“But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.” - Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Fantastic bible study guide!!

This book provides a guide for spending a year in the Bible. With suggested readings for each day of the week, we embark on a journey of curiosity and contemplation, exploring the relevance of scripture in our lives. By the end, we will have read through and explored the entirety of the Bible together. Saying that, I choose to go at a faster pace, covering it in less than a year. The great thing about this book is that you can do it at a pace that suits you and your time.

This intricate narrative of the Bible, is full of joy—a joy born from understanding and insight. It is coupled with quiet moments of reflection, and prayers. May we find not only knowledge but also the wisdom that enriches our lives and the lives of those around us. Amen. 🙏🏼 🕊️ ❤️

Thanks be to God

A Beautiful Year in the Bible is more than just a study guide—it's a transformative journey through Scripture, crafted beautifully to encourage women to dive deeper into God’s Word. As someone who values structure in Bible study, I found the 52-week format to be perfect. Each week offers a fresh perspective, walking through various themes with clarity and grace.

One thing I want to mention as a standout about this book is the approachable tone of the book. The language is warm and inviting, which makes it easy to engage with, and the pacing of each week ensures that you’re not overwhelmed but consistently growing. It’s also a beautiful choice for group studies, as it invites open discussion and fellowship.

If you're looking for a Bible study guide that will keep you grounded and inspired throughout the year, this book is a fantastic choice. I am very excited to dive in and stay committed to God’s word. This book was gifted to me through Alabaster's Ambassador Program.

My first year ever reading through the whole Bible in a year without abandoning ship 🙌🏼 Loved the mix of Old and New Testament in each week of this study!

You can tell that it is written by AI, just like many of the reviews.
What a disappointment for those who are looking forward to digging in. I’m discouraged and will have to find something else to guide my morning Bible studies.

Loved this plan and the beautiful artwork that accompanied it. This is only the second time I’ve ever read through the Bible. Don’t know what it was about this, but the way they broke it up made it seem more manageable!

Beautiful binding and illustrations so, in that sense, the title is appropriate. However, this “bible study” is a missed opportunity to lead its women readers to the main idea of Scripture: Jesus Christ. The Bible is not simply a collections of morality tales designed to offer instruction for a way of living; it is Life and Truth. I did appreciate the prompts for life-application encouraging women to think outside of ourselves and live a life of service to the world. But, again, these actions are rooted in a knowledge of and a life of obedience to the call of Christ for believers to take the Gospel to the world. I am a wholehearted believer in reading the entire Bible across a year and have done it many times. The amount of spiritual wisdom gained, motivation for living a Godly life, and discipline of spending time with the God who made me cannot be overstated. There are other options for guidance in reading through the Bible that keep the focus on Jesus. This is not one of them.

This was the first time I read through the Bible in a year non-chronologically. I’m not sure that I liked it, and I think it might be because of this study. Each week was themed, and had seven days of scripture that revolved around that theme. Some weeks I enjoyed the theme. Other weeks the theme was a stretch.

A couple random thoughts:

It’s a 52 week study, not a 365 day one. So I finished on December 30th.

It felt pretty weird finishing my read through of the Bible with acts.

This is definitely a beautiful year in the Bible. The images in every section were stunning.

I’m like 90% sure there was the use of ai in writing or editing this. You can’t tell me there’s that many “delves” (and emdashes, but I, and others, actually use emdashes, so it’s not always a sign of ai) and claim it wasn’t aided by ai in someway.

I’m going back to chronologically reading the Bible.

This is my first time physically reading through the Bible in a year. Last year, I listened to it. I like how this divides it up but some days are pages of reading and some days are half pages. Overall, I enjoyed this one but I liked the one I did last year better.

Have always wanted to read the Bible completely but never knew how to accomplish it in a year. This book served the purpose beautifully! It gave me a plan of which books /chapters to read every single day and now I can say goal met!

I really enjoyed this plan. The only thing I would say is a “negative” is that it covers all of the Bible but 3 books. I would have loved to have read the whole Bible, even if that meant some of the “shorter” days had more on it to help get those 3 books in!

Do you need help slowing down and taking in the beauty of the Bible? In A Beautiful Year in the Bible, Alabaster presents a 52-week Bible study for women.

Fresh, Vibrant, Inspiring

The art in this devotional feels fresh, vibrant, and inspiring. Every week comes with a new page of full-color artwork by Rachel Yumi Chung. As a man, I enjoyed reading this and found it to be a wonderful and delightful experience.

What I most loved about this devotional is how it is intended to be used – by meditating weekly on several passages that reflect a certain topic. The readings span the entire Bible from the Old Testament and the New Testament. So you won’t just stay in the Psalms or the Gospels – but you’ll get into Deuteronomy and Judges, Hebrews and Revelation.

Consistent Rhythm, Deep Reflections

The weekly synopsis serves as a way to stay focused, and the reflections and prompts are rich – encouraging deep thinking. I was especially pleased to read on the complexity of relationships, steadfast faith in times of sorrow, how God values the weak and vulnerable, and compassion and second chances.

I believe that those who use this devotional will find a consistent rhythm and deeper reflections in God’s Word. You will have read through and explored the entire Bible. And you will be rewarded with a more intimate relationship with the Lord.

I received a complimentary copy of A Beautiful Year in the Bible through Alabaster’s Ambassador Program and this is my honest review.

What a truly beautiful bible study! This is a "soft-covered " 52 Week Bible study for women and I can't say enough about it!

Gorgeous, easy to hold, easy to read and understand... just enough bite - sized nuggets to get you immersed each week! Amazing artwork, that will transport you as you move thru your study. It makes you *want* to dive into your day. The artwork is a fantastic addition if like me, visuals make the world of difference!

While this is a "Year in the Bible" study, it is not a front to end reading of the Bible, which we do see quite often. This amazing study lays out a Topic, applicable reading plans, a synopsis of the topic, a narrative of what the topic means and how it applies to the Word and finally a set of reflective questions, hence where the Study comes into play.

So many fantastic Topics ranging from:

Hope and Patient Expectation
Extending Hospitality
Repairing Relationships
Embracing Life's Seasons

The list goes on with 52 Studies.

I highly recommend that you pick up a copy for yourself, along with the beautiful set of Alabaster Highlighters, set yourself up for the coming New Year. Make the commitment to your relationship with God and your Spirit! This study also makes for a wonderful Christmas gift as the holidays approach! Give a copy to everyone in your circle!

My copy was complimentary through the 'Alabaster's Ambassador Program'.

What can I say besides: “it’s literally beautiful!” I was so excited to get my hands on this Bible Study because I recently have been feeling stuck in my own personal Bible-reading - but (thank God!) not anymore! This study has been such a help. Also, as a designer, illustrator and writer my heart is so happy because this is hands-down THE most aesthetically pleasing Bible study I think I’ve ever gotten my hands on; vibrant illustrations, quality materials and clear clean page layouts. I literally feel like I’m the girl on the cover, in a breezy open spacious field with the Holy Spirit like a dove in my presence. Just straight peaceful. And on top of all that, the most impressive aspect of this 52-Week Bible Study is that IT’S NOT OVERWHELMING, DAUNTING or DISCOURAGING (all things I have felt attempting to complete previous Bible-In-A-Year plans). As a reader, this is the most notable takeaway for me. I thank God for Alabaster and the ‘beautiful’ creative minds behind this brand.

My review is 100% from the heart and 100% out of gratitude because my copy of the Bible Study was complimentary through Alabaster's Ambassador Program.

I recently read through "A Beautiful Year in the Bible," and I am thoroughly impressed. This Bible study offers a stunningly designed experience, rich with vibrant imagery that truly enhances the reading journey. It provides clear guidance on what to read each day and skillfully ties together various passages, making the overarching narrative of the Bible both accessible and engaging. The structured approach helps you navigate through the entire Bible over the course of a year, providing both depth and clarity. It’s a great Bible study tool for those who have a desire to read their Bibles but just don’t know where or how to start.

The beauty of this study is in its seamless integration of scripture with thoughtful reflection, making it an invaluable resource for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of the Bible. My copy of the book was provided complimentary through Alabaster’s Ambassador program, and I am grateful for the opportunity to explore such a thoughtfully crafted study.

As someone who has tried a lot of different Bible studies, I feel this one is unique. The layout and flow of this study is easy to use. There is a key Bible passage and reading for the week. Then you dig deeper into other passages throughout the week. I appreciate how they incorporated the Old and New Testament into the weekly readings. I’ve done Bible in a Year different ways, but this one isn’t like anything I’ve personally done. This makes me excited to get into God’s Word. I love how the devotional isn’t too long and most of the time is spent in the Bible. For me, I want my Bible Study time to be mostly in the Bible and this study seems to do that. If you’re looking for a way to connect the Old and New Testament, this is the study for you! I can’t wait to get started with this study. I was given this copy as part of Alabaster’s ambassador program.

I did enjoy reading through the Bible this year in a very different way. The Bible is divided into 7 sections (for example, the Gospels thru Acts, Genesis thru Deuteronomy, Psalms) and each day of the week is a reading from one of those sections. Because some sections are longer than others, a day’s reading may be anywhere from two to five or six chapters. Each week has a theme, which was to be explored as one read that week’s selections. It was interesting to see that actually work out in most instances. This layout may have been adapted from Grant Horner’s plan, which I tried one year and discarded, but this one worked much better for me.

I will not use this again, but will pass it on through probably our mission store.

3.5 ⭐️ I enjoyed using this guide to help me read the whole Bible in a year. The guide is organized by topics, so it doesn’t read chronologically. I found a couple of typos on some verses to read for the week, but if you’re following along, you should catch it because it’s not continuous from the prior week. I enjoyed the prompts and the study guide lessons. This Bible study also says it’s for women, but I absolutely think men can use it, too. Nothing is directed specifically towards women in any of the lessons.
I do not think this guide was worth the price. I thought it was pretty expensive to be honest. There are so many other ones out there that are cheaper and as good.
I enjoyed it overall and would definitely recommend.

I love this Bible study so much...it's the first one I've ever owned and I love the beautiful imagery and the layout. It's nice how each week has a different theme and corresponding passages to read in the Bible, rather than reading straight through. It keeps things interesting and helps me to make connections between the various books of the Bible. This book was gifted to me through the Alabaster Ambassador Program.

This Bible Study is beyond beautiful! I was so excited to get this because I love studies that have you reading through the entire Bible. This layout has 52 various topics with additional weekly readings that have you completing the entire Bible in those 52 weeks. It is filled with beautiful artwork, a space for checking off your readings, and space for answering the questions. This is a study I would recommend! This is a beautiful 52 week Bible study geared to 1. Read the Bible in a year and 2. Get you in the word daily. And it did both of those things, but I wouldn’t recommend it for someone that’s never read the Bible. It’s not a chronological study and jumps around every week, so by the time you get back to what you were reading the previous week, you have to refresh to understand where you are. I think something like the Bible Recap that starts at the beginning and takes you all the way through in order (and has a podcast to help you understand what you’ve just read) is the place to start! Then this study would be a great second time around.

This helped me to break Scripture into manageable chunks so that I could say I read the whole thing! It kept me accountable and was an engaging way to learn about the passages. Some passages were longer than others, so it didn't feel consistent, and sometimes the themes presented were (as another reviewer put it) "a stretch." Still, it was a nice guide to help me accomplish something that I've wanted to do for a while now.

This is one of the most beautiful bible studies I have seen! Not only is it just visually stunning, I also love the way that the weekly studies are broken down into topics about God. It makes the whole Bible come together so beautifully. I cannot wait to gift this to others in my life as well. What a beautiful and amazing stufy for Christian women.

First time reading The Bible as an adult. The book is beautiful, but the questions about the reading passages can be answered without reading the passages. I felt confused after reading certain passages and couldn’t get answers. I wouldn’t recommend for a first time reader. You definitely need a strong base knowledge.

It took you through the bible in 52 weeks but I really didn’t care for the way it jumped around; there was really no cohesion between each days readings. Some of the devotions at the beginning of each week were very good. I don’t regret doing this study but would not be interested in doing a similar one. It’s not a bad study but just was not one of my favorites.
