This was an incredible ending to Harlowe’s story. I just love K.J. Johnson’s writing style. It’s full of action, great banter, romance, spice, and it’s funny in all the right places. Fast paced without being rushed. Moving, and descriptive, but without being overdone. I can’t share enough praise.
The entire series was so good. I will scream and shout from the rooftops to get everyone to read this!
Can’t wait for Emmerson’s story!

ARC
This series has just gotten better and better! The evolution of the characters from book 1 to 3 has been so, so good! I had to take a moment before diving into the last 15 or so chapters because I didn’t want the story to end. This is one of those book series that will live rent free in my mind for years to come. I loved it so much and I’m sad it’s over!
Highlights
- soooo much action! This one is so fast paced and a real roller coaster! I loved every second of it!
- the dragons! They were a much bigger presence in this one and it was so great to see them getting their moment.
- the spice 🌶️ obviously!
- the sweet moments between the main couple. I loved seeing how their relationship evolved.
- Emmerson! She’s as sarcastic as ever. (Please be my ride or die 😂)!
Lowlights:
- nothing! It was fantastic! Go read it!
This author is a new auto buy for me. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
Now I’m going to go mourn the loss of fictional characters… or maybe I’ll just start it again 🤔

I can’t believe Harlowe and Silas’s story has come to an end! I’ve loved these characters, pictured myself as part of the Cathal and yearned to be in their world more times than I can count.
Harlowe’s growth, finding her strength and the ability to master any challenge is inspiring in so many ways. She never let fear stop her, and knew when it was time to lean on her dragons and her friends.
Silas did what I thought was impossible for him. He trusted others and was so raw and real and emotional with Harlowe and the Cathal. He made me cry multiple times.
The action packed battle scenes and images of war were so well written, I felt like I was right there on the battlefield with them.
What an incredible way to finish out this story. I hope I get more of this world soon!

Read, read, read!
This series had a bit of everything your heart could desire if you’re into the Romantasy genre like me. I loved the fact I could binge read all 3 books one after the other.

What follows is Harlowe’s journey into adventure and intrigue where she finds herself discovering a multitude of hidden secrets and events that leads her to her ultimate destiny.
I loved the chemistry between Harlowe and Silas. Harlowe is feisty, she is strong, she is absolutely not afraid to air her opinions. Silas has to have one of the dirtiest mouths ever and I absolutely loved it!
I loved the side characters, the chemistry between Em and Cillian is hawt! Can’t wait for the next book.

A fitting conclusion to this series
The characters are likeable and relatable, Harlowes journey has come to an end, and she has survived so much in fighting for her freedom and the realm. Silas is a fitting partner, protective and loyal, and her best friend is amazing. Emerson, her soul sister, is funny, has great comebacks, and is one of my favourites. She is who you would want at your side through thick and thin. The dragons were epic, their interactions and dialogue with Harlowe, amusing at times and fiercely devoted to her. Despite all the constant sexual escapades, I enjoyed this series as the story kept me reading the books. I like reading stories about dragons, and this one did not disappoint.

Maaannnn this book had me in a chokehold and the anticipation of how the battle was going to end was killing me!! The fact that the author murdered my shadow daddy Silas had me SOBBING with Harlowe! I could see it all playing out perfectly in my head and could FEEL Harlowes pain at the loss of Silas. But then she brought Silas back so I forgive the author for the temporary heartbreak. Lol. She described all the characters and settings in such a way that I was THERE with them along for the ride.
Her growth as a writer from the first book to now is incredible! And I can’t wait to continue to follow her on her writing journey! 10/10 recommend all 3 books in the fire and flame series!

Talk about an epic third instalment to this awesome romantasy series!
The action was non-stop, and KJ never fails to keep me on my toes. I never know what's going to happen next! The character growth between the three books is great, I love to see how their relationships grow and evolve along with the story. Silas is just delicious, and the spice is, as usual, hot enough to rival the dragon fire!
I'm excited to see what comes next for K.J.!

Wow! What a ride! This series was awesome. I loved the introduction of even more dragons, and the build up to the final battle was done so well and it was such an intense few chapters. This one was action packed from beginning to end. The character development was so good, and I loved that Silas FINALLY got what Harlowe needed all along. The sass, as always was a highlight! Sarcastic dragons... yes please! I can't wait to see what this author has in store next!

So, this series is just so good! I loved book 3 just as much as book 2 and 1. The characters were given so much detail into their personalities that I feel we can connect to them. They feel like people over just book characters. I really enjoyed this book. I was so excited to finish it but also didn’t want it to end because it was just that good. 10/10 totally recommend.

Okay, there was a part in the beginning that felt very repetitive from the previous books. But the ending was amazing!

Wow! What an end to an amazing trilogy. I admit, in book one I wasn't a fan of Silas, but by the end of this one, he is one of my favourite characters, along with Harlowe, and Emmerson. Don't want to spoil anything, so keeping thing vague, but this ended perfectly, and I cried my way through the last few chapters.
