When newlyweds Lucy and Travis set off for their honeymoon at Green Acres Glamping Ranch, they expected romance, relaxation, and s'mores by the campfire. What they didn't bargain for was stumbling upon a grisly murder scene during their moonlit stroll.
The local sheriff wants to write off the killing as a bear attack, but Lucy's psychic truth radar buzzes louder than angry campfire mosquitoes. When the FBI shows up, it becomes obvious that something sinister is brewing in the charming glamping community.
Now the newlyweds find themselves investigating on their own honeymoon, with rescue dogs Paco and Ellie lending a paw to sniff out clues. Can they crack the case before their dream honeymoon turns into a nightmare?

I can't help it, but whenever Travis says "Lucy" I picture the Ricardos. Lucy and Travis are finally off on their honeymoon, with Paco and Ellie in toe, to a glamping ranch in the Blue Ridge Mountains. While now that she has found love and can no longer tell when Travis is lying, her fear that she would no longer be able to communicate with Paco has not happened. Their honeymoon tent is everything that Travis thought it would be, but before too long Paco finds a body and then another. Travis now believes everything Lucy ever told him about Paco. When Lucy detects too many lies, she and Travis start their own investigation. But when Lucy misreads some of her clues, it almost costs her and Paco's lives. However, now she has her hunky husband to come to the rescue. Humorous dialogue, lively banter and intersting characters make this a entertaining read. HONEYMOON HOMICIDE HIJINKS is the tenth book in the Lucy McGuffin, Psychic Amateur Detective series. It's not set in Whispering Pines, Florida where her café is located and where she lives but in North Carolina while she and her husband are on their honeymoon. Of course, once again there's a murder to solve and Lucy and her husband, Travis, who's the police chief in their small town are once again in the thick of things, even if it's out of his jurisdiction.
There are vivid descriptions of the glamping campground they are staying in along with the small town and businesses set in Bear Claw. There are lots of new characters since we're in a new location but many are just not likable. There are many rumors about the murder victim and what happened and tons of red herrings and clues to sort through. There are a multitude of suspects in Lucy's eyes and once again her dog, Paco, is front and center doing what he does best. Travis' retired police dog, Ellie is also in on the action.
While Lucy and Travis don't think much of the local police they don't seem to have all of the facts. There are twists and turns to the story with a lot of details sprinkled throughout. There are a lot of twists and turns in this cozy mystery. The storylines are woven together but sometimes seem out of place but of course that just means there are more details to be analyzed. There is closure when the whodunnit is solved and I hadn't focused on the right suspect. I can't wait to see what Lucy gets up to next!
Another in the fabulous series by Maggie March with Lucy and Paco. If this is your first introduction to this series, please go back and read the first couple of books. Lucy is a baker in Florida who has an uncanny ability to tell when people are lying. Her dog Paco finds dead bodies and talks to ghosts. Just go with it. These are light and lighthearted romantic suspense books and in this story, Lucy has married the town’s sheriff,Travis, and they are on their honeymoon. They are going glamping in the mountains of NC and both have brought their dogs on their honeymoon. Their first night there, a murder occurs and the rest of the story is so entertaining as they figure out “who did it”. These books are fun because I love trying to figure out who and what actually happened. Ms. March has the great ability to write lighthearted but completely satisfying mysteries.
This was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Lucy and Travis travel to the Green Acres Glamping Ranch, and trouble ensues. From obnoxious guests, a Broadway star, a killer bear, mob henchmen, secretive staff members, great pastries, and murder. This is a fun, laugh-out-loud adventure that keeps the action rolling with Lucy’s lie-detecting abilities and Paco’s ghost-whispering skills. Together, they zero in on the suspects and uncover the cunning killer. Lucy is witty and tenacious, while Travis is the voice of reason. The secondary characters add a lot of dimension to the story, and the glamping ranch is atmospheric and a little spooky. I really enjoyed this amusing trip with Lucy and Travis, along with their spunky dogs Paco and Ellie. I can't wait until the next Lucy McGuffin mystery!
Lucy and Travis's honeymoon starts out as normal as possible. Lucy's spidey senses kept going off. Who was lying and why. It takes the murder of Oliver Ross, the owner of Green Acres Glamping Ranch, to set off Paco. All the rumors, all the people lying, still doesn't convince Lucy that there was a bear attack. Ellie, Travis's German shepherd, was even in on finding a clue. It was a family affair that figured it all out in the end.
Lucy McGuffin and Paco are some of my favorite sleuthers! I love that she and Travis are married. The Honeymoon is no exception to Lucy's luck, there are dead bodies at camp! Lucy and Travis both sense trouble and get caught up in another mystery. I have loved this series from the start and it's great to see these great characters continue. Every book is amazing, I loved this one. Read them all!
This was a fun read. I really liked how Lucy and Travis worked together on this case. When Lucy and Travis take a honeymoon, trouble follows them. In true Lucy fashion, she can only help solve the crime. I love reading about Lucy and Paco and all the antics they get upto trying to solve the crime. If you love this series, then you will love this book. Fingers crossed there will be more books to come. I am leaving this review voluntarily after being sent a free book.
Only Lucy and Travis could end up with a murder on their honeymoon! There are suspects, clues, side stories and red herrings galore that keep a reader guessing from start to finish. It was a quick, fun read and I hope there will be many more mysteries for Lucy and Paco to solve. Highly recommended.
As Lucy and Truman to the Green Acres glamming ranch for their honeymoon. They also have their sweet dogs Paco and Ellie. The book is filled with Mystery, Mayhem, and Murder. Loved every minute of this book especially when Lucy and Paco are taking to each other.
Highly recommend this book. I do suggest reading the series in order.
Another terrific entry in this great series. Lucy and Travis and their dogs are on a "glamping" honeymoon and, as usual, things are not quiet and peaceful. There are many unexpected plot twists and turns in this book which will keep you on your toes. I was given an advance copy of this book and would recommend it highly.
Another great addition to this cozy mystery series! I really enjoyed how Lucy and Travis’ relationship has grown, and the partnership they are building. Paco and Ellie were great side kicks, and it was an enjoyable read. The plot and characters were good, and the mystery fun! Hope to get more in the series!
As usual Lucy’s all over the place with her theory’s, but she and Paco, this time with the help of her new husband and his dog, get it right. And as always she somehow gets into a life and death situation, and this time with Paco’s help she gets the drop on the killers., before the police get there. Not my idea of a honeymoon, but great read.
Another easy to enjoy book of Maggie Marsh's. Fun to read, super enjoyable to see what Paco and Lucy are up to. Lucy and Travis are on their honeymoon, with Ellie the German Shepherd and Paco the hero. Only their honeymoon doesn't stay stress free for long. Both dogs do what comes naturally to them. Paco finds dead people and Ellie sniffs out evidence.
Another cute story in this fun series. There's always adventure wherever Lucy and Paco go and of course, it happened to them again! The mystery and the laughs are always enjoyable. I'm always glad to read another book in this series and I'm anxious to find out what happens with them next.
I love Lucy and Paco. She always finds herself involved in a murder investigation whether she should be or not. Even on her Honeymoon! Travis and Lucy are made for each other. If you want a little mystery and some laughs I highly recommend this book.
Lucy and Travis are on their honeymoon when they (Paco) find a dead body. Lucy has one theory and suspect after another until the truth finally comes out. Ellie was a big help too with her GS police nose. Fun, entertaining murder mystery which keeps you guessing until the end.
I just love all of the Lucy McGuffin books! Paco is adorable, especially his interaction with Lucy. And now we add in more of Travis and Ellie and it makes me so happy. I am looking forward to #11 in this series!!!
Another wonderful story! Lucy, Travis, Paco and Ellie are going on a honeymoon. Unfortunately a murder happens. So many possible suspects. It is good from start to finish!
Lucy, Travis AND the dogs are on the road. Their trip includes pastries, celebrities, and of course A MYSTERY. I was way off on predicting this one. I think it may be the best adventure yet.
I finally got to read the honeymoon story and I loved it. After an action-packed wedding, I knew that the honeymoon would be full of murder and mayhem too. I was not disappointed. Oh boy: bear attacks, mobs, lots of suspects and suspense in that one set in North Carolina for a relaxing honeymoon gone south. As always, Lucy the muffin baker and her dog Paco communicate well and solve crimes, but now her new husband Travis is on board and they have great chemistry and timing. As usual Lucy gets herself into scrapes and I did not see that final solution coming. Have fun with this one!
Lucy and her brand new husband, Travis go on their honeymoon to a wonderful glamping vacation. They take along their precious dogs, Paco and Ellie. There they run into many different characters. Because Paco and Ellie have special skills, when Lucy and Travis get pulled into a murder investigation, the dogs help out.
There are so many potential murderers. This one is going to be tough to figure out on your own.
It's a fun cozy mystery that is suitable for most readers.
Travis and Lucy think they will have an ordinary honeymoon but wherever they go they seem to find a case to solve. This honeymoon is no exception. Love this book. I was gifted this book as an ARC. This is my honest review. Can’t wait for the next book
From the beginning to when Paco came to live with Lucy to when Lucy marries Travis the Lucy McGuffin, Psychic Amateur Detective Series has been a hit with me. Now book ten, Honeymoon Homicide Hijinks is just as great of a read. Maggie March manages to keep this series light, intriguing and original, not to mention that she gives us our needed dose of Paco. Love that little ghost whisperer and now Ellie too. Lucy is pretty good herself being a human lie detector which is going off the charts after finding what could be a victim of a bear attack. But is it?
A marvelous addition to the series with Bear attacks, FBI showing up and rumors of unsavory characters around to cause trouble, lots of trouble. A story that makes for a honeymoon like no other. For a fun truly enjoyable time, read today.
