I am happy with how this book turned out and so far, several people who read it said, "I was so captivated by the story that I read the book in two days." The book is about the adventure my first husband and I had, working as fire lookout attendants on Corral Hill Lookout in the Clearwater Ranger District. And it is also about how I coped with having grown up with childhood sexual abuse. I think any survivor would read this book and relate, even find it healing. And it was healing to write. It is also about the times: women's rights, Viet Nam, and other things the collective was dealing with in the early 70s. And of course, it is about reporting fires and the fire fighting culture. I hope you will read it and enjoy it.
