This book is definitely not a love story, instead, it plunges readers into a rollercoaster of infidelity, drama, and betrayal. The narrative picks up where the first book left off, diving deeper into the chaotic lives of Malaika and Kenji.

Malaika Thompson-Braxton and Kenji Nakamura are two of the most narcissistic and self-serving characters I've encountered in a while. Their relentless pursuit of personal gain wreaks havoc on everyone around them, making for a compelling yet unsettling read. The author portrays their toxic dynamics, keeping readers hooked with each twist and turn.

The story's strength lies in its ability to evoke strong emotions. Despite the characters' unlikeable traits, their complex personalities and the high-stakes drama make it impossible to look away. The plot is a whirlwind of deceit and manipulation, ensuring that readers are constantly on edge.

The author skillfully depicts their toxic relationship, ensnaring readers with every unexpected development.

Wow..

This was a sharp left turn from the first book!! I was hoping for a happily ever after but this was satisfying as well! Great job!!
