Super interesting book that takes you through the history of reading in Japan to be able to explain to the readers the thesis of this book: why people who work don't read.
I loved the author's take and final conclusion/advice. I recommend it to anyone interested in Japanese society and literature.
Two quotes I really liked: 「
Soft DNF; may come back to eventually. I read the first two chapters and found them to be a bit boring. Not sure if the rest of the book would introduce new-to-me information, but I'd rather go read something else for now.
