Rayelle didn't think her life could get any worse after she was kidnapped and then abducted by aliens. When her alien abductors are slaughtered by a black-armored enemy, she believes her luck has soured even further. That doesn't mean she's going to go down without a fight, though.
Tai'dqei never anticipated finding a human when he agreed to tracking and subduing a small group of smugglers. After he completes his mission, he notices another heat signature nearby. Following signature, he finds a human caged in the cargo hold.
Too bad when Tai'dqei frees Rayelle, she flings a cup at his face and runs, which triggers his most carnal of instincts. When sense cleaves through his brain, Tai'dqei realizes something is off with this human and he soon finds out she is not only physically displaced, but temporally misplaced.
The two struggle with misunderstandings, being pursued by enemy aliens, and more in this tale of one woman getting back to her home to her own planet and her own time.

Actual rating a 4.8. *I was provided and ARC of this book months ago, and lost it after the deluge of stuff your kindle days since then, got to finish it for Valentines Day.* This was a fascinating read, I am not a stranger to “monster” romances in the slightest, but the premise for this one is a little different than I’m used to. Rayelle the FMC, is an almost middle aged woman, with a POS ex husband that succeeded for a little bit in putting her in a bad situation. Rayelle is a strong independent human woman who will absolutely go down fighting and I love her for that. She’s spunky and exciting, even in the face of Danger.
Tai’dqei the poor sexy bastard that rescues her from her situation, feels the brunt of her anger and even though he’s a stone faced contract killer, he manages to be a cinnamon roll to this spunky sexy woman that makes him feel things he hasn’t felt in ages. I grew rather attached to the both of them honestly.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 complete stars is the ending. No spoilers, it was a fantastic time all around, while I little heart wrenching. Just wish ex husband had gotten a little more of what he should’ve had.
I’ll definitely buy a physical copy to go on my bookshelf and I’m about to peruse more of Eruden’s books.
Good story, decent plot and a healthy dose of spice🤭🌶
This was a fun interesting read, I've been in a bit of an Alien abduction romance streak lately and this stood out from alot of them, The FMC Rayelle is more mature in this, I don't think age was mentioned but she has teenage kids so late 30's early 40s sounds about right. Love it when the FMC isn't barely legal😆 The story is well written and thought out, some times it did feel alitle draged out on the internal emotional struggles and could have been more action but it made sense for the characters, it's a spicy slow burn. The MMC is very obviously inspired by the Predator but only visually, apart from a slight misunderstanding in the beginning and him being a bounty hunter/mercenary/assassin just all round space handy man 😅 the MMC seemes like a decent male, kind although due to language barrier and the misunderstanding FMC takes a long time to trust him. One dislike to mention, I am all for creative names but I for the life of me couldn't figure out how to pronounce the MMCs name Which is Tai'dqei So I just automaticly made it just Tai in my head. I wish the author included either a guide or perhaps sneak it in to the story as the heroine learns to say it, it just botherd me abit. The FMC Rayelle was ok, she was a bit stuborn and distrustfull for a while, but concidering what she went through was understandable, I just felt 'Tai' did prove himself trustworthy sooner than she accepted him, She was mostly smart and a survivor. There are some deep darker underlying themes check the Content Warning to be sure. Overall it was worth the read, and I was invested in the story early on. Overall 4 ⭐️ for originality, lgbtq+ representation, and for daring to give the MMC a less human apparence and not just, "super hot *random color* humanoid with horns" 😆 (iykyk) I wont spoil too much of the story I think its best left to explore for oneself. If this continued as a series i'd definitly stay with it, would love to delve into the stories of some of the othe human woman we get to meet.
