Halloween Hex by daisy Landish Book Review
A Hex is on the loose in Moonhaven. Can Harper get it under control before it wrecks havoc and can she keep her secret in the process?
The descriptions in this book are great “That chiseled jaw, dark hair, blue eyes. He was made even more attractive whenever I saw him working on a mystery, and even more attractive when he was helping someone else.” Here Harper is talking about Liam and how her attraction for him is growing. Having romance within a mystery novel adds something to the story. Their love story is captivating and you'll find yourself rooting for this couple.
The Hex reaches the Carnival and causes chaos, interfering with rides. Lives are at stake. Will everyone be ok? Will Harper be able to stop the growing Hex? The descriptions in this scene are second to none. Setting the scene, instilling Panic and fear. I was on the edge of my seat reading this chapter. “Only for the wall to knock the tea mannequins over. The head of one popped off and rolled across the floor.” This is so eerie. It get's the reader's attention before throwing in the action. Will Harper be ok?
Bernard is a character that conveys no trust. He brings the box into Harpers's store that contains the Hex. Did he know, is he responsible or is the real culprit hidden in plain sight?
What does Bernard have against Abigail and is she hiding a secret of her own?
Someone threatens to stop the girls but they must stop the Hex from feeding off fear and growing before it is able to take on the physical world. Wow what a whirlwind, race against time. We have kidnapping, a collapsing Haunted house, mannequins coming to life, and Liam ends up hurt, does he survive?
This scene is Heartbreaking as Liam and Harper declare their love for eachother. Is it too late? All kinds of emotions. Sad, anger, fear and hope all wrapped into one.
Hints that the mystery is not over. With more questions than answers about the compass. Daisy has done it again, left us on a cliffhanger!

Oh heck a Halloween Hex becks on Mystic Moonhaven . What next? Good job we have Harper Nightingale and friends onboard to bring back accord . She has always found solace in her beloved bookstore that she does adore . But what she finds one day a mysterious compass and an ancient hex are released she’s not best pleased …see the ooh heck I released myself . Did she find it just lying there on the bookshelf? With detective Liam Ashford along to share in her despair at the magic realm where the past and her present collide where there’s nowhere to hide. So as they’re evolving into their relationship the town is facing its own evolution ,it needs a solution fast . To unravel the mystery that engulfs the town with a mystical magic that was thought to be legend. It’s Halloween and it remains to be seen who comes out on top ,from what we can glean there’s spirits that need to be stopped. Just another day and come what may these two will get the job done. And another day up will rise the sun .Solve it they will with grit and guile a bit of magic and it’s every corner you can garner ,Abigail’s B&B to the whispering woods a piece of the puzzle to come up with the goods. They must delve deeper than ever before to find out where the compass leads and more. Her own fate lies in the truth and might and adversaries and allies are a mysterious mix but can they be jinxed too. She has to have her wits alongside too if she’s going to pull through .They both do …. Great writing as ever Daisy Landish . A charm if you excuse my pun ,with this story I sure had fun . The reading was splendid ,I will have you know ,I do love your writing so. With quick wit and charm in every nook and mystery and magic ,great characters in your books and that’s not tragic .

Halloween Hex: A Paranormal Cozy Mystery (Mystic Moonhaven Mysteries Book 7), my fifty-fourth enjoyable short (44-page) paranormal cozy mystery from author Daisy Landish that I finished in about 45-minutes, the seventh book in her Mystic Moonhaven Mysteries. “I received a Kindle copy of this book in the and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author with Thanksgiving Thievery: A Paranormal Cozy Mystery (Mystic Moonhaven Mysteries Book 8) being the next book in the series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018.

A mysterious compass is delivered to Harper. In her hands a red spark emerges and flees away from her. Turns out is a hex, but not only is it of unknown origin but Harper has to figure out what the hex's goal is. This is Halloween time, a festival with many power sources, not to mention energy from rides. When it hits the festival they have to shut all rides down. Turns out as it feeds off energy, it grows. Will she uncover the one who called the hex and stop[ it before it gets too powerful. A delightful mystery and the antics they go thru chasing the hex make this an enjoyable quick read.

Another great addition to this series, "Mystic Moonhaven Mysteries". This time it's set at Halloween, which is my favorite, and it makes everything more eerie. Harper and the detective work together to figure out an old hex. A lot of history of the town and its people, so it's very interesting. Of course, there's a paranormal bent to the story as is with all the storylines in this series. This is a quick read, which I would love to have a longer story for each of them but that's my opinion. This series is well worth reading, it's quick and each book has an interesting aspect.

Another fantastic novella, about the Moonhaven series. This story is close to Halloween and has Harper hasn't started to do anything about her favorite holiday. Harper receives a compass that has a hex and seems to want Abigail. Harper and Liam need to find out what it wants and why it was left with her. Lots of strange action and a mystery to solve. Has a surprise ending between Liam and Harper. Would strongly recommend to others.

Halloween Hex: A Paranormal Cozy Mystery is book #7 in the Mystic Moonhaven Mysteries series by Daisy Landish.
This was a fun, quick read. A hex is accidentally released and Harper and Liam have to get it under control. My favorite part is that Harper keeps finding bits of information about her past. And there is a potential threat looming over Moonhaven. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Short but fun!
Harper survived the Harvest Festival debacle but mayhem is still loose in Moonhaven. She accidentally releases a hex. Harper and her boyfriend, Detective Liam Ashford, need to recapture it quickly before someone dies!
What an exciting cozy! It is the perfect book for a relaxing day or reading. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

We find another character is also a witch. The town of Moon Haven seems to have been founded by families of witches.. the stories all intertwine and must be read in a certain order. Again, they are all mystifying, exciting and enjoyable.

Love the entire series.
