Anson's Awakening

Rate this book
Tis the season for a Little self-discovery.

Doctor Anson Meyers has decided that Christmas is not for him. He’s lonely and discontented with all his most recent attempts to ‘find himself’ in the world of kink and BDSM. So, when Drake, a fellow Daddy at his local kink club, invites him to hide from the world in a remote cabin over the holidays, Anson jumps at the chance.

It doesn’t hurt that he’s got a bit of a crush on Drake, though he knows nothing can come of it because they’re both Daddies. But, when things go a little pear-shaped, Anson discovers that maybe he was wrong about that.

In fact, he discovers he was wrong about a lot of things.

For Drake Connors, inviting Anson to spend the holidays at his cabin was a friendly gesture. Sure, he’s got a crush on the other guy, but he’s hoping that spending some one-on-one time together will cure him of that. So, extending the invitation made sense to neither he nor Anson will be lonely for Christmas, and he’ll get rid of his silly crush. Easy, right?

Of course, that’s not how things pan out. Drake doesn’t know which one of them is more surprised when Anson turns out to not really be a Daddy after all…and, on top of that, they’re snowed in for Christmas!

Whatever will they do?

Anson’s Awakening is a super sweet, very low angst, incredibly fluffy Christmas age play novel featuring a first-time Little, a cinnamon roll Daddy, and a lot of sugar and steam. You will get cavities from this one.

This novel contains ABDL, a tiny bit of hurt/comfort, themes of self-doubt and an itsy, bitsy hint of minor miscommunication (but absolutely no breakups or arguing. It’s Christmas!)

Anson’s Awakening is part of the Daddy Kink Age Gap Facebook group collaboration with several of your favorite authors writing sweet and sexy Daddy stories you’re sure to love cuddling up with during the holidays

It has been awhile since I’ve read an age play book. I feel like the perfect one can be hard to find. Let me tell you that Anna did not disappoint with Ansons Awakening.

Drake and Anson have run in the same circle for a while now at the kink club they are both members of. I love that they were both going to be alone this Christmas so Drake invited Anson up to his cabin. I don’t want to give too much away because there would go the whole plot but let’s just say this book has all the sweetness I love from a Christmas book and age play, ABDL and the discovery of a new daddy/little dynamic.

Make sure to check this one out!

Oh how I love a super sweet Daddy & Little story and Anna Sparrows does them sooooo well!!!

I couldn’t wait to dive into this book and the possibility of seeing characters from the Littles & Lace series?? I was sold!!!

Anson and Drake are such a perfect match! Anson is a first time Little, having believed he was a daddy before. Drake is a typical Daddy, caring and looking for his perfect boy.

Add in a little car accident, a Daddy to the rescue, a snowed in cabin and a mixed up bag and you have a perfect Daddy/Little story!!

Anson and Drake are both Daddies and one day they both realize Anson is a Little. A Little who Drake wants as his. It's a great idea for a book, an angle I've never read before.! I loved everything about this book, the guys, the loving care and attention. This was the sweetest book with touches of innocence and awakening, along with the spiciest Doctor's exam. It was short but oh, so sweet, adorable and another one of my new favorite's of Anna's.

Anson's Awakening is part of the multi author DKAG Christmas Daddies series. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the rest of the series. This is the story of Anson and Drake. Anson decides to spend the Christmas holiday with his friend and fellow Daddy. During the trip Anson finds out he's not really a daddy but a little. This was such a wonderful story of finding out who you really are. I loved watching these two experience being daddy and little together. I really loved all the characters in the story. This was just an amazing story. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Looking for a cute DDlb Christmas story then you have to pick this book up. Poor Anson is convinced he is a daddy. But when things don’t go as planned he is discovering he might be wrong about himself.

The good
    + Good communication and honesty
+ safewording when he felt uncomfortable. They resolved that perfectly
+ The mention of Drake's stretch marks
+ The careful way they discussed everything, from their limits to their sexual preferences and any changes in those preferences throughout their relationship
+ Anson feeling completely comfortable with Drake right from the start
    + The mutual respect
    + Vince. He's a good friend
+ The mutual decision to see whether they were compatible for the long term, instead of agreeing on a fling
+ Anson mentioning his sensory issues, and Drake keeping it in mind later on

The neutral
o This one is on me, because there was a clear note for ABDL and wetting, but I was a bit surprised by the 'peeing on demand'. The scene was funny, though
o I have looked everywhere, and I can't find what DKAG in the multi-author series name means

The bad
    - Breaking the fourth wall. It's a personal preference, but I don't want to be 'involved' in the story. So Anson (or the author?) asking me "You hear that?" really jolts me out of the story

Quotes
"Maybe that's 'cause I want my cranky Daddy bear to spank me."
"That's unfair. I'm going to be half hard for the entire drive back now."
"Only half? I should be worth a full erection, Daddy."
    "God, give me strength."
"Viagra works better than prayers. I should know; I'm a doctor."

Let's be honest here – Drake is going to have his hands full with a boy like Anson. Someone with hardly any impulse control and a tendency to jump in headfirst, who wishes to have his Daddy handle the consequences take care of him. But they are definitely made for each other and I thought this book delivered exactly what was promised. I would absolutely recommend this if you're looking for a low angst instalove story.

If you're looking for a holiday romance that is filled with all of the fluff and spice, and will leave you grinning from ear to ear, Anson's Awakening: An M/M Christmas Daddy Romance is the perfect pick!

Anson will resonate with anyone who has ever tried to force themselves to be who they thought they were expected to be. His journey from discontent Daddy to self-assured Little is sweet. But it's the way the author has taken such care with writing his vulnerability that is completely relatable. Then there's Drake who is the perfect cinnamon-roll Daddy, who radiates patience, kindness and genuine affection for Anson, even while he battles his own insecurities. His navigation of his own feelings while making sure Anson has a safe space to explore his needs is actually swoon-worthy. And their chemistry is steamy and tender, and will melt your heart.

Getting snowed in at Drake's remote cabin adds the forced proximity that gives the story the perfect amount of tension and charm, and provides the perfect backdrop for a sweet holiday love story. Whether it's fireside chats or moments of age play, the author manages to capture the magic of the season while reminding us that it's not about the presents or the decorations.

Themes of self-doubt and identity struggles are handled with a light-touch that leaves the story low-angst and uplifting. And did I mention the fluff?? The sweetness is cavity-inducing, but it's a sugar rush in the best way. This book was an absolute joy to read - the perfect holiday romance wrapped up in a fluffy, feel-good package that feels like the literary equivalent of a cozy blanket on a snowy winter morning.

This was a sweet story as Anson discovered that he had it all wrong and that Drake was the perfect person to help him - some minor angst as Anson worked through his feelings and lots of emotions from both of them. This was an MM story with a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

This is a really sweet story about Anson, who believes he is a Daddy, but he just isn’t compatible with his boys, until he makes a huge discovery while visiting with a friend on Christmas Eve-Eve —- he is really a Little! The way he makes this discovery is adorable, in more ways than one, as he stumbles into the realization thanks to a snowstorm, a mix-up with a duffle bag, and a wonderful Daddy named Drake. As he has a chance to explore this new side of himself, confident that Drake will take care of him, he is shocked to find out how right this feels, not at all how he felt when he thought he was a Daddy. Drake is there to give him whatever he needs, whether in Little space or Big. As the feels grow so much in such a short time, both men question if things are moving too fast too soon, but when it feels so right, they just go for it, trusting they have found the right person to fulfill their needs.

Great characters who click from the moment it is obvious that Anson is not what he thinks, admitting an attraction from previous meetings that they ignored thinking they were both Daddies, and escalating to thoughts of full time togetherness very quickly. Very low angst with spicy se*y times and lots of Little time to let Anson release the pressures from his job when Big, on their way to a future HEA. A relatively short, easy read with a holiday theme to really get in the mood.

I received an ARC from the author and this is my voluntary review.

This book was so adorable and so sweet. It is a holiday read for sure as it is around Christmas time in the story. Two guys who have crushes on each other but are also two daddies or so one of them thought they were a daddy.

When Anson comes to realization that he isn't the daddy he thought he was and discovers that he is an actual little, he is beside himself. The first person he calls is his best friend and when his best friends finds out who Anson is with, he has no choice but to hand the phone over to Drake so he can talk. Drake can't help but love the fact that Anson is a little. He always thought he was but he didn't want to say as he could've been wrong. He cherishes that Anson wants to explore his little side with him as a daddy and now he must make sure he makes it the best experience for him.

When both of them explore more together, the more feelings get involved and they have some decisions to make together. These two are just so adorable together. They both work well together and want to make sure they are the best for each other.

I look forward to more from the author and so excited that she came out with this book. I haven't come across a story written by Anna that I haven't disliked yet.

I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.

Loved this book, the characters had their own personalities and were a joy to read.
Anson has been trying his hand at being a daddy but the joyful feeling everyone else feels when they take the responsibilities from their boy didn’t occur with Anson.
When a little crash in the car on the way up to a cabin with another daddy, leads to grabbing the wrong bag and being stuck with a load of “little” clothes and items, Anson tries them on and realises what’s been wrong this whole time.
Drake who’s become a bit of a loner invites Anson to his cabin as a friendly way of spending the holiday, with Anson jumping into the deep end of his little tendencies, he welcomes the changes and their bond changes and strengthens.
Two men, who had crushes on each other find what they need and want in each other. Beautiful story, plenty of the daddy/little dynamic and love the abdl, all aspects were amazing

A sweet book with two wonderful MC's who start as friends and end up so much more.
Anson and Drake are both Daddies who have been secretly crushing on each other and supressing those feelings. However, a mishap leads to Anson discovering he is actually a Little and being true to himself, he throws himself into this aspect full steam ahead. As he is discovering what he likes, he realizes that he's had these traits all along and just never paid attention. Drake, being the awesome Daddy he is, lets Anson take all the time he needs for self discovery, and admonishes Anson when he puts himself down for not realizing sooner that he is Little.
Their chemistry is undeniable, and while their connection is super fast, it feels so genuine and makes the love they feel completely believable.

This book was absolutely adorable, so sweet and festive and just pure sunshine. I love Christmas books where the characters are snowed in, it makes everything more fun and cozy. I also like it when two characters that have known each other for a while and have secret crushes finally admit their feelings. And I really really love reading about people discovering new things about themselves. This book had so many things I enjoy and the author wrote everything so beautifully. I had a blast. I loved Anson's personality, I connected with him right away, and Drake was so cuddly and caring. I adored them together and their chemistry was chef's kiss. Their story gave me joy and put a smile on my face. I can see myself rereading this book every Christmas.

I just love the way Anna writes her Daddy/Little storylines. This was just such an emotional, sweet, caring read. I loved how Anson thought he was a Daddy/Master but after getting stranded with his Daddy friend Drake has to resort to wearing his last littles clothes and has an enlightening realisation about himself! The author excelled with Anson's thoughts and feelings which made us fully understand all that he was going through and route for him all the way. Of course his journey is helped by having a perfect Daddy on hand to guide him! Throw in a few past characters who we love and for me it was just brilliant, I absolutely loved it!

A perfect sweet, fluffy, heartwarming holiday read.

I loved Anson's Awakening, it made me so happy reading it, part of the storyline is pretty unique, I don't think I have ever read a story quite like this before where a Daddy discovers he isn't a Daddy at all and could in fact be a Little. The way it came about was so natural (yet hilarious).

I think Anson and Drake are made for each other and exactly what the other was looking for, even if they don't know that to start with. There is sweetness, caring, attention, support, awakening, spice and hilarity - the perfect combination.

And having a quick re-visit with a couple from the Littles & Lace series, icing on the top.

I read an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love this authors writing style and unlock age play, daddy/boy, daddy little stories and this one touched me hugely. I was glued from the first chapter and could not put it down. Anson and Drake are such a cute couple. They agree to spend Christmas together as they are both alone and feeling grinchy. Even though they have a crush on each other the my are both daddies and think that they cannot tell the other how they feel. But it turns out that Anson is not feeling Daddy vibes, and when the wrong bag is bought in from his car what he has to wear is not what he was expecting and has in rethinking what it is he wants. It is beautifully written with a fantastic storyline, cuteness overload, romance and steam. An absolute joy to read I loved it!!

"Anson's Awakening" is a sweet story of a man discovering his Little side and the Daddy who help him. I say that but it really is more that they help each other and give each other the things they need. Anson and Drake have a fast, whirlwind of a beginning, it almost seems too fast, but at the same time people move at their own pace and they just happen to move fast and it works for them. They are adorable together and I want to see them in the future. It was great to see characters from previous books and stories and I hope we keep getting to visit the all the Daddies and Littles we know and get to meet many more.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

An adorably sweet holiday romance that starts with a twist on the snowed in together trope by pairing two Daddies together… only one isn’t quite the daddy he thought he was.

I loved Anson being mistaken about where he may fit into the kink spectrum and having an awakening while trapped with his crush, and turns out, the daddy of his dreams.

This has everything you want for a quick, cozy, sweet with heat, Christmas read. If you love DDlb age play romances, kink awakenings, snowed in together, insta love, fluff, and a boy who likes to play doctor (and is one irl) then you’ll love this.

Anson and drake were wonderful together! I loved the connection and chemistry between these two. Anson knew that he was drawn to the kick community but it wasn’t until he was with his crush in had to were little clothes that he finally realized his true calling in the community. I loved the acceptance and openness that these two had with each other and the willingness to be open and upfront. These two are really sweet yet steamy together. I can’t wait to see more from this world soon from Anna.

So stinking sweet!

“just working out the fundamental basics of my identity has made me feel complete in a way I can’t explain… I feel carefree, liberated, and cherished.”

Sweet Anson is so lost and confused. Thankfully, he gets snowed in at a cabin with Daddy Drake, who is happy to let Anson safely explore his identity. These two are absolutely precious (and hot) together. I loved how Anson was able to let himself go, and explore his Little side. A wonderful, sweet shorter story; I loved it!

Author Anna Sparrows has become an automatic buy for me, and she has crafted another fine book.
This story includes many ABDL kinks
that I have longed to read in a story.
I love them all, along with their fully detailed descriptions.
The main characters, Anson and Drake, are perfect for each other in this sweet and spicy romance. They work out who they truly are, as they grow in their love for each other.
I highly recommend this age play, friends to lovers romantic story!

I really enjoyed this romantic, festive, spicy-sweet love story! The self-discovery journey for Anson was endearing and fascinating to experience with him. Theirs was a whirlwind romance, but it totally worked for them, and they definitely had communication down. The natural evolution of their relationship, dynamic, and self-awareness flowed beautifully. These two were great together, and the various kink was fun too

Sweet, quick, cute, age play, MM holidays story.
Drake, a Daddy, invites Anson a fellow Daddy, to his cabin to spend Christmas as they are both lonely. But as they are snowed in, Anson discovers that he’s a Little, and Drake is more than willing to guide Anson in his new discovery, as he has always been attracted to him.

Holy cow, this was cute! I loved this take on Daddy/little romance, that started out as two daddies with mutual crushes. I loved how low stress Anson was about discovering his Little side and it was lovely how much trust he and Drake had in each other. I really love how this author writes Daddy romances, with excellent characters, loads of sweetness, and some excellent steam. This was a joy to read.

I loved this book!
I knew it was a quick holiday read but I didn’t expect everyone to be so on board from the get go of Anson maybe not being a daddy after all. I love how they just jumped right in and went with it. Too many times in stories you see so much questioning and hesitation but I loved how they just went with what felt natural.
I really enjoyed seeing their HEA and everything come together!

Fluffy fluffy fluff. Tooth rotting sweetness. Exactly the kind of Christmas novella I needed! While this is the author’s addition to the DKAG books, it’s also the start of a new series for her. At this point, I’d read Anna’s shopping list, so you know I’m gonna be front of the line for book 2!

Thank you Anna for the ARC.

Grumpy Daddy Drake and Sunshine Anson together

Anson Awakes himself and Daddy Drake. It was very enjoyable reading as Anson discovered that he was a boy instead of a Daddy and discovered that with Lumbersnachs Brake even better. Drake let Anson discover what and how he wants to be in age play, and both men find love.
