It was a good read for someone like me who cares about Marquette basketball, but doesn't really know much about the history of it.

Not perfectly written, but still a good book.

This brought a flood of happy memories for a Class of '69 Marquette Warrior. It has a narrow scope of interest but if you recall college basketball in the late '60's and '70's, don't miss it. It's well written and I found myself reading it for 2 or 3 hours at a time. And it's very well researched. There are interesting contributions from luminary opponent coaches such as John Wooden and Bobby Knight plus from inside the Jesuit hallways, the kitchens of McGuire's star recruits and the streets and blacktop courts of NYC.
