her imagination starts running wild with inappropriate thoughts about her handsome hosts. She can't escape the fantasies of joining Zach and Kincaid in bed, relishing the feel of being under them, and the ecstasy of being between them.
But Amy's double daydreams would never come true. After all, no one's happily-ever-after ever included a third wheel... especially one as broken as her.

Golden Angel is a USA Today best-selling author of heart and bottom warming romance.
She is happily married, old enough to know better but still too young to care, and a big fan of happily-ever-afters, strong heroes and heroines, and sizzling chemistry.
When not in front of her computer writing, she can be found sewing her next project, hanging out with friends, or wandering the grounds of the Maryland Renaissance Festival.
My initial reactions were pretty funny: OMFG, she did not do that! 🤯 That cuntcake is the absolute worst! 🤬 Well, at least I know that Amy will get the HEA she deserves because Jeremy did not deserve her AT ALL. If you have read any of this series or the Stronghold Doms Series, you won't be surprised about who I am referring to, but I still wasn't prepared for all of the assholish things she did. I usually hope all secondary and tertiary characters get their HEA, but this one can suck it.
What a way to end the series! I LOVED every moment, even when I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room. Golden Angel outdid herself by wrapping up not only the Masters of Marquis Series but also the Stronghold Doms Series. Because of the way the two series crossed over, we saw everyone from both series when they rallied around Amy when she needed it. While I am sad to see this series end, I am excited to see where the new Black Fox Security Doms series will take us. Black Fox Security is the Company Kincaid works for.
Who was the Third Wheel in Amy,Zach and Kincaid’s story, really? Because they all had their moments of feeling left out….. This was the last story of Masters of Marquis, and it was a story i’d been looking forward to,even if it meant the series was finished. What i got was exactly what i was hoping for, with a bonus. Zach and Kincaid were back together, but they needed something more,something…... Amy may have fallen into their laps for the wrong reasons, but she turned out to be the missing link they were looking for.
Amy was left at the altar by her groom,Jeremy and one of her bridesmaids. And if i didn’t already hate Noelle,i would do so now,i can tell you that! Zach and Kincaid were the ones to pick up the pieces, with the support of everyone else. They gave her a place to stay while she tried to mend her broken heart. More than that, they made her realize she’d escaped a miserable life, one scene at a time.
Kincaid joined those scenes,at first because he knew how much Zach cared about her. Later on,because after getting to know her better, he cared a lot about her too…..making him wonder if there was a chance for something more. But Zach still needed to tell his parents he was in a relationship with Kincaid. And Kincaid was starting to doubt he ever would….. Zach was planning to tell his parents about Kincaid, but later. And with Amy in the mix, seeing how well she and Kincaid got along,he started to hope for something more. But the longer he waited coming out to his parents, the more he started to fear losing everyone.
Amy may have been grateful for their support, but the feelings she started to have were confusing. They were a couple, and she’d just been left by the man she loved…..right? So,why was she secretly hoping for more with them?? Zach was her service top,the one that helped her feel better, nothing more….right? And Kincaid was the Dom that filled in the gaps, nothing else…..right?
In the meantime,Amy’s ex didn’t stay away, nor did Noelle… Doing their best to disrupt her road to something beautiful. And Zach’s mother had a habit of wanting to help him find a girl… Not to mention their circle of friends that did their best to stay on top of everything that was going on,but that was with the best of intentions and fun to watch.
Would our threesome find their way in the chaos surrounding them? Would they have the happy after they all deserved? Or were they going to have to survive without their better thirds??
This was such a beautiful wrap up of a wonderful series! It left me in a happy puddle, and satisfied with where everyone was…..friends ánd foes! Having the whole gang there, seeing everyone rally around the throuple, giving them back up in every way they could, was great. Plus,it gave me a glimpse into where Cassidy was going….making me curious about her story. Luckily,Danger and Dominance is coming in june!
I have been waiting for that story for years. I wanted an HEA for Zach and Kincaid since I read their novella in Steamy Stocking Stuffers. So, the expectation was high, and God the story is just perfect. I loved how Zach, Kincaid and Amy each felt like they were the third wheel at times, how they had to work for the relationship to work. I laughed a lot at Zach's mum antics. And the spicy part was perfection. It's the end of an era, I spent so much time with Stronghold and Marquis characters that it's hard to move on but I have faith that I'll like the next series just as much.
OH MY!!! I absolutely devoured this book!!! This is a fantastic look into the world of BDSM!! The author knows what she's writing about.....I'm part of this community and I have to say this is spot on!!! Although this is book 9 in the Masters of Marquis series I never felt like I was missing anything because the other characters were written so I got the back story but I will now definitely go and read the first 8 books.
Zach and Kincaid are in a relationship both Dom's but Zach does bottom. They are friends with Amy who gets cruelly dumped and jilted at the altar by her douche of a fiancé who just so happens to run off on her wedding day with one of her bridesmaids. When Zach and Kincaid offer to help her out by letting her stay with them at their place till she gets herself together she says yes!!! Zach and Amy have had scenes together at the BDSM clubs they go to and Zach has always had feelings for Amy but he's always been with Kincaid and Amy was with her ex so nothing ever went further than just scenes at the club ( they never had sex )
After Amy wants to move on and have sex at one of the clubs with a Dom......yes you guessed Zach and Kincaid want her for themselves!!!! Oh my!!! When these three finally get together well well well......I can't even put words together with how good these sex scenes are!!! MFM scenes are lush!!! One of my favourites!! Amy is one very lucky woman to not only have one Dom but two to take care of her. I absolutely loved that all the subs from the clubs were so supportive of Amy because that's what the scene is like I am a submissive myself and I know I got other subs backs as they have mine too. This is my first book by this author and like I said before I'll definitely be reading the others in this series.
Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.
I read this book in one sitting and I loved every second of it. The chemistry and passion between all of them was undeniable and sizzling. Amy was made for Zach and Kincaid.
Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for a MMF, second chance, roommates to lovers, forced proximity romance then you’re going to love it.
Sultry steam, intense emotions and raw feelings fuel this tantalizing romance that had me falling so hard for Amy, Kincaid and Zack and my heart just broke for what Amy was being put through.
A bitter-sweet way to end the Masters of Marquis series. But what a way to go out! Zack and Kincaid were a couple who had quite the relationship. But when Amy entered into their life, they realized that having a third was just the tip of their iceberg. Their story shows a deepening of emotion, the range of heart expanded to include not just a duo but a true throuple arrangement.
This was a good poly read. Amy, Zach and Kincaid are quite the throuple. I liked the way their relationships evolved throughout the story. There is plenty of steam but also emotion. I liked the plot and I loved the characters. Overall this was a really good book.
Wow. Wow. Wow. I love this book. This story has been baking all series, and we finally have the sparklers and sprinkles to top it off. This is the final book of the Masters of Marquis series. And it has been a joy to read. It starts on Amy's wedding day. And of course it does not go to plan. But what a way to go. The surprises and twists are well crafted and don't hold back. Jeremy shows his true colours, and Noelle finally gets her comeuppance. Zack and Kincaid come to the rescue. Showing her what her life should have been like. The whole of Marquis shows her love and support. I love the way this book made me feel as I read it. Happy, emotional, furious at times, and relieved and satisfied when it all works out. I love these characters, and this story did not disappoint. Beautiful written and crafted to show all the detail and emotion it deserves. A true pleasure to read. I can't wait for the next series, teasers included. I highly recommend this book, series, and author. Could be read on its own, but I do recommend you start at book one, so all the juicy details make the most sense. Enjoy. I definitely did 😺💖
I just finished read the end of your series for "Masters of Marquis" series. While I felt the same as Zach and Kincaid when A my was left standing in her wedding dress left without a wedding and learning that the groom had eloped with one of her bridesmaids: OUTRAGE!! Mean old Noelle anyway!!! ( I was relieved she got her comeuppance eventually! ) But the story pulled me in as Zach and Kincaid took care if Amy starting in the room where she waited for her wedding. I loved the progression of their relationship and the acceptance by all parties. It made the finally of the series come to a wonderful conclusion. I love Golden Angel books as she brings so much humanity into her characters. We all go through ups and downs but it is how we handle them that makes character in people. She realizes this and develops the people in her books and makes them believable. It makes it easy to connect and want to know these people as friends and see how their lives progress. And that is where the sad part comes as this is the end of another great series Golden Angel has written. You mourn the loss of staying connected Ted to these people. It is like you are losing friends that you have made along the way. I look forward to her new series beginning with Cassidy and David's story. And any other series she has in her sights. I will never tire of Golden Angel's storytelling. It has filled some lonely moments in my life with nothing but joy!
Pure fun, hot spice and thrice the love! I have been with Marquis for the entire series and watched Amy’s disaster of a relationship with Jeremy, watched the ups and downs of Zach & Kincaid. I definitely didn’t see it coming the entire way, but once the idea settled it made sense. Now seeing them all together, it truly is all pieces of the puzzle fitting together to complete the perfect picture. The perfect blend of personalities to fill the cracks. I love the dichotomy of sweetheart doms, such seeming opposites in and out of the bedroom. After putting up with all of Jeremy’s crap, Amy deserves to be pampered and cared for more than anyone. And everyone knows you need two cookies to make an Oreo. I loved seeing more of Amy’s sass come out as her confidence grew. Their story truly had it all. I laughed, got hot and teared up at the more tender moments. A fitting conclusion to Masters of Marquis, literally having the whole band back together by the end. The full subbie contingent coming together to support Amy and the treat of the Dom army in the bonus scene. A perfect end.
Writing was professional-level, storytelling was tight and the story itself was organic, captivating and hit every note elegantly.
Lead characters were interesting and enjoyable, their characterizations' strong and individual and character exploration was on-page and compelling.
Relationship-building was honorable and charming, featured kink (threesome) was beautifully depicted and smut was more than just steamy and delicious; it further fleshed-out the characters, their passions and their developing relationship.
Can't think of anything that could have made it better and the epilogue was a delightful cherry on top.
Although we know this is the end of our time at Stronghold and Marquis, it's a bittersweet ending as we finally get answers to will they won't they for Zach, Kincaid and Amy. Golden Angel has once again knocked it out of the park with Third Wheel and left me on a rollercoaster of emotions as we experience the highs and lows of being in a potential triad. It was seriously HAWT and NSFW at all but it's page turning steaminess and emotional storyline keeps you reading well into the night. A great way to end what has been a fantastic couple of series and though I'm so sad to see the Stronghold and Marquis family end, I hope we may see more in the near future with the new Golden Angel series.
This wasn't a surprise to anyone familiar with this series.Zach and Kincaid needed Amy to complete them, even though none of them realized that at first.Noelle was massively unlikable in all the books she was written into and it was satisfying to see her get the ending she deserved. Series are never really over.I just reread them when I want to experience all the characters again.Between Stronghold and Marquis, there are many.Excellent book to complete an excellent series.
I have wondered about Zach and Kincaid throughout much of this series and was thrilled by their story. And Amy’s addition was just the trick. Bring a trio together, especially when there is already a couple is hard to do without jealousy and hard feelings, but this tale made it feel just right. I have loved this humongous found family and will miss new stories, but will definitely revisit many of these books again.
I've been waiting for this story for what feels like forever. And it's great. The twist? OMFG! And the scenes, 🥵. And I'm also super sad marquis is over. But I loved that we saw stronghold and marquis favourites popping up. I liked the throuple, I'm not 100% convinced how they fell in love but I'd still like to be the jam in that sandwich.
But if you've not read any, start at the beginning of Stronghold, you will not regret it! Such a journey. Can't wait for what comes next.
The third wheel was not right here. They are very opinionated flawed and loving. So to have a relationship to last they needed to connect but have their own space and be individuals. Triangle is a better way to describe their relationship points and connections.
I absolutely loved this book! I needed Third Wheel in my life. Golden Angel never disappoints me with her books and she definitely knocked it out the park with this one. The characters dynamics fit together like they were made for each other. I 100% hate Jeremy, he was definitely unworthy!
I have read Golden Angel books for years. But,this by far is my favorite series, laughter, tears, anger, and oh so HOT! All the characters are relatable in some way. I will reread this series on the future! Thank you Golden Angel!!!
There's some major 🌶 here that made this a fun read. There's also a bunch of weird draaamaa that seems unnecessary about coming out to family. It's the 21st century, and unless your family is deeply religious in a truly fundamental way, it doesn't seem that an adult in their 30s would have too much trouble sharing with the fam. I realize I'm assuming, and maybe it's ignorance on my part. But the angst around that just didn't add up for me.
Kincaid is a character who has been a thread through all the books, and I really looked forward to learning more about him. Yes, there is more to learn of him, but he also seemed sadly wilted, not nearly as charismatic and alpha as he appeared in other books. That was a disappointment. Zach just came off as a rather subservient guy who feared his family without much need. Although these two had recently reunited (guess I missed the break somewhere), he was very willing to stay in the closet and damage his relationship.
The FMC was a sweetheart, but really didnt have much of a personality here.
And of course, there's Noelle. I have never understood the author's obsession with this YA mean girl character who no one trusts or likes but still tolerates for...reasons. In this book, she does some out-and-out evilness to the shock of other characters. I actually stopped reading GA for this reason. Maybe she's just supposed to be the angsty drama, but i think she's a lazy device that keeps the stories from being something better, with atronger storylines and characters. So, while this book was some spicy goodness, it also featured this awful character, which turned me off significantly.
Oh, and I just found out that Noelle has been written into the new Golden Angel series. Wish I'd known that before I picked that book up. As much as I've enjoyed GA over the years, I won't be reading anything else of the new series.
So this book was a last hurrah, and a fairly entertaining one in a number of aspects.
A heart breaking jilted cruelly at the alter and photographs used to lie by to her partner Amy is jilted at the alter with all of her friends and family and people from the BDSM Club Marquis and Club Stronghold which is a where the photographs had been secretly taken and then had been used against her, this had been against club rules and had damaged trust and the professionality of the club which had not gone down well at all. Kincaid and Zack have invited Amy to t with them why she gets herself back together, she is away from work for the week as she was supposed to be on her honeymoon but used this time to return gifts and email family and friends that were concerned for her. It seems that her ex and her ex best friend who had actually married her groom are not going to let her alone and the emotional turmoil they are putting her through iss simply awful and her two male companions have been what get her through this terrible ordeal Kincaid and Zach have been her safety blanket and she loves the both. I loved this book and have to say that I was totally captivated by this simply wonderful read and am sure that other readers will be as engaged in this story as I was and hope that her two enemies will get exactly what they deserve. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing
After weeks and months of planning, Amy and Jeremy have finally arrived at their wedding day.
However, her world explodes when Amy learns her groom is missing, with a cruel twist, she receives a call that he is with Noelle to twist the knife even further.
In her darkest moment, while her family and friends offer support Zach and his partner Kincaid are whom she chooses to move into their home. While the boys are in a relationship Amy has scened with Zach at the club with the full knowledge of their partners.
Giving her a place to feel safe and put herself back together, Zach and Amy scene together with Kincaid joining them. Amy finds herself desiring both men but she is just out of one relationship is this right to want more? Each of them has their own thing going on, Amy has Jeremy and Noelle who reappear to cause more trouble, Zach has yet to tell his parents where his heart lies and Kincaid is questioning if he ever will.
The author pulled out all the stops with the final book in the Masters of Marquis series and while I have enjoyed many hours in the crossover world of Marquis and Stronghold, expect to see some of the characters make an appearance in her new series Black Fox Security Doms.
Was gifted a copy of this book and would recommend this book.
This is a great way to end the Masters of Marquis series. I look forward to the new series set in Pittsburgh starting mid-year.
The book plot really starts with a bang, with Amy getting ditched at the altar, with her groom running off with a bridesmaid. And calling her from Vegas as she is wondering where he is. Yeah, classy...
This book was fairly predictable from the Zach and Kincaid story earlier in the series and the descriptions of Amy platonically sceneing with Zach in the club (but not getting aftercare because that would not be platonic).
The development of the relationship is quite well and lovingly told. Each of the three were sometimes the "third wheel", until they (yeah, finally) decided to stop thinking like that.
Excellent plot and character development. Holy hell, hot sex and kink. Clearly Golden Angel decided to go all out for this book -- really GREAT sex and kink.
Noelle went out with a bang. Wow -- one difficult character who is not getting a redemption arc, at all.
I absolutely love Golden Angel's books! Once I started reading I didn’t want to put it down. I was invested from the beginning. I'm not certain why I didn't see this story coming from the previous book. I will say it made me giddy happy! I love those three characters together. My heart raced throughout the book, for different reasons. You can read this as a standalone, and you will definitely want to go back to the the beginning of this series to get all the romance! I'd give more than five stars for this read if I was able!!! I'm sorry to see the series come to an end and will miss all the characters that have become family. But I'm looking forward to the next series! I'm already grinning ear to ear, excited to see how Cassidy's story will all unfold, and meeting new characters to become invested in.
Super steamy, heartfelt and oh so satisfying! The fun with the Masters of Marquis just keeps getting hotter and I'm loving every minute of each and every one of them. The set up for the emotional turmoil in this book is front and center as it kicks off and I was immediately hooked on Amy's plight. Once Zach and Kincaid came into the picture and I got to know them, I was adoring them all separately and all together. Great build up and follow through and the characters were well developed with each having a support system and interesting back story. I loved their story so hard!
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys reading about and diving heart first into the BDSM lifestyle and meeting this tight knit group of friends who always support each other and love hard while doing it. *NOTE* Must be okay with BDSM and bisexual MMF to enjoy this book.
