After being cheated on and left heartbroken, Asya vows to focus on and grow her business. When she opened her storefront, she finally felt as if she had achieved one of her lifelong dreams. One late-night, last-minute customer changes Asya’s life and has her revisiting things she swore off. Reminding her that there is more to life than work, Asya finds herself falling for her one-time customer faster than she could stop herself. Will Asya get a second chance at love, or will she fall flat on her face again?
Losing his mother was something Omari never imagined happening, but when it did, it showed him the true colors of those closest to him. Feeling betrayed by a single act, Omari decides that it’s best to let go of the relationship he held on to and start his journey to healing. When he meets Asya and she comes through for him in the biggest way, Omari finds himself interested in the mystery woman.
After getting to know each other, Asya and Omari both feel they are ready to take the next step, but Asya doesn’t realize just how deep Omari is into the streets. Asya finds herself questioning if that’s something she wants to deal with, while Omari is wondering if he should let her go before it’s too late. When tragedy strikes, Omari feels it may already be too late, but only time will tell.
Good read. I thought it was a standalone until the last 5% of the story 😩 Asya and Bree were dope besties. It’s funny how Asya doesn’t like drama but has 3 situations coming at her out of the blue not counting crazy Shayla. Omari and Asya pair well together. Can’t wait for part 2!
Now we all know who is behind this, she didn't do right when she had the man now that he moved on she going crazy to get him back. His mom died and she was to busy partying to help her man.Now she doesn't have him or her so called best friend.
This was a great second chance love story! I did not expect this cliff hanger! Omg!!!! I can’t wait to dive into the next book! I’m literally sitting in the edge of my seat in anticipation at what’s to come!
People when I say messy messy that's just what this book is book two can't come quick enough. I know one thang Sharks most definitely need to get hers she doing too much
Omari cannot catch a break, why do I feel like either Shayla, Romelo, Jabari, or Eric might have been the ones to cause Aysa's accident? I need part two like yesterday.
Ahhhh where is part 2? I’ve got to know what’s going on? If my theory is right or not. I’m sick of Shayla delusional behind! Like girlll it’s time for a restraining order!
I love the way it started with them starting off as friends and building before jumping into anything. Shayla And Jabari need to mind the business that pays them and take the L. Looking forward to the next part.
Where the rest of the book but for real I read this in one day that's how good it is need part 2 like now come on how long I got to wait I wish I could give you more stars because 5 it not enough Great Job with this one but I still need part 2
Omari is catching it from the front to the back!!!!…I was glad he cut his ex off because her behavior was about as selfish could be!!!… Shayla is a nut truly ready to crack and she is playing with FIYA and is bound to get burned!!!..The fact that she is angry at everyone about her failed relationship speaks volumes!!!… Jabari definitely need to take several seats back!!!…The fact that Asya has ignored him and not paying him no attn and think she wants him after saying no is insane!!!… Asya has stalkers on every corner, now ago is responsible for her accident!!!… I hope Omari find out who is messing with them and injured Duke!!!..
Give readers the choice to invest in your story by giving accurate information. The story ends in a major cliffhanger. Other readers do not comment on that fact; they instead ask for Part 2. Part 2 does not always equate cliffhanger. There were some sentence structure issues and timing issues - at one point Omari states it’s been almost a year since he met Asya then later it’s coming up on Mom’s 6 month anniversary - he met Asya the day before the funeral. The read was decent Storyline 4⭐️s Syntax 2⭐️s Cliffhanger (no warning from the author) 1⭐️
OMARI DID THE RIGHT THING BY IGNORING SHAYLA HE BEEN DOING EVERYTHING FOR HER. THE MOMENT HIS MOM DIES FROM A BATTLE OF CANCER AND HE ASKED HER FOR SOME HELP FOR HIS MOM FUNERAL SHE WANNA OUT AT THE CLUB SHAKING HER FUNKY ASS: SHE TOLD HIM THAT SHE WAS PREGNANT THEY WAS NO LONGER A COUPLE AND TO LET HIM KNOW WHEN IS THE DOCTOR VISIT AND HE WILL BE THERE. SHE AIN’T LET HIM KNOW ABOUT A DOCTOR APPOINTMENT SO THAT LETS ME KNOW SHE AIN’T PREGNANT SHE LONGLY SAID TO STILL BE TOGETHER.
Leondra LaRae, when I tell you I love these characters and supporting characters. Even the villains are giving all kinds of correct vibes, showing just how deranged they are. I won't say much, but please read this book. It's a bit crazy and to me, it's interesting to see who's gonna win🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
This book was ok. Didn’t really catch my interest, but I tried to see it through. Not even realizing that this was a two part book and she hasn’t mentioned anything about releasing the part 2, I realize that I wasted my time on reading this. I probably won’t be reading any more of her books as she’s been realizing other books but hasn’t finished this one up
Omggg, that cliffhanger was crazy! This was my first read by this author, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I love Asya and Omari together, and I'm excited for book 2. My heart is breaking so bad for Omari. Great read all the way through.
Just finished reading a book that left me hanging like a piñata at a kids' party 1 mean, come on author, you can't just leave me with all these unanswered questions and expect me to function without book two!
