i appreciate the dedication of an entire little book to different peoples writing musings poems or constructive thought on dreams and daydreams :)) i’m doing work about day dreams rn so it was ofc topical and was especially interested in the work of this artist collective featured in it and the idea of concrete utopias (?) anyway it’s cute i’ve been into short books come borrow it from me sometime
Brought a lot of meaning to time spent dreaming—I loved the structure of the book. An art book, a theory book, a collection of poetry and other meanderings on the subconscious.
The concept of dream-time spent with someone, or somewhere, as valid, real, continued experiences with those people or places, was touching and made me appreciate my dreams a whole lot more.
In their desire to approach this deeply abstract topic intellectually, much of the writing failed to effectively communicate its message. The premise is a fascinating thought exercise but it was something of a pretentious reading experience. Given the already philosophical nature of the topic, the hyper-intellectual language made some passages feel totally inaccessible.
