Three hours after escaping my family, I get saved by a sexy fireman.
My car broke down outside Owl Creek on the hottest day of the year. With no cell service, I walk into town for a tow, only to be rescued by the local Fire Chief. I thought it was hot outside, but it was scorching in the cab of his truck...with the AC blasting.
Cole Barone is all muscle and scruff and saves people for a living. What's sexier than that? And when my bad day becomes my worst nightmare, Cole rescues me— again. Now we're practically roommates, and the sparks are flying.
It's hard to resist him when he's everything I never thought I could have. But if I stay in Owl Creek, I'm setting fire to everything I've worked for. Do I chase my dreams or give it all up for the only man who has ever been good to me?
Renee left Downsville to find her chance at a singing career. Leaving her family and everything that was suffocating her. On her way going through Owl Creek, her Mustang broke down. So she started walking to town to see if she could get a tow truck. This is when she meets Cole, the Fire Chief of Owl Creek. He helped her out by bringing her to the garage and had his brother tow in the truck. There's no motel or B and B for her to stay, so he offered her the apartment over his garage. She's great full of his offer. She sings and is also a carpenter. Cole's mom offers her a job to help prepare for the Boat Festival. Renee didn't expect the warmth and exceptance by Cole and his family. She doesn't want to get too close because she knows she is leaving to go to CA for her singing career. But she hasn't had this much love and carrying since her mom died. She's falling for Cole and doesn't know how to handle these feelings. She does get a chance to sing and play guitar in a local band. She goes on tour with them. She realized how much she really wants to create a life with Cole in Owl Creek. She refused to see her dream of becoming a being a singer but on her terms. Cole already knew he loved her and wanted to be in her life forever. Great story by Lisbet North
When Renee's car breaks down a few hours into the journey towards her fresh start the thought of two weeks in a small town like the one she's just left behind is hard to face. That is until she's rescued by the town's fire chief, Cole, and he offers her a place to stay, someone to make her feel cherished, cared for and wanted. Renée has a dream of making music, Cole understands her dream and doesn't want to be something she regrets so he shows her how he feels without crossing a line, until he finally lets her through his barriers, and maybe she also lets her fall too This is such a beautiful read, a heartwarming, small town romance.

Renee is on her way to LA to chase her dreams as a singer after sacrificing years of her life to her family. Unfortunately (or fortunately), her car breaks down at Owl Creek and she ends up meeting Cole, the town’s fire station chief.
He feeds her and provides her with a place to stay while waiting for her car to be repaired within the next two weeks. Though there is mutual attraction, Cole holds back as he does not want to hold her back from her dreams. Renee is also hovering between following her dreams or staying with Cole.
The book is a pretty quick read and the romance is sweet with little angst. I loved the addition of Zoe, Renee’s best friend, and I foresee another book focusing on her. The ending is perfect for our sweet couple and readers will not regret reading this!
Renee is escaping from her over burdened life and heading to LA to try it out as a singer. When her car breaks down outside of Owl Creek, the fire chief Cole rescues her and lets her stay in the apartment over his garage. Renee falls in love with the life and people in the small town but refuses to give up on her dream. Can Cole convince her to give him a chance and find away to make all her dreams come true? I really enjoyed this story and Renee and Cole. They have great chemistry and the story line flows nicely.

Renee has dreams, she is leaving her home for a fresh start. Her dreams are to make music and LA is her destination. But car troubles leave her not far from home, in yet another small town. Owl Creek fire chief rescues her and gives her a roof. Owl Creek is not like her home and she is happy here, but the dream simmers. Cole understands dreams, he does not want to get in her way. Still he needs to show her he cares.
A quick afternoon escape read, with plenty of chemistry and storyline.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review
Wildfire was such a cute and quick read. Renee is running from her past in order to live her dreams by following on her mother's footsteps, when her car breaks down in the middle of nowhere the firefighter chief takes her in while she waits for her car to get fix, gets her a job with his mother and slowly stars to fall in love with her. Cole was already left burned once from his last relationship and is ready to get burned again even though Renee will only be staying in Owl Creek for only a few weeks.
What a beautiful blend of emotions as Renee must contend with her dreams or her heart's desire for Cole. On her way to make it big in LA her car breaks down in the small town of Owl Creek where a decision must be made. This story was steamy and absolutely engaging from the start. I really loved how considerate Cole was towards Renee, it really added to his character in a great way.

A STEAMY and PASSIONATE love story that will bring Renee and Cole together due to unforeseen circumstances. This book has just the right amount of STEAM, ROMANCE and SPICE that leads you to one GREAT book.
Most of us do not make it but these 2 work towards it constantly. Add that to good communication skills in the long run, you have a couple doing it right.
