An interesting collection of science fantasy stories. They remind me a bit of some of the hard-boiled Leigh Brackett stories and a bit of Warhammer 40K.
I picked this up because I have read a couple of them before in small press publications. Overall, they’re enjoyable. There’s a bit of mystery that always ends with a bit of a science fantasy twist. Sometimes I found those conclusions very interesting, other times a bit underwhelming or confusing.
It all comes together nicely in the final story. If you’ve enjoyed any of these stories in other places it’s worth picking up the full anthology.
