In a moment of panic, I turn to Victoria first.

It’s what Harper would want, but it’s becoming what I need.

As our connection deepens, I'm working hard to prove my past no longer defines me. My priorities have changed now that I have a child and I'm falling in love for the first time.

And then I discover Victoria told her family she's bringing me as her date to her sister’s destination wedding. With her ex as the best man and her as the maid of honor, I agree to go. After all, attending a wedding and pretending I’m in love with her won’t really be much of an act for me.

Just before we leave for the tropics, an altercation threatens to destroy everything I've worked so hard for over the last couple months.

And now I have a proposition of my own...a fair catch that could change our lives forever.

FAIR CATCH is the third book in the VEGAS THE PLAYBOOK series. This series must be read in order.

We are essentially half way to the ”sweet spot” of this journey and me and this serial are still getting along just fine! :) I’m not gonna lie and say I’m 100% behind this story being 5 parts long right now, but so far, the 3 parts I’ve listened to make sense. They each have a distinct point of growth and development and my Spidey senses tell me if this was written as 1 or maybe 2 books, it would not come across the same *shrug* who knows, amirite? I’m happy thus far so that’s what counts for me! LOL

There’s no real surprise with the ending/cliffhanger, but I was surprised that Lisa took what I consider to be the easy way out for a conflict. The whole ex-boyfriend talking smack plot-point just seems so overdone and trite at this point. I knew the guy was going to be a menace, so I think that’s partly why I was like ugh when the “incident” occurred. Other than that, as I mentioned, I’m really liking how all the storylines are progressing, because there’s really more than one.

I’m a little apprehensive that there are 2 more installments left because that leaves the field wide open for author shenanigans, but Lisa hasn’t shown to be that kind of author thus far, so we shall see!

🎧NARRATION ⇒ I’m still a little awed at how much I’m enjoying Lance Greenfield on this one. I mean he’s not a bad narrator by any means, but I can’t remember the last time I listened to him for more than a handful of hours at a time let alone an average of 6-7 per installment. Color me giddy! :) Callie Dalton has been a favorite of mine for a long while so of course she’s killing it! *heart eyes*

“It wasn’t just the heat of the moment, Hartley. I’m falling in love with you, and it’s terrifying and beautiful and f***ing insane all at the same time.”
- Lisa Suzanne, Fair Catch (Vegas Aces: The Playbook, Book 3)

Question: what do you call someone worse than the worst person known to mankind?!

….

….

Owen.

That’s what we call him 😤

Am I just lying down staring at the ceiling — well, technically at my phone — unmoving — well, technically typing… but you get me — because of that ending?! YES. I’m equal parts heartbroken and mad. SO MAD! And I’m not sure how to keep going.

I have a feeling things are going to get worse. So much worse.

Talking about worse… have I told you Owen is the worst?!

My heart is not sure of much right now except for this:
🩷love you harts
🩷love you harps
🩷love you Travis
🩷Owen is the worst
🩷love you Lori
🩷seriously, Owen is the worst!

This series can literally do anything it wants to me and I’ll just take it and say thank you 😭

What’s inside:
🖤sports romance
🖤TERRIBLE ex
🖤single dad
🖤teacher/parent
🖤somewhat marriage of convenience

Good Lord chapter 29 was hot! The story of Travis and Victoria just keeps getting better. The cliffhanger from book 2 left me in sorts and the cliffhanger for this one also left me in sorts.

Fair Catch is the third book in the Vegas Aces: The Playbook series. It picks up after the cliffhanger in book two. Travis is rushing to the hospital because Harper's new potential nanny has given her peanuts, resulting in an allergic reaction. Overwhelmed with everything, the only person he thinks to call is Victoria. She is a source of calm in his life. Victoria is starting to fit well into Travis and Harper's lives, so Travis asks Victoria to move in. They are finally leaning into their feelings for each other and are developing a deeper relationship. Travis and Victoria are good for each other, and they work together to give Harper the best care possible. When danger lurks and obstacles arise, they stand together. Ultimately, Travis and Harper end up making a huge decision in hopes of protecting their family. Things are getting serious, and more than ever, Travis and Victoria will need to rely on their love for each other to get them through the upcoming battle.

NARRATION:
Callie Dalton and Lance Greenfield continue to impress me with their flawless portrayals of Victoria and Travia. They are wonderful storytellers and had me on the edge of my seat throughout this book. Callie and Lance are putting a lot of emotion into this series, and I love their performances.

Thanks to Lisa Suzanne and Valentine PR for providing a gifted audiobook copy. Opinions expressed are my own.

I don’t know if my heart can take waiting for the next two books! Hopefully you read the last book, and remember we were left with what happened to Harper when her nanny gave her something with peanuts in it and she almost died. I couldn’t imagine what Travis went through hurting for his little girl. I was so thankful he called Victoria and had her to lean on. Watching Travis and Victoria fall in love was so heartwarming. It was even better with Harper and how much she loved Victoria. Travis makes some changes with his housing that made me envious. I didn’t understand Victoria’s younger sister and how she treated Victoria. Victoria’s ex was a piece of work I even wanted to get my hands on. This cliffhanger is killing me and I can’t wait to get the next book! I strongly encourage you to read this book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

How does Lisa Suzanne keep doing this to me? I have my favorite Vegas Aces player, then she starts a whole new series and makes me fall head over heels for them. Truly, I'm just going to say I love them all because I don't know how I can pick a favorite! Travis was quite a surprise I didn't see coming, and seeing him with Victoria - these two are sizzling hot, and I love every moment of watching their love story unfold.

Travis just has such a wonderful heart. He's been thrust into this whole parenting gig, not having any clue of what to do, changing his whole life around, and just knowing that he wants to do right by his daughter. And he's also trying to navigate whatever feelings he's developing for Victoria, who is falling just as hard for him as he is for her. And obviously, while they are in the Bahamas for her sister's wedding, they fall even harder for one another, but her douchey-ex (who totally deserved that black eye) is still in the picture, causing problems for not only Victoria but Travis.

Even though I totally saw how this one was going to end, it still had the impact that one can expect from a Lisa Suzanne cliffhanger... and I'm on pins and needles over here waiting to read Forward Progress to see where we go from here. But if there's one thing I do know, even if Owen (douchey-ex) has the upper hand now, he'll get what's coming to him (more than just a punch to the face).

After the cliffhanger from the last book is resolved, we really get to dive deep into Victoria and Travis’s budding relationship. Up until this point, their interactions have been minimal and we haven’t really gotten to see them really and truly be together.

This book really shows the evolution of their new relationship and how both of them are overcoming struggles in order to be together.

Harper’s relationship with Travis really blossomed in this book as well and Travis as a dad really stood out. You can finally see that he’s putting in the work to be more selfless with her.

This book was also definitely full of the spice!

Fair Catch by Lisa Suzanne was a whirlwind addition to the series, propelling the story forward in a tremendous way. The book was extremely spicy, and I enjoyed witnessing Travis and Victoria find their rhythm together as a couple. Harper was absolutely adorable and stole the show for me, creating a heartwarming father-daughter bond with Travis.

However, the twist at the end left me anxious for Travis's future, and I can't wait to see what happens next. And let me just say it: I hate Owen and need his character to disappear!!!!!

A Must Read

Ms. Suzanne is killing this series with Travis and Victoria. Travis is such a great single dad and it shows through in this book even more. With Travis and Victoria doing this love/hate thing its always a blast to see what is thrown into their path next. I don’t think I have rooted for a couple more than I have for them and little Harper is such a breath of fresh air. I have fallen in love with all three of them. This book ended with another cliffhanger that has me waiting with bated breath for the next book to come.

I cannot recommend this series high enough.

The chemistry has finally boiled over and Victoria & Travis have finally realized the feelings they have for each other. They have a strong relationship and Travis is there for both Victoria & Harper.
They have some hurdles that they have to maneuver, but everything they go through together just makes them stronger.
I can’t wait to see what happens next, how Travis will deal with his latest predicament and how Victoria & Harper will get through it.

Lance Greenfield and Callie Dalton do an amazing job with this duet narration.

Did I get this book at 11PM at night? Yes. Did I stay up until an un-godly hour reading it - also yes. Do I have regrets for the lack of sleep - not. a. single.one.

Fair Catch picks up where book two leaves off, with Travis having a scary "dad moment" that all parents fear. The story continues following Victoria and Travis as they figure out their relationship - how do they feel about eachother? What are they to eachother?

Are you hooked? Because I am. Cannot wait until Forward Progress.

caught up

Only because I’m caught up in this story I won’t rant about the authors need to drag out a series that could literally be 2 books.

I will state - Victoria’s sister is a bratty, self-centered b!t@$. Sometimes Victoria herself is immature but her sister is a whole other level that needs to be knocked down a notch but apparently her fiancé, parents and sister say nothing.
PS - I hate Owen

Travis and Victoria are getting closer and Harper is benefiting with this. But situations keep happening that makes for a few trying times. He agrees to go to her sisters weddings as her date but Victoria’s sister is pressing her to get back with Owen. But they are ignoring him and her sister but then things get out of hand with Owens meddling! What will happen next! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Fair Catch is the the Third Book in the Vegas Aces: The Playbook -
In this book we see why this series is named The Playbook. Our cliffhanger from book two was quickly wrapped up. Travis makes some big decisions as we watch him start to fall in love with Victoria. Owen shows up again and adds to more hurdles our couple needs to work through. We end on a cliffhanger again, which is to be expected in a series. I LOVE that the cliffhangers have been other circumstances and not the couple breaking up or fighting. I have been listening to the audio and have been really enjoying it. I can't wait for book four!

The Queen of cliffhangers is back, but did she really leave. The first two books were mild compared to the scream I had this time. Travis and Victoria just made my heart grow in size by them finally showing more love then hate in this book. But Harper is still the scene stealer with her cuteness with either Travis or Victoria. I really like the difference between the Villain being a male instead of another woman this time around.

Much like Travis and Victoria, I had a love/hate relationship with this series and I hate-read all the books. I almost put down book 4 as a DNF but I knew it had to have a happy ending and I’m glad I finished.

I don’t think this book needed to be a 5 part series and some is the lack of communication was highly eye rolling but otherwise, the 🌶️ were good and the playboy to family man trope won.

Definitely enjoyed this Audiobook to the max !
Lisa Suzanne knows how to keep up craving more and more and the story only gets better exponentially especially with these talented Narrators Lance Greenfield
And Callie Dalton!
It’s most definitely a must Listen !

FAIR CATCH is the third book in the VEGAS ACES: THE PLAYBOOK series. This series must be read/listened to in order

Ok let’s jump into details a bit .

The story picked up right where it ended last with Travis racing to the hospital because Harper had in jest nuts and went into anaphylactic shock, and the only person he could think of calling and wanted to be there was Victoria.

“One minute I want to rip his head off, and the next minute
I want to rip his clothes off...”
Victoria ~

Believe me this began to change between them and I’m loving it .. although at times Victoria would get up in her head and try to mess up the way things are going but Travis OMG .. love this guy .. he isn’t having any of what Victoria issues is .. he defunct every single problem she could possibly come up with and boy it is fun to listening!

Travis and his daughter are both hilarious!
Travis had me cracking up with his memory palace because of his disability with reading and Jesus this man has one dirty mind and mouth !

But as things get serous between them, Victoria sister is still insistent on pushing Owen the obnoxious ex on her .. ( what heck is this sister problem? Does this girl really hate her sister that much?!)
but of course Travis is having none of it ..
so a wedding in the beautiful Bahamas shut down Owen for now, while bracing for a storm brewing when the got back home.

Stay tuned as these Travis and Victoria fight to get their HEA and navigate one heck of field riddled with obstacles!

But Omg omg .. what a horrible human that ex!
I’m so mad!
Just as I thought, I knew Owen couldn’t wait to press charges .. I’m fuming and dying to know what comes next!
Wow what an ending and a way to keep us engaged!
Lisa Suzanne is definitely in my book the Queen of edging and Cliffhanger.. because I’m one of her Royal subjects forever hooked !

Be sure to grab the series and start listening as
Callie Dalton and Lance Greenfield weave their magic giving us the best experience possible in this series with their amazing narration. Listen as they heat up scenes and deliver an emotional experience ending!
Love It all !

Fair Catch is the third book in Lisa Suzanne's addictive Vegas Aces: The Playbook series and is the continuing story of Travis, Victoria and Harper.
Fair Catch picks up right where False Start finished with an extremely scary situation with Harper which makes Travis realise how much he feels for Victoria, in his moment of distress the only person he wanted was her.
Even though everything has become clear to Travis, that him and his daughter have found their missing piece, Victoria is still apprehensive to start anything with the wide receiver, firstly because of his reputation and her dreams of a husband and a family in the future do not go together and it isn't just them that has the risk of getting their heart broken, Harper's is at risk too.
But the connection between them is undeniable and the sparks between them become too hard to ignore so they decide to be together but in secret to protect Harper.
However being together was just as perfect, amazing and electric as Travis knew they would be and now Victoria is getting to see the new and improved Travis Woods, an amazing father who would do anything for his little girl and who could be perfect husband material?!
"I was so sure I knew who Travis was that night he hit on me, but I was dead wrong. Instead, I've found a kind and compassionate man, an incredible father, someone who can make me laugh, and someone who will stand up for me.
He's my future."
So when there is a threat that could mean losing Harper, Travis and Victoria will do anything it takes to make sure she stays where she belongs, even if that means speeding up their relationship. But add in a jealous, malicious ex who will stop at nothing to get Victoria back, things aren't going to be easy for them, they may have found their forever in each other and are creating a family together but will they be able to hang on to it? To each other?
Read Fair Catch now to find out!
I honestly have no words to describe how intense and how perfect Fair Catch is! I'm not sure I can survive the next two books especially another cliff-hanger! This series is a true rollercoaster ride that will bring out so many emotions in you, that when you get to yet another cliff-hanger (which I imagine Lisa Suzanne sits at her computer and evil laughs when she writes them!) that you won't know whether to scream or to throw your kindle! Just when you think they'll get their HEA, that everything is great, perfect even and they're creating an amazing family unit...BAM! everything changes! I need the next book now but I'm not sure my heart can take anymore! Well done Lisa you've made me lose my mind, Travis, Victoria and Harper are all I can think about!
I received an arc of Fair Catch and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

Picking right up from where False Start ended, Lisa Suzanne has us jumping right back into book three of Vegas Aces: The Playbook series.

Fair Catch continued to focus on the relationship shared between Travis and Victoria.
However in this case, we actually got to see the official start of something new, as Travis and Victoria’s relationship set us upon the path that allowed it to flourish and head in the direction of them becoming a real couple. Given their interactions beforehand were smaller, more distant and few and far between with no sense of a real direction, especially with their constant back and forth, pushing and pulling going on.
In reading Fair Catch, you could see this time round there was more progression with Travis and Victoria, the distance closing by pulling them to one another through better communication and expression of their emotions and feelings to one another. All the whilst juggling their struggles that they opened up about to each other at times to move forward.

Though it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the couple, since the whirlwind that was the relationship took you on an even more erratic ride at times, considering what went down.
Ultimately resulting in some major shocking surprise twists, upping the ante in keeping you guessing, whilst holding on tighter from every page turn.

Other than the spotlight on Travis and Victoria, we also got to see more of Travis’s relationship with Harper, going strength to strength, allowing their bonding to bring them closer together.
And let me just say it was too cute, adorable and oh so sweet seeing their interactions, especially from the lightness, laughter and lots of love it brought forth.
Lisa showcased Travis's dad qualities coming out in droves, despite being new to it all, you could see the progress he was making, considering his growth that had him doing everything in his power with putting her first.

Considering there was a lot going on, Lisa Suzanne did a good job in compartmentalising the storyline, so it wasn't all over the way. Or feel like it was too much in being overwhelming.
Particularly when you add in the secondary characters and subplots that were lying in wait in the background, ready for their spotlight, considering the connections it had to the main plots and characters.

That ending though, Lisa Suzanne definitely kicked it up a notch with Fair Catch, when you compare it to the previous cliffhangers.
It definitely has me here waiting in anticipation of what will happen for Travis and his future with Victoria and Harper in the next book Forward Progress.

Fair Catch
Travis is racing to get to the hospital where they are taking Harper with a life-threatening peanut allergy. How could this happen? He sees the babysitter/nanny hopeful at the hospital and fires her. What will he do when training starts in a few short weeks?
Harper has become the center of his life. He is scared and the first thing he can think of is to call Victoria. He calls her and tells her he needs her. She calms the storms in him. He experiences a major shift, Harper and Victoria are starting to become the center of his world. In just a few short weeks he has become a father, met a woman that means more to him than any other and has left the bachelor lifestyle.
Victoria is making progress with Harper’s reading and her fluency/retention is improving. Travis has a similar problem. He is slowly opening up to Victoria and she helps him learn to prep for his upcoming football season by learning the new playbook. He comes to realize that he has feelings for her.
Maybe the answer to his problems is right in front of him. He could find a home that is larger than he is renting. It would have to have a pool and a separate casita for a nanny. Could Victoria take care of Harper during the football meetings/OTAs, travel dates and still date him?
With Victoria’s sister wedding in the Bahamas fast approaching, Victoria takes Travis home to introduce him to the family. Vanessa is hopeful that Owen and Victoria will get back together. He still has her baseball and is seemingly holding it hostage. Travis gets angry with Owen and it escalates into assault but Travis does recover the baseball. Will Owen retaliate with a law suit?
Slowly Travis and Victoria are falling in love, they must be careful it involves them but a ten-year-old daughter as well. Harper has been through a lot. Travis and Victoria arrive in the Bahamas for Vanessa’s wedding. The scene in the penthouse where Travis and Victoria act out some parts of the smutty book she is reading is SO HOT. Travis has an idea, maybe they should get married?
The threat of an arrest from Owen, the possibility of getting married, and getting his daughter to the Bahamas is so much of an emotional rollercoaster! Can this really be happening? Where do we go from here?

I was given an eARC copy of this book from WordSmith Publicity for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.

The cliffhanger from book 2 left me a little disconcerted, but this one picked up right where it left off. I breathed a sigh of relief when it was resolved, and knew everyone was okay. I could feel Travis' fear over his daughter's situation, and Victoria being there to be his calm made me smile. The fact that she was his "first call" is perfect. However, the angst and drama ratcheted itself up to a 10 throughout this book and completely exploded all over again by the end. Owen Platt is about to become a line item in my villain origin story. I do not like him.

After the original nanny fiasco with Maddy, Travis finally turns to Victoria for help - dropping a bombshell on her in the process. But can they build their relationship while being in such close quarters? And can Travis ward off the naysayers with plans to take his daughter? A run-in with Owen leaves Victoria hurt, confused, and well, bruised, as he got physical. Travis sees red, makes a beeline for the jerk's house and makes some questionable decisions, but retrieves something for Victoria that Owen, like the jerk face he is, had been holding hostage. All I wanted was for Travis to storm that butthead's house and get Victoria's property back - this made my heart so happy.

A trip to the Bahamas for Victoria's sister's wedding seems like the dream of a lifetime, but the events of that trip provide so much more than anyone bargained for. Victoria's sister really got on my nerves in this one, but I have been kind of wondering if her sister would be like this. Again, Owen Platt can go jump off a cliff for all I care.

The super hot, super sweet scene in chapter 29 had me fanning myself. It was so fun! I am forever and always Jack Dalton's #1 fan, but Travis is ever so slowly passing up Tristan Higgins as my #2 Vegas Ace. At first I wasn't sure how I would feel about Travis, but he is so much more than I expected. His love for his daughter and his devotion to Victoria give me a warm and fuzzy feeling in my chest.

Fair Catch (Vegas Aces: The Playbook #3) by Lisa Suzanne is part three of a five-part contemporary sports romance serial and ends with a cliffhanger. Told in first person dual POV, this installment includes single-parent and enemies-to-lovers tropes. The story follows the relationship between new single parent, pro football player Travis Woods and reading specialist Victoria Hartley, who works at his daughter’s school.

This book picks up where the last one ended with Harper in anaphylaxis, being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after the trial nanny accidentally fed her something containing peanuts. In a fearful panic, Travis reaches out to Victoria, and she’s there for him as he anxiously waits at the hospital for news about Harper. This ordeal bonds them, putting them on friendlier terms, and Victoria takes the nanny position. Travis reciprocates by offering to be her date to her sister’s destination wedding to dissuade the sister from trying to make Victoria reconcile with her creep of an ex—Owen, the groom’s best friend and best man. But the sister’s not convinced their relationship is real, and Owen will stoop as low as he needs to destroy whatever's happening between them.

I loved this third installment of Travis and Victoria’s story! It’s my favorite, so far. Victoria and Travis are growing closer and supporting each other. Since they no longer see each other as enemies, they give in to their sexual attraction and share some steamy moments. Travis, Victoria, and Harper are settling into a nice rhythm together and looking like a happy little family. Of course, things can’t stay happy for too long, because this is only book three of five. And that wouldn’t be any fun, would it? Nope! Instead, it ends on a cliffhanger you can see coming from a mile away, but that doesn’t soften the sucker-punch it delivers when it happens. Fair Catch is full of drama and twists. I can’t wait to get my hands on book four, Forward Progress.

This is book 3 in the ongoing romance between Victoria and Travis...and there are more surprises.
I may be naive but I never expected what would happen in this book.
Starting where book 2 left off the fear of losing Harper is in the air,Harper is Travis's daughter and had an allergic reaction leaving her being rushed to the hospital.
The only person Travis wants to be with in this moment is Victoria she is Harpers reading teacher and Travis's love interest.
Travis is still all in with Victoria and wants her as his..But Victoria at this point is pushing him away, but this event brings them together as they wait to see if Harper will be ok.
..It doesn't end here.. there are more situations that Travis and Victoria have to face together...But first Travis asks Victoria to be his live in Nanny while he is away during football season.
Of course Victoria says yes...and then there is the matter of Victoria needing a date for her sisters wedding...A disgruntled ex boyfriend Owen who does alot of damage to their relationship,He is a big threat to their happiness..
Oh and one more thing a surprise wedding !!
Honestly it is like a rollercoaster and I loved it..Lisa Suzanne just keeps amazing me just when I think nothing else could happen to this couple..she completely bulldozes me and another cliff hanger leaves us guessing what will happen to Travis?
Will he nearly lose Harper again?
What will Victoria do can their relationship last all the ups and downs?
I can't wait for books 4.
Once again Lance Greenfield and Callie Dalton are so excellent at telling this story..I love how expressive their voices are.
Lance actually makes me laugh sometimes when he voices Travis and his anger, cursing up a storm its brilliant.
Callie is as wonderful as always giving Sassy Victoria her spark...Both of them together make this book come alive perfectly.
I Loved listening to FAIR CATCH by Lisa Suzanne it is steamy and full of the drama only the romance genre can give.
Brilliant.
5 Stars.

Fair Catch continues the story of Travis, Harper and Victoria and the action picks up right where we left off. Travis and Victoria are finally admitting that more than hate exists between them and as they finally start to let each other in, unanticipated events threaten their newfound happiness.

“Harper and I have formed our own little family unit over the last month, and the way Victoria fits right in like the missing piece is both terrifying and electric.”

I loved the unexpected emotions in this installment. The heat and passionate connection that Victoria and Travis feel is absolutely palpable and can be felt through the pages. The emotional bond that is developing between Victoria, Travis and Harper is breathtaking beautiful and I loved watching them start to trust and rely on each other as they inch their way towards becoming a family.

“I feel it. She’s falling for me—for us—as much as I—we—are falling for her.”

Victoria is finally realizing that sometimes you have to take a risk without knowing the outcome while Travis is willing to sacrifice absolutely anything for those he loves. His determination to protect and cherish those he loves is both heartbreaking and swoonworthy.

“The more time I spend with her, the more time I add pieces of her to my memory palace, the more I see a future together.”

Full of spine-tingling chemistry, flirty, playful banter, and an emotional depth that is addictive, Fair Catch propels the story forward in an unexpected and thrilling way that will have you counting the days until the next book in this series. Fingers crossed that Owen gets what is coming to him!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐
🌶️🌶️.5

Fair Catch is the 3rd book in the Vegas Aces: The Playbook series and things finally start develop in a big way between Travis and Victoria. This book picked up right where the last book left off, with Travis rushing to the hospital after his daughter had a bad allergic reaction to something his nanny fed her. The first person he wanted to call for support was Victoria. I loved how she dropped everything to be there for him and his daughter.

I really enjoyed the progression of their relationship and how this book dealt with their deeper connection. Travis and Victoria are both all in and are officially dating. They are trying to be careful since his daughter is so close to Victoria and they don't want to rush things. Victoria also just got out of a long term relationship that wasn't the best, so she is afraid of jumping right into another relationship. Her ex is still trying to get her back and causing problems, especially with Travis when things get physical between them. This will lead to more drama and issues for the cliffhanger in this book. Travis makes an offer to Victoria that could be beneficial to both of them.

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧

I have been lucky enough to receive an ALC for all of the books in the series so far. I have really enjoyed the performances by Lance Greenfield and Callie Dalton. Lance Greenfield continues to do an amazing job as Travis, and I am liking his character more with each installment. Callie Dalton has brought more vulnerability and sweetness to Victoria in this book and I am enjoying her growth. I can listen to these audiobooks in one sitting.

This book picks up right where the previous book left off, so Travis is rushing to the hospital after his daughter, Harper, ate a peanut (she’s allergic). He’s panicking, and he immediately calls Victoria.

Thankfully, Harper is okay, and she’s extremely happy to see Victoria. Harper and Victoria have such a strong bond, and it’s definitely saying something that Travis only thought of calling Victoria during a moment of distress.

Travis and Victoria’s relationship really evolves during this book. They both realize their feelings and give in to them. However, they can’t just jump into a relationship, not when Harper is also involved. Not only that, but they also have to deal with Victoria’s a**hole of an ex, who is still holding her precious baseball hostage and claiming he wants her back.

Victoria has to go to her sister’s wedding, and her sister is trying to get her back with her ex, ot caring that Victoria said she’s dating Travis. Anyway, Travis is protective of Victoria, and when he sees what her ex did to her, well…he lets his anger get the better of him. His actions are going to cause a whole lot of problems, but to mitigate them he proposes an idea that will help him later.

Travis just gets better and better in every book. He really has changed his whole life to accommodate and protect his daughter, and he isn’t upset about it at all. He really just wants the best for her. And I loved his protectiveness and care for Victoria. Oh, and the spice in this was great.

I really REALLY hate Victoria’s ex. He’s awful, to put it nicely. And after that cliffhanger, I need the next book!

Things are getting both complicated and uncomplicated with Travis and Victoria!

Fair Catch is book 3 in the Vegas Aces: The Playbook series by Lisa Suzanne- and this book picks right back up at the heartstopping cliffhanger from book 2. Big strides in Travis' relationship with both Harper and Victoria take place in this book. Feelings are being explored, arrangements are being made and things are looking good for these two but not too good if you know what I mean.

This book explores the actual chemistry and compatibility of Travis and Victoria. Their chemistry in the bedroom, or back alley 😉, is fantastic- it's those tender almost vulnerable moments with each other that give me the girly happy sighs. Of course, they each still have some reservations and hang ups from past experience that is keeping them from being all in but I really like the direction they are moving in. What I don't like? Victoria's ex, Owen and honestly her sister Vanessa too. I'm kinda bummed with Victoria's sister- she's being a brat and completely unsupportive and it makes me sad. Owen... well... karma's gonna get him if Travis doesn't first.

Lisa is breaking me with the cliffhangers in this book... False Start had me in a panic while this one breaks my heart for the scared little girl that thought things were finally turning around when her world is about to be flipped again. I can't wait for more!!

Fair Catch by Lisa Suzanne is the third installment in the Playbook Series and the most intense in this emotionally charged, passionate, and sizzling hot drama! I have become so caught up and invested in the gut-wrenching scenes written by Ms. Suzanne in this 3rd book that at one point I realized I had been reading for a couple of hours nonstop and had contracted my stomach muscles so tightly during that time that I caused myself some very serious pain! I literally had to remind myself that this was a work of fiction and not happening to me in my life! Travis and Victoria’s fears and doubts and hopes became so real to me I had manifested it physically! Then I was left breathless after reading the incredibly sensual and hot encounters between Travis and Victoria! And, just when I was certain that Ms. Suzanne could not manipulate my emotions any further, she brought out the big guns…Harper…and had my brain scrambling desperately to find a way Travis could protect her from the legal and criminal chaos Owen created for him to face! By the end of this story, I felt as though I ran the Boston Marathon! And once again, Ms. Suzanne had left me hanging over a very steep and treacherous cliff, by a mere fraying thread! What a story! You absolutely must RUN to the nearest bookseller to buy this novel today!!
