About the author

It all started one day in March of 2018. I was bored. There was nothing to watch on television. And the moment of silence prompted a memory. A flashback to a time I wrote movies in a notebook. Small scenes jotted down for no particular reason. Something compelled me to make a move. I jumped up and ran to my computer, anxious to tell a story of which I could see clearly. The scenes of my cleverly crafted idea so wildly vivid. A face. A name. And twisted plots that would rival any movie.

I began typing. The keystrokes were fervent. Soon one sentence gave way to twenty. One hundred words grew to seventeen thousand. And before I knew it, I had a short story. Proof that anything is possible. So, you might ask if I always wanted to be a writer? Was it somewhere in the back of my mind? No! It wasn’t. But I knew I was creative. And I knew I could tell a story. The rest is history. Now I can say I wrote a book that became a best seller. Downloaded for many book lovers to read and enjoy. And the journey is still fresh. There is so much more to write. I am just getting started!

Be careful who you swipe with on the dating apps. This book was action packed full of drama and secrets. Definitely give this one a listen.

I really wanted to rate this higher but it didn't improve the further I read. It was well written. I didn't like the fact that there was a lot of telling and not a lot of showing. I didn't connect with any of the characters at all. I liked the suspense but it was poorly plotted and just made zero sense. Great plot just poorly executed. Well-written enough to get to the end but way too unrealistic and rushed. Too many plot holes. Such a shame.

for example, we were told Knight was a musician living off royalties. Next minute he's a hitman. We follow Knight and Darnel discuss taking out his baby mom and about to be framed for it. Then suddenly Dante pops out of nowhere. It felt like the author was making this story up as she went along lol 🤦🏾‍♀️

There better be a part 2 or imma be pissed!! How in the hell knight lived with 2 gun shot wounds but Dante didn't? You mean to tell me knight did all of that, claiming he fell in love but really didn't? I got questions! Why take that route to get close to his target? That's just sick. He was having sex with that girl and all. And he's a pedophile! This nigga knocked up 2 16 year olds!! What happened to their cases? Man it better be a part 2. Trifling ass Eva needs to get what she deserves. She's a fucked up mom. What happened to Thea? Is Eva and Walter still together? Where's Darren?

Twisted

I never expected this tale to go as deep as it did. It was slow at first like they were going slow in the new found “get to know me” stage of a internet dating game. It was emotionally exhausting even had me angry and ready to fight. All I could think about was men continuously use women for so many of the wrong reasons and how we want the fairytale so bad we fall so damn hard. This was sick asf and left a bitter taste in my mouth. And I loved it 🫢🌹

decent

That was pretty decentl. I say decent because it kept me reading to the end but there were some parts that did add up. Sharla acted like she was 18 instead of 31 and as if she’d been through things. Also, the timeline of her parent’s relationship was confusing. It didn’t not start getting suspenseful until a little past halfway through and there is at least 1 loose end. Darren and his wife. Does that mean there will be a part 2????

It started off well. I enjoyed the flow, the characters and storyline. Then I began noticing several aggravating typos throughout. The ending meant to be a "shocker" seemed rushed and was all over the place. Things weren't making sense. That kind of upset me. It moved from what could have been a good book to a "what was that?"

If a master manipulator was a person it definitely would be Knight and Shining Amor smh and even after all that he still lied to Eva at the end

Mind blowing plot twist ! I love Sharla but she made me soooo mad every time. Nothing about the male characters shocked me boys will be boys right 🙄 but Eva ooohhh Eva … you know what I take it back everybody made me mad 😂 it’s still a great book tho !
