Rate this book
Can love bloom in a land scarred by hatred, or will their hopes for a new beginning be torn apart by old grudges?

In the bustling tenements of New York City, 18-year-old twins, Ursula and Amelia, face a bleak future. Their mother, weakened by consumption, struggles to make ends meet by taking in laundry, while the girls toil long hours in a button factory. When rumors of the factory's imminent closure spread, desperation looms over the family. With no prospects in the city, the sisters turn to the Matrimonial Times in a last-ditch effort to secure a better life.

The answer to their prayers seems to come in the form of two ranchers from Rainbow Falls, each looking for a wife. The thought of a new life out West keeps their spirits high during the long journey, but when Ursula steps off the train, her dreams quickly unravel. She is stunned to discover that their future husbands are bitter rivals, embroiled in a feud that has divided the families for many, many years.

Ethan left to make his fortune, and now has returned to Rainbow Falls to rebuild the ranch that his father lost…..Or as he believes, that the Pearson’s took from his father.

Ursula must find a way to mend the rift between the men, not only for the sake of peace but to ensure she can stay close to her sister.

As tensions rise, Ursula must navigate a treacherous landscape of hostility and distrust.

I loved Ethan and Ursula 's story!

A different mail order bride book. Twins married feuding neighbors. After much diligence in looking for a resolution to the argument, Ursula finds a letter to settle everything.
