Struggling to discern God's call is not uncommon. Many people wrestle with understanding what God has planned for them. Here I Am solves part of the mystery by distinguishing between one's shared vocation and particular life stations. Stations include jobs, situations, and relationships, and they change often. But vocation, for Christians especially, remains the same-to apply faith as caretakers of God's world.
Here I Am explains how to be caring followers of Jesus in every station of life. It offers practical ways to strive for excellence, celebrate leisure, nurture community, and cultivate a legacy. This book is for students, those seeking satisfaction in their work, and anyone seeking a renewed sense of God's call. They will discover how to care about and for the world, participating in God's renewal of all things.

“What on earth should I be doing?” is the question asked in the subtitle of Here I Am by Quentin Schultze. The same question echoes through the minds of college seniors, nearing graduation, with the looming unknowns of the future. Throughout Here I Am, Schultze addresses purpose from a Christian perspective. He engages with ideas of calling, stewardship of gifts, and resting in God’s grace. Schultze writes to encourage the believer, reminding each person that the greatest calling is faithfully following Christ, and everything else will follow.
pretty good. like with a lot of these types of books, there are some gems. the whole "here i am" aspect is pretty smart. It's what time and time again folks in the bible tell god when he's looking for them. but that goes a bit farther than telling god what your location is, as if he doesn't know. it's more about "i am ready." neat concept, and a neat prayer.
This book inspired me to use the many stations in life as vehicles for ministry inside and outside community. I recommend this book highly for those who want to keep serving others no matter how old we are.
