Daniel DuPont was supposed to have been a one-night stand. A man I could remember fondly as giving me the best night of my life. Not turn into someone who has infiltrated every facet of it. I can’t seem to escape him; those turquoise eyes, filthy mouth, dimples, and French accent demanding more than one night. I can’t. He’s now my client. I won’t break the rules, mixing business and pleasure. Except he sure is making it hard to stay a good girl.
"JA Low lives on a faraway beach in Australia. When she's not writing steamy scenes and admiring hot surfers, she's tending to her husband and two sons, and dreaming up the next epic romance."
What happens when your one night stand turns out to be someone you now have to work with? JA Low gets me every single time with all of the chemistry and banter between her characters and Daniel and Rosie have all of that and more. When they go from never expecting to see the other, to not wanting to cross any lines, to never seeming to get enough of one another. SO GOOD.
After being encouraged to have a one night stand by her friends, Rosie never expected to see him again let alone have to work with him. This would have to be one of my favourite books by this author. Daniel and Sadie are perfect for each other. Definitely a 5 star read.
I have been waiting for Daniel's story for quite sometimes. I loved him as a side character in Arrogant Artist. And it is a real treat to get in touch with some of the other characters from the author's universe. I really enjoyed the book, the banter between Rosie the serious girl and Daniel the Playboy is delightful and the chemistry between these two is toe-curling. They are perfect for each other but misunderstandings, secrets and lies get in the way before a well deserved HEA.
This book does have some good spicy scenes and the characters are likeable. However, the story is very slow. The first half is a will they/won't they type thing.
Minor spoilers ahead.
The couple has a struggle that I think was 75% on Rosie. Daniel could have handled it better, but the bigger mistake was on her part. I guess she reaches the point where she understands she screwed up, but I think he had a right to be angry.
Someone ends up injured and the medical response to that injury is way off what would happen. It is a minor part of the story.
While the spicy scenes were good, he kept mentioning taking her to the Paradise Club and I was disappointed that didn't happen. I don't know how he thought he could do that and keep it a secret from her friends, though.
This book, as all her books do, has so many grammatical errors. There are so many misused personal pronouns. So many sentences are separated with commas instead of periods. And she dropped the "g" off a particular word without adding the ' in its place more than once. While I understand the short turn around time and not having a big budget for editing, free software would catch 90% or more of the errors. Going through the corrections would only take a couple of hours. I just don't understand why so many authors dont make use of free and fast tools to make their products better.
If you follow JA Low, you'll want to read it to keep up with who pairs off with whom. I wouldn't recommend it as a stand-alone. I also wouldn't recommend starting with this series. Having read most of her books, I have a hard time keeping up with all the previous characters and how they are connected. It would be an irritating read if you hadn't read any of her previous series.
It started as a one night stand. Then things got awkward when Rosie realized Daniel owned the art gallery her interior design firm uses, and that he is the best friend of her boss's husband. But, Daniel DuPont is a man who knows what he wants, and he doesn't give up.
As their friendship grows, so do the “benefits,” but both agree to keep their relationship a secret from their friends. But as feelings begin to grow, that becomes more and more difficult. With fate throwing obstacles in their way, such as a dream job for Rosie thousands of miles away as well as lots of missed communications, can this couple ever be more than a fun affair?
Daniel and Rosie were incredibly hot together. It's clear from the start that their attraction is off the hook! But, both really have some hang ups when it comes to relationships and their own baggage. Daniel is a client, and Rosie does not want to tarnish her professional reputation. She also carries some self esteem issues when it comes to fitting into Daniel’s billionaire world. Daniel is incredibly persistent, but isn’t the best communicator. He doesn’t necessarily trust in his feelings for Rosie and second guesses things causing hurt feelings.
I loved Daniel’s persistence and Rosie’s drive and independence. And, again, they are so incredibly hot together. But, with poor communications and bad choices, this book has plenty of angst which will leave readers wondering if this couple can ever get their stuff together in order to see what everyone else does . . .that they are perfect for each other! 4 stars!
Arrogant Playboy JA Low ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Another fabulous read from Ms Low. Her characters always come to life through her writing, and this is true in Arrogant Playboy. Daniel DuPont and Rosie Hunt crash together in a one-night stand, that night would be the beginning of a new life for them. Neither expecting to not only meet again but be in a wiring relationship. Rosie is an interior designer, finding her feet while working at Starr Designs. She’s worked hard to be successful in her career, and a sexy French man stands to ruin that. Daniel DuPont likes his women, but lives for his art gallery. He’s crazy rich, he’s smart and he’s the man every woman wants in their arm. But when an extremely hot encounter finds him in the arms of a certain gorgeous lady, he knows he wants more, but that woman walks away from him. When they find themselves in each others presence, Rosie is hellbent on keeping him a secret from her boss who is also close friends with him. Working together, sexual chemistry and banter to boot, this “couple” make for humorous and hot work relationship. Blurring lines, secrets, and lies stand to ruin everything. Rosie and Daniel are the perfect opposites attract couple if they can only speak up, grow up and be truthful. It’s not an easy ride, but this Arrogant Playboy has met his match!
I have been waiting for Daniel's book ever since I read about him in Louis's book, and my interest in him piqued even more in the Paradise series. Jess once again blew my mind with her writing and left me craving for more. I was engrossed in the read from the first page and finished it in a single sitting. Just as expected from Jess, the read was an emotional rollercoaster that tugged at my heart strings.
Daniel and Rosie are made for each other, and they find love when they least expect it. Daniel is just as charming as his brother, and I was swooning over Daniel throughout the read. I loved how ambitious they both were and how they supported each other. The spice was off the charts, and their chemistry smoking hot enough to burn pages. One thing I love the most in Jess's books is the development of characters, and you can see that in both Rosie, Daniel by the end.
There were moments when I was upset with Rosie and Daniel, but I understood their reasoning. I wish there was more about them based in the future, but I am hoping I will get a sneak peak in the next books. One of my favorite parts was having so many of my favorite characters back and getting a glimpse into their lives. Now I am excited for what's to come next. Thanks to Jess for the advanced copy of this enchanting read.
Daniel DuPont… oh youuu delicious man!!! Absolutely devoured this book in a day! JA Low never disappoints with her books! Who doesn’t love a man who knows what he wants and goes for it!
Quick & easy, fast-paced billionaire romance read that makes your heart so happy. The best palette cleanser type of read for a dark romance reader like myself. JA Low is one of the authors that can pull me away from my dark romance cave and give me the light happy feels with her billionaire romances.
But don’t get me wrong cause she also adds in little dark and twisties in some of her stories and I absolutely live for it!! And for the books she’s actually took a deep dive into the dark side, Bratva Jewels series & Three’s A Crown.. but those are reviews you’ll find in my reading history cause we are talking about Mr. Daniel DuPont at the moment. All I will say about these other books is that I can’t wait till she brings them back for you all to indulge in!
Can’t wait for you all to read this one. If you love billionaire romance with a little bit of forbidden-ish vibes, this one is for you!
Workplace / interior designer x client He’s her boss’s friend / forbidden-ish romance Billionaire romance One-night stand
Aww Daniel..swoon! This is a standalone but lots of interconnecting.
Daniel is a French, very wealthy, gorgeous, gallery owner. He carries the playboy title well but no one really knows him. Sure, he always has a beautiful woman on his arm, but no one knows it’s all for show, well mostly, he’s not a saint. He’s been perfectly fine with that title until recently. Now all his friends and family are settling down and all have someone and he is starting to see the appeal.
Rosie is an interior designer and loves her job. Recently, due to her boss, she has been thrown into the finer things in life with the wealthy. But all she does is work and her friends want her to let loose a bit. So she decides to try a one night stand, and the guy is gorgeous. When she walks away, she never thought she would see him again.
Such a good read. Daniel and the other men are such teddy bears despite their alpha appearances. Love seeing the romantic softer side of them. Very entertaining and steamy. Look forward to more.
Arrogant Playboy is the 2nd book in the Art of Love series and embodies the concept of 'It's a small world.' Not only do we have cameo appearances of all the main characters from the Paradise Club series who happen to be Daniel's friends and their partners, he is also brother to the main character in Arrogant Artist, who happens to fall for one of Rosie's best friends. There is a bit of overlap between the two books as some of the events take place concurrently. Sexy, flirty and sizzling, Arrogant Playboy is an entertaining romp with quite a bit of back-and-forth, misunderstandings and miscommunication between Rosie and Daniel, but in the end, love triumphs - as it should! Now I'm looking forward to the third hot Frenchman to find his HEA! I was fortunate to have received an advanced copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
Rosie’s friends told her she needed to get laid or have a one night stand. That she did. She had an amazing night in a garden with a stranger during a party and when he asked for her to go back to his room and she continued walking away. Daniel was shocked when he was told no by a woman that doesn’t happen. He couldn’t get her out of his mind. Imagine his shock when his friend walks into his gallery and sees the woman who literally walked away from him. Rosie only has eyes on her career and never wanted a man to derail her dreams and goals. Now Daniel has different plans and he is making it difficult. I love all of JA books and this was no different. I couldn’t put the book down. The way Daniel fell and fell hard for Rosie is swoon worthy.
OMG, I am in love with Daniel!!! After a one-night stand, he knows what he wants but didn’t get her number, lucky him he runs into her again! Rosie, determined not to mix business with pleasure stirs clear of Daniel, they can’t have a repeat! Daniel doesn’t give up and he and Rosie find themselves spending time together, each of them knowing that in the end, they will both get hurt! Can they find a way to meet in the middle? JA Low, I will have to say this is probably one of my top favorites of yours! I can’t wait to see what you do next with the Art of Love Series!!!
Rosie Hunt, interior designer and rising star. A great girl gang of friends. One night of passion, then another meeting as a friend of her boss. Oops.
Career or relationship. Assimilating to having no end of riches. Crossing a line with a client. Last man standing. Multiple lines of intersection, and opening your heart. A bit of lack of communication between our main couple, but friends ensure the mistakes are not permanent..
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
I loved Daniel, and have been waiting since his first intro for his book. The steam is good and catching up with previous characters was great, but I actually skipped through a few pages as Rosie just isn’t a nice character, she’s quite a silly, rude and immature little girl and apart from looks I can’t really tell what’s quite so capturing about her. This one disappointed me to be honest , and I’m always waiting for the next book so it surprised me.
The dynamic between Daniel and Rosie was fire. Their will they/won’t they banter kept me hooked. I loved her personality shifts from serious career woman to self-concious inexperienced lover, but Ms. Low always brings it with her characterizations.
Was I upset we didn’t see them at Paradise: F*** YEAH I’M UPSET! Am I petitioning for a bonus epilogue: DUH!
Wow! I need Daniel in my life! I love this author and I definitely loved this book. Daniel and Rosie. On the surface, they don’t seem like they would jive but as you read their story you know that they are perfect for one another. I loved seeing previously loved characters and getting glimpses into their lives through the eye of Rosie and Daniel. This author is a one click author for me and I recommend this and all her books full heartedly.
I am in love with Daniel. An absolute sweetheart. Rosie is strong and passionate about what she wants. They are a match made in heaven. I love how all of the characters from JA Low’s other books come together. Once you have finished their stories you still get snippets of them in the others you read. I would love to be a part of their world for real, not just a reader
The Arrogant Playboy by JA Low is an engaging and delightful read. The chemistry between Daniel and Rosie is palpable, making their love story both compelling and enjoyable. The author does an excellent job of developing the characters and building their relationship in a way that keeps readers hooked from beginning to end. If you appreciate well-written romance with dynamic characters, this book is definitely worth your time.
"Arrogant Playboy" is a fun, steamy, and flirtatious read filled with plenty of playful banter, misunderstandings, and miscommunications between the characters. I was completely hooked and couldn't put it down. Daniel's deepening feelings for Rosie are absolutely swoon-worthy, and I really enjoyed the way their romance unfolded.
Daniel thrives on his job his work his friends have all found there other half his the lAst man standing until he hooks up at a club with a girl he wants her to go home with him but she just walks away then he meets her again and finds out she works for his friends wife and things happen good and confusing
I really enjoyed this book. After meeting Daniel in Arrogant Artist I thought he was the mmc in that book but soon realised he wasn’t. I loved Daniel & Rosie’s story and reading cameos from the Paradise Club series characters in this book too made me want to read that series again. I’ve now read all of J.A Low’s books and can’t wait to read more from her in future
ARC Review Not as great as JA Low’s usual writing. The characters lacked depth and the writing / plot wasn’t as gripping. Was grateful to be an ARC reader. It’s likeable enough and easy to read, but was lacking IMO.
Fantastic reading Daniel and Rosie’s story. It was also great seeing the other couples from the other linked series forming part of Daniel and Rosie’s journey together. I really loved it JA Low you are on fire🔥 👏🏽👏🏽
This was a fun read. I loved every single character & how the third act breakup was a realistic one. How you assume and choose what’s best for someone else instead of talking it all out with them. Fear is a bit€%.
This was a whole nother level of wealth so some of the scenarios read as fairy tale. However the characters were fun and the story wrapped up the best friends group.
Oh my gosh!! Seriously… JA LOW! I love your books but something about Daniel freaking DuPont! Swoon!! Also, I wanna be like Rosie when I grow up! Definitely one of my favs!
