When Sadie Bingham’s life takes an unexpected turn, her children treat her to a well-earned break at Juniper Meadows, the gorgeous Cotswolds estate owned by the Travers family.
The festive season is in full swing, and Sadie throws herself into the packed Twelve Days of Christmas programme, relishing the opportunity to make new friends and new memories.
Single father Dylan Travers hasn’t been to his childhood home of Juniper Meadows for decades. Estranged from his cantankerous father Monty, he has made a happy life for himself in the States. But now with teenage children keen to know more about their roots, Dylan has brought them back to the Cotswolds to meet his family.
As Sadie and Dylan both navigate a Christmas very different from the ones they had expected it's soon clear that, geography apart, they have a great deal in common. And as Dylan confronts his past and Sadie contemplates her future, perhaps the miracle of this Christmas will be the happily-ever-after they both deserve.
Let Sarah Bennett whisk you away to a snowy Cotswolds for the perfect winter romance. A Sarah Bennett book is guaranteed to brighten any day, perfect for all fans of Cathy Bramley, Katie Fforde and Phillipa Ashley.
Sarah Bennett has been reading for as long as she can remember. Raised in a family of bookworms, her love affair with books of all genres has culminated in the ultimate Happy Ever After – getting to write her own stories to share with others.
Born and raised in a military family, she is happily married to her own Officer (who is sometimes even A Gentleman). Home is wherever he lays his hat, and life has taught them both that the best family is the one you create from friends as well as relatives.
When not reading or writing, Sarah is a devotee of afternoon naps and sailing the high seas, but only on vessels large enough to accommodate a casino and a choice of restaurants.
I received a free copy of, Snow is Falling, by Sarah Bennett, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book 4 of 4 in The Juniper Meadows series. Sadie is shocked when she found out her husband is cheating on her, at the holidays no less. Starting over is never easy, but Sadie has to move on. This was a good read.
Snow is Falling is the 4th and final book in the Juniper Meadows series by Sarah Bennett. In this book, Dylan, the prodigal son, returns home. Dylan moved to the States when his brother married the girl he loved. He married, had two children and divorced. It is Christmas time and his children would like to meet their family, so Dylan agrees to take them to spend Christmas. There are a few bumps along the way, but everything can't go perfect after all that time. Meanwhile, Sadie Bingham is recently divorced from her cheating husband, and her children decide to give her a getaway for Christmas. She is going to spend two weeks at Juniper Meadows and enjoy all that goes with it. As Dylan deals with his past, and Sadie tries to figure out what is next in her future, they bond and just maybe, might make a go of things together.
This was a great ending to this series. All the siblings are now back home and trying to figure out what is next for them and Juniper Meadows. There is an eclectic group of people ready to spend time together with the "Twelve Days of Christmas" celebrations and activities. I really enjoyed seeing them bond and welcome each other into their group of friends. Dylan's children are teenagers with all that comes with that, but they also participate and become friendly with the others, especially, Sadie. This was a sweet romance, family bonding, new beginnings and personal growth story. I will say, there was a great ending the I loved. If you enjoy a good Christmas story, with lots of festive activities and great group of characters, then I recommend Snow is Falling.
This was a perfect story for the time of year. A beautiful hotel in the country, falling snow, family and friends, and romance. What’s not to love? I hadn’t heard of Sarah Bennett before but I will be looking out for her books in future. I think this book can be read as part of a series, but it works perfectly well as a stand alone story.
When Sadie’s marriage crumbles, her grown up children treat her to a hotel and spa retreat in the countryside for Christmas. When divorced Dylan asks his children what they would like to do for Christmas they say that they would like to travel to England and meet his estranged family. They had been living in America for years, but with the pleas of his children, he feels like he has to take them to the UK to meet his estranged family. When Sadie and Dylan meet they both realise that there is something between them and how much they have in common, but with only a short time left together before Dylan has to take the children back to the USA, and Sadie has to return to her children, there isn’t much point in starting a relationship. Is there?
A fun, romantic story, with wonderful characters and fabulous descriptions of the scenery. Highly recommended at Christmas. Even better – it is FREE with Prime Reading!
I have really enjoyed this series and was particularly looking forward to this festive finale. However, I don’t think this book was as good as the other stories and I found I was quite bored by the plot.
Unlike the other novels, we are instead seeing Juniper Meadows from the perspective of the clients as newly-single Sadie is spending a fortnight at the estate for Christmas. Recently separated from her cheating husband, her children see this as an opportunity to have some “me time”. But what Sadie doesn’t expect is to start having feelings for a gorgeous American who is also at the hotel. Is this just a festive romance or something more? And how can this relationship work across the pond?
I found this change of perspective to be a bit refreshing, as the other stories have been seeing Juniper Meadows from behind the scenes. However, I think because the main characters are of an older demographic, I struggled to feel interested in them. Furthermore, despite having read all the books and seeing the character list at the start of the novel, I still struggled with the number of characters and found it difficult to keep track of who was who. This is a shame because it definitely impacted my enjoyment and I thought the additional characters sometimes breezed through scenes so quickly, I just couldn’t keep up with them.
Ultimately, I was hoping for another “young recruit” to help the wheels of Juniper Meadows keep moving. As this is what we have seen with the remainder of the books, this change of direction threw me. Whilst I enjoyed seeing the final brother return to Juniper Meadows, I think there was still unfinished business between the older members of the family. I also think I wanted to see more of the romantic connections that were established in the earlier stories.
Overall, this is an easy, romantic read and I was pleased to see Sadie get her happy ever after. I loved spending Christmas at Juniper Meadows and all the festivities that were organised. As a final book to the series, this wasn’t my most favourite, but I have enjoyed it overall and look forward to what Bennett releases next.
With thanks to Boldwood books and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Such a sweet, fun romance! Dylan returns home to Juniper Meadows with his teenage children after 30 years of living in the US. Sadie's grown children gift her a two week stay at Juniper Meadows after her divorce from her cheating husband. There's a connection between them from the first time they meet and it only grows from there. Plenty of joy and laughter as they go through the 12 days of Christmas festivities, with Sadie growing ever closer to Dylan and his children. A truly heart-warming story. I haven't read the other books in this series (although this one can be read as a standalone) but I'm certainly going to remedy that! Thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Sarah Bennett for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sadie is excited about her upcoming vacation with her husband, Paul. When she calls the travel agency handling the trip, she finds out her name is not on the trip, but another women’s name. From that point on, her life spirals out of control. Sadie’s adult kids gave her a surprise trip to Juniper Meadows. Will this give Sadie time and space to figure out her life?
Dylan had just walked his ex-wife down the aisle at her wedding. Dylan gives his teenagers a choice of what kind of trip they want. They chose to go to Juniper Meadows, his family’s estate. Dylan hadn’t seen his family in years and the family had not met his kids yet. Will it go smoothly or will the past resurface?
Once there, Dylan’s kids confront him and say that he can start dating. Will he take their advice, or will he stay single until they both graduate from high school?
From the characters, to the story, this book will have you turning the page to find out if Sadie and Dylan can each find their way! Just a fun and entertaining read! This book will satisfy that Christmas read about family, friendships and second beginnings with the right amount of drama and romance mixed in. Perfect for those who like a romantic and heartfelt read! A great book club pick as it will lead to many great discussions!
Thanks to Boldwood Books, I was provided an ARC of Snow is Falling by Sarah Bennett via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this story so much! You will want to add it to your Christmas TBR. Dylan and Sadie were both so fun and relatable. I instantly fell in love with the characters and was cheering for a happy ending for both of them. I enjoyed the story line, setting, and all the characters. And calling all Gilmore Girls fans - Margaret Dunlop will remind you of the third Gilmore Girl! Sadie will remind you of a quieter Lorelai and towards the end of the book Katie will remind you of Rory! The author did an amazing job at describing the scenes to help the reader envision what the characters were seeing. Juniper Meadows felt like a relaxing, winter wonderland.
I did not realize this book was a part of a series when I requested the ARC. It is the last book of the Juniper Meadows series, however I think this book works as a stand alone as well. However, when I finished this book - I found that I was not done with Juniper Meadows and wanted to read more. I instantly added the other three books to my "to read" list on GoodReads.
I rated this book 4 stars because I wasn't devouring the book and feeling like I just couldn't put it down. A five star book for me is a book I can't put down and can't wait to pick back up again. I enjoyed the story, but it was light hearted, happy ending, feel good book that I took my time to read. The ending did keep me guessing though, because I could not figure out how Dylan and Sadie could have their happy ending. But I absolutely loved how Sarah Bennett ended the story! I recommend this book if you are looking for a book with: Christmas feels, happy endings, handsome single dad, family reconciliation, and character growth.
After her husband leaves her for a younger woman, Sadie Bingham is determined to start anew. In a move to fresh starts all round, Sadie's adult children start a new Christmas tradition of treating Sadie to a solo holiday to Juniper Meadows retreat.
Meanwhile, Dylan Travers, estranged member of the Juniper Meadows family is returning to the family estate with his teenage children. This is a chance for Dylan to repair bonds with his family, and as fate would have it, he and Sadie meet and have *chemistry*.
What follows is a delightful story of a holiday romance, interwoven with family stories of healing and repairing generational trauma. I was at times confused whether this was meant to be Sadie's story or Dylan's, but overall, this was a lovely read.
For those to whom it matters, this was written in 3rd person omniscient narrator; and the sex scenes are closed door.
Overall a nice, cosy read.
~Many thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review~
"Snow is Falling" is the fourth book in the beloved Juniper Meadows series. This heartwarming instalment follows the journey of Sadie and Dylan as they each set off on their winter holiday adventures.
As they navigate the enchanting landscapes covered in snow, readers can immerse themselves in the charming details of their holiday experiences. The story captures the joy of winter escapades, filled with cosy nights by the fireplace, festive celebrations, and unexpected moments of connection.
Overall, this book is a delightful and quick read that brings warmth and sweetness to the reader’s heart, making it perfect for curling up with a cup of hot cocoa.
Whether you're a long-time fan of the series or a newcomer, "Snow is Falling" promises to deliver an uplifting and heartening escape into the cosy world of Juniper Meadows
would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this whimsical christmas book
life for sadie bingham had turned hard when she found out her husband of many years was cheating on her with a younger girl.... but with the advent of christmas upon her as a treat her family had booked her a two week stay over christmas at juniper meadow....
and what a treat it turned out to be....
dylan travers was going home....after decades away from his family his children had asked to go and how could he deny them and it was time to bury the hatchet
juniper meadows wow it sounds whimsical and lovely and i want to stay there... this story has a lovely christmassy feel to it that just didnt getting boring and kept me reading right to the end...
Oh poor Sadie, the start of this book I really felt for her.
I absolutely love the idea of not being home for Christmas. I am married and would of course go with my hubby but it would save having to think about the stress of cooking.
The Twelve Days of Christmas programme at Juniper Meadows is such a great idea. Sadie really deserves the break after the time she's had and this is the perfect place to relax and make new friends.
I love all of Sarah's books but this one in particular I love because of my want of being away for Christmas somewhere with my hubby, this isn't possible for us at the moment but it's so good to escape into a book that has basically described exactly the sort of thing I want.
Once again Sarah tells another story revolving round Juniper Meadows. Sadie is a guest staying at the beautiful hotel for Christmas all alone after a traumatic break up, her children club together and buy her a fortnight away to be spoiled instead of running round after them all. Dylan, the long lost brother of Ziggy, Zag and Stevie, makes his way home with his children ready to start reconnecting with his family and heal old wounds. These two characters gel almost instantly, and along with some hilarious one liners from the children, start a friendship that turns to more. It’s an easy going, warming story that is just as good as the others in this series and all the other books she’s written. Many thanks to Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read this arc copy via Netgalley. My opinion is my own. #Netgalley,#TheBoldBookClub, #Sarah_BennettAuthor.
I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources who very kindly forwarded me an arc copy of this book, for my kindle, in return for my honest review…
Snow Is Falling is actually book number four from the Juniper Meadows series and is a perfect Winter romance full of festive goodness.
I absolutely loved being whisked away to the gorgeous, snowy Cotswolds and loved Juniper Meadows with its 12 days of Christmas festivities!
This book pulled me in right from the very beginning and it didn’t let me go again until i had turned every page and had finished it all.
I really, thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was such a festive, heartwarming, romantic, feel good read and left me with my heart full of goodness…….
If you are looking for a cute feel good Christmas romance story then this is the perfect option! However if you are looking for a book with plot and tension, this might not be the one.
This book is a perfect christmas story about family, friends, finding yours, second beginnings and love with just a tiny hint of drama. The writing is pleasant and the characters are lovely. I was missing some plot and tension and due to this i felt like the story was kinda slow. However this was definitely a feel good Christmas second beginning romance story which i absolutely adored. And i loved following Sadie's and Dylan's story ❤️
Although I enjoyed reading this book, I did think it was a bit predictable and unrealistic. It’s a nice snowy Christmas romance with some family frauds rolled in. This is the 4th in this series, I have read the first one, it not the others so did remember the characters from it. The estate sounds lovely and is at the centre of the story. A nice Christmassy 4 star romance.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.
Sad to leave Juniper Meadows especially at Christmas and I loved catching up with the Travers family. Dylan hasn’t been home for a long time but decides it’s time for his teenage children to meet their family. Sadie is a lovely character. Full of Christmas fun, I left Juniper Meadows smiling and happy.
Sadie’s family gives her a two week stay at Juniper Meadows. It’s a beautiful estate owned by the Travers family. Dylan hasn’t been home in a long time. His kids decide they want to spend Christmas at Juniper Meadows. It’s a lovely sounding location that will make you wish you were spending the holidays there. It’s a nice story with friends, family and the possibility of new love
Sarah Bennett is another automatic read author for me. This is the fourth book in the Juniper Meadows series, and I've enjoyed my visit there every time. Sadie was comfortable in life; her children and grandchildren keep her happy and she visits her mother as often as she can though her mother doesn't have the best attitude. She more than anyone else is shocked when she finds her no good husband cheating on her and knows it's time for him to go. As a way to get her mind off of matters and relax, her children treat her to a twelve day stay at Juniper Meadows over Christmas holiday. Packed with winter activities even a murder mystery dinner she knows it's going to be a blast and a way to make new friends and new memories as she greatly looks forward to it. Dylan Travers, a single father with two teens has had enough. He hasn't been back to his childhood home, Juniper Meadows in years but for the sake of his children he knows it's time for a reunion. His children need to meet his side of the family as it's not fair on them and he's going to try to reconcile with his father. As Dylan and Sadie meet, they realize they have much in common and as they get to talking about their similarities, they realize they enjoy each other's company immensely. As the fun continues each day it brings them closer to returning to reality and Sadie leaving this little love nest. Can they make a long-distance romance work, or will it eventually crash and burn like so many long-distance romances do after a while? What a delightful book, I enjoyed reading about the celebration of the holiday and the snow activities that I could picture being done. Christas is the time for miracles, maybe they'll find a few at this time of year. What a delightful and heartwarming continuation of the Juniper Meadows series. I hope it will continue.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
This fabulously festive read is the 4th book in the Juniper Meadows series. Although it could very easily be read as a standalone, the entire series has been captivating so I would highly recommend that you read them.
The location of Juniper Meadows, the family seat of the Travers family, and now a successfully family-run luxury hotel and spa with workshops, brewery and camp site is in a fictional location in the Cotswolds. I liked the concept of the twelve days of Christmas event at the hotel, although my little antisocial self would only really enjoy some of the events taking place during the festive season.
I loved the characters of Sadie and Dylan. I do enjoy romances that are second chance romances or later life romance, so this story definitely ticked this box for me. Sadie lacked confidence at the beginning of the story but her character progression was truly enjoyable. Dylan was there to reconcile with his siblings after 30 years in the States, and he was not looking for someone to share his life with, although his teenage children after seeing their mother remarried, wanted the same level of happiness for Dylan too. Their chemistry was undeniable, and I just loved the snatched moments of time that Sadie and Dylan had together.
I enjoyed the friendship group they found themselves in when they were staying at the hotel, with a variety of couples and single people who all threw themselves into the activities at the hotel. All of the characters in the story were likeable with a few exceptions, including Sadie’s mother Margaret and Dylan’s father Monty.
This wonderful story left me feeling incredibly Christmassy and really made me crave a snowy December filled with snowmen, twinkly lights and warm spiced apple drinks.
I received an advance review copy for free thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

When Sadie Bingham’s life takes an unexpected turn, her children treat her to a well-earned break at Juniper Meadows, the gorgeous Cotswolds estate owned by the Travers family.

My Opinion
Welcome back to Juniper Meadows! Whilst Snow is Falling is the fourth book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone. Sadie's children have booked her a holiday for Christmas following a life changing discovery. Sarah Bennett has written a charming and delightful novel that I managed to read in one afternoon. This is definitely a book you will want to add to your want to read list for the upcoming festive season.
Snow is Falling is another lovely, cozy read in the Juniper Meadows series! Sadie is recovering from divorcing her cheating spouse, and her adult children surprise her with a gift to get away to Juniper Meadows for Christmas and enjoy something new. Dylan's no stranger to Juniper Meadows, his childhood home he fled as soon as he was able, with some regrets. It's been decades now, but his teenage kids want to know their family and see their dad's history. So off they all go.
What a beautiful combination of reconnecting with family, finding love in your fifties, and realizing what's important, all in a beautiful setting and the magic of the holidays. The Travers siblings and cousins are warm, welcoming, and loving despite many challenges, and eager to welcome Dylan back into their hearts. The family faces its challenges but meets them head-on, and give each other love and support.
I loved how, for the most part, Sadie and Dylan are honest with each other, don't play games, and talk to each other like adults. Watching their relationship grow and seeing how right they are for each other made me smile and wish more couples were like this! Sometimes it felt like everyone was too nice and too perfect, especially the kids, but that's also what makes this book so sweet, heartwarming, and cozy. I feel like I know this family and have been to Juniper Meadows, and can't wait to go back.
If you're looking for warm, cozy, relatively low drama, feel-good, then this book is for you!
I love this series from Sarah Bennett. Juniper Meadows is a magnificent family estate, the stately home now turned in to a hotel complex incorporating arts & crafts workshop spaces, a micro brewery and working farm land. It is home to the ever expanding Travers Family.
In “Snow is Falling” we get to know the estranged son, Dylan and the wondering, selfish patriarch, Monty. Dylan returns to spend Christmas with the family allowing his young teenage children to meet everyone for the first time, whilst enjoying all the benefits of Christmas as guests at the hotel. We are also introduced to Sadie, a hotel guest, recently single and very much in need of rest and fun away from the busy lives her children & grandchildren lead, memories of her cheating husband and her opinionated mother. Sadie soon finds herself enjoying her time at Juniper Meadows socialising, walking, crafting and dancing the night away. She makes new friends and even catches the eye of Dylan. Romance is in the air and once again the magic of Juniper Meadows on more than one of the guests. Meanwhile Monty is still staying in his van, hanging out at the pub and continuing to make himself persona non grata with his attitude towards his wife and family.
The book is a seasonal delight, full of Christmassy events such as tree decorating, craft fairs, ice skating, lantern lit walks, snow and carol singers. I will miss visiting Juniper Meadows, reading the books genuinely felt like visiting family myself, wrapped up warm in the arms of the Travers family.
Gorgeous comforting warm hug of a book!! Totally loved this final part of the Juniper Meadows set of four books. Can be read as a stand alone but actually it’s well worth reading all four, for the wonderful characters, creativity, imagination and a thoroughly great read! Easy reading the book flows beautifully, this is a joy! Sadie is beginning to rebuild her life after finding out her husband wasn’t the man she thought he was. Her family have all clubbed together to treat her to her favourite break, a hotel and spa holiday over Christmas, in the beautiful Cotswolds at the Juniper Meadows estate. The promise of Twelve days of Christmas celebrations are giving her hope for her future. Can she be brave enough to make new friends? Dylan is bringing his two teenage children back home from Florida in the States where he has built a life for himself for the last few decades, it’s time for him to reconnect with the family he left so long ago. Can he rebuild his relationship with his family?! Snow is Falling is a fabulous Christmas book with all the trimmings!! I became completely involved with the characters and the story, inspiring me to think about what I need this Yuletide season! I have loved all four of this set of books which are quite different in story line and content. Hugely recommend this tale for a perfect winter festive read, along with some hot chocolate or your favourite festive treats! Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood books for the early read. Much appreciated!! Loved it!!
As it is the middle of August I have not read any Christmas books yet this year as I usually wait until October for festive reads but, when I was lucky enough to be asked to read an advanced copy of Sarah Bennett's latest book I could not resist - and what an absolute Christmas cracker to start with. Being a similar age to the main characters - Dylan and Sadie (50ish) was refreshing as a lot of the books I read have the main characters in their 20/30's. Milly Johnson also does this and it is interesting to see how family commitments, duty and age can influence decisions. The majority of the story takes place in Juniper Meadows which we have visited before in books 1 to 3 of this series. For me it was wonderful to catch up with what now feel like old friends but, this book can very much be read as a stand alone story. Sadie has been gifted a two week stay at Juniper Meadows by her children after a very difficult year and Dylan is there with his two teenage children to meet his family. All the events for the twelve days of Christmas sound amazing and I would really like to visit - it is such a shame that this is an imaginary place. Every day different activities have been arranged for the guests to join in with (if they want to) and reading about them makes you want to start your Christmas shopping and create a perfect Christmas for your family. Wonderful descriptions of the hotel, food, people bring everything to life. An absolutely lovely festive read I can not recommend enough..
*I received a free ARC from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review*
After having learned a little about Dylan in the previous book of the series, I was really excited to learn more about him here. He is an interesting character for the series because he's part of the Juniper Meadows family but also a little bit of an outsider as a result of being gone for so long. I would have liked more between him and his siblings - you get kind of a "no hard feelings, all is forgiven" moment and that wraps everything up as far as what happened years ago. It also would have been nice to see more of him and the kids getting to know Dylan's niece and nephews and their partners. I loved Sadie from the moment she confronted her dirtbag husband and threw the pot at his car - she may have felt she lost some dignity there but I think she responded perfectly. And of course I loved that the kids immediately took her side and put together a plan for her to have some time away and pamper herself. Juniper Meadows at Christmas time is pretty much the perfect place - I found myself more than once wishing I could go there. Dylan and Sadie's relationship develops pretty quickly but not so quickly you don't believe it has a future. The fact that his kids are acting as little matchmakers was really sweet. I liked that this ends with the promise of a long-term relationship without tying up all the loose ends that they still need to figure out.
Reading this was like being given a huge mug of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, marshmallows, and chocolate sprinkles. A beautiful Christmas read. I loved being back at Juniper Meadows again and finally meeting Dylan and his wonderful kids. I’m sad that it’s the last one, but boy was it a good one.
Sadie and Dylan were meant to be. Sadie has such a great heart and is a beautiful person inside and out, but years of being over shadowed by her husband has really knocked her. Meeting Dylan whilst at the retreat was kismet. Her kids gave her the best Christmas gift after her divorce, the gift of self healing. Similarly Dylan’s kids gave him the same gift by wanting to meet his estranged family. I loved how kind, loving and thoughtful everyone was. With a family that large it’s easy to get forgotten, but no one ever is, there is so much love. Seeing that helped Sadie stand up to her own mother and help start the healing process.
Avery and Theo are amazing teenagers, they clearly live their dad a lot and aren’t as self involved as Dylan thinks and they notice his feelings for Sadie before him and quietly work in helping them be together.
I read this book easily and it flowed so well and I was turning the last page far too soon. Every book in this series can be read as a stand alone but when read all together they are so much better. The descriptions of all the Christmas activities were amazing and I really felt I was there. It was the perfect Christmas feel good read.
