I woke up married to my archenemy, my dad’s billionaire boss. The beast stole my v-card and now… I’m expecting his baby.
The grump fired my father then made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Be his fake fiancée and in return… One million dollars. All so he could mend his bad boy image. Which apparently an innocent wallflower like me can deliver.
I took the deal to give my dad a break after mama died.
But in a hazy Vegas moment. . .he put a ring on my finger. Now I’m his.
Publicly I’m his perfect wife, But behind closed doors, he reveals his dark side.
Bound up and pushed to my limits, I’m starting to fall for this dangerous side of him…until, I became a target for his enemies.
Now I pray he’ll rescue us in time. Me and the secret growing inside me—his baby.
Fake Dark Vows is a spicy Standalone Full Length Enemies to Lovers, Forced Proximity, 'my woman vibes' Possessive alpha hero, Marriage of Convenience, Sudden Pregnancy, Grumpy Sunshine Dark Romance with surprise twists and a Happily ever after.
Okay, i tried to keep an open mind and give it a go despite the glaring warning sings.
H has descriptive sex with ow after meeting h. Brings another women who he's already been with on the trip with fmc. Sleeps with virgin h ( insert eyeroll here) in public while being off his rocker, gets a sextape with ow released and then propositions h for being his fake fiancé to avoid scandal. Yeah, my limit is this and i dnf'd at this point.
Part of the Ruthless Mafia Kings series hang on once you start you won’t want to put it down until the last page has been turned. Brandon sexy as all get out billionaire workaholic not looking for a relationship only getting ahead and making more money. Rose is sweet with a touch of spice, but she loves her family. She isn’t where she wanted to be in life due to taking care of her mom and then her father, but she wouldn’t trade it for anything. She has a run in with none other than the billionaire in an unfortunate sticky mess involving her best friend’s little girl, where he proceeds to be rude and condescending towards her and she proceeds to give him a piece of her mind. Yet the magnetic pull was still there despite his rude behavior so when his mother hires her accepting because she needs the job working on a remote island ensuring everything runs smoothly changing her life but when his brother steps him pushing them together giving them a chance to explore the pull between them but a misunderstanding pulls them a part one that negatively affects both her life and her dad’s life so she walks away but will he allow her to walk away, will he fight for what they have considering he hasn’t wanted a relationship, will he be honest about his feelings, can they have the future they want, and will they have happiness?
I really wanted to like this and maybe I would have had I not read the description first. What was in the description didn’t even start until 50-60% of the way through the book which was annoying and took away from my enjoyment of it because instead of getting into the story I was distracted with “am I reading the right book?” I almost DNF. Told myself I would if I finished the chapter and nothing happened. Most of the climax and resolution didn’t really happen until 80-85% through.
The romance and love wasn’t believable to me. This one was just a flop for me. I hated the parents enough, I don’t think I could read their story. The FMC is a crier. This book was just not for me.

This book had so much potential. I should have put it down when there were OW involved so quickly because it's an ICK for me, but I was dumb and kept reading. Their relationship felt so fake, I think the author rushed the story at all the wrong places. Like half the book was about 4 days and then it just sped through all the important parts. When I finished I literally said "That's it?". Like no way this guy was fucking another girl 2 weeks ago and now he's just soooo in love...like okay frat boy vibes.
This book had a few things wrong starting with the blurb. It was so off the rail, not a lot going with the storyline. Then the description under the title says it is part of The Ruthless Mafia Kings series and it has zero to do with the mafia. I thought the whole premise was to do with the Vegas wedding and that seemed almost an after thought. There were too many runaway storylines in this book. Some did not need to be there. It is a good read but totally needs some work.

This book was okay, very long and very boring. The h meets the H at his office building where they run into each other. She is babysitting her godchild and the baby accidentally wiped her hands on his pants. The H is like a robot, very focused and unforgiving. The h is always crying about everything, she had no backbone. The plot was weak. Just not interesting.
I tried to give it a chance, but from the first chapter, this bitch was rude and annoying. I saw it coming: "She's not like other girls." Who in their right mind allows a child in their care to dirty another person with their filthy hands and blames that person (who also happens to be your father's boss). Ugh. 18% was enough. This isn't for me.
Well I’ve read it in a day that should say something. It held my interest from the first page to the last. Brendon is the petroleum billionaire and Rose is the janitor’s daughter who becomes his mums housekeeper for his dad birthday week and sparks fly they end up in Vegas and get married. She gets kidnapped but eventually they have a happy end. At the beginning I thought Brendon to be a sleazy drank that goes to bars gets drunk and has one night stands not caring about the consequences. Then he gets drank at his dad’s birthday party hits his head and with a concussion sleeps with Rose ah yeah we find out she’s a virgin? I liked the writing style the story was captivating and I will check out the next one.
What’s up with the book description? It’s totally inaccurate: -They aren’t archenemies -She isn’t a virgin -He didn’t fire the dad (his mom did) -He never reveals a dark side, just a grumpy one -Her moms been dead 4 years so her agreement really wasn’t to give dad a break
It could have been great because of the mystery and the authors voice throughout, but there were some pretty big and glaring reasons it’s not.
First, the main characters never drew me in. I never cared one way or another about them.
Second, the side characters had no real purpose.
-Jess and Izzie were never seen after the first few chapters.
-The dad is so minor a character, he’s basically an after thought.
Third, the plot line about her twin dying at birth and her having survivors guilt is weird. Like was the author just trying to make us feel bad for main female character? Cause this added nothing to the story.
Also, What’s with Damon? We find out all about his cheating and his terrible behavior towards his wife and kids and then nothing. Where’s his comeuppance?
-Kelly actually seemed ok for a bit, but her brush off when Rose is asking for help made me dislike her.
-Sam’s character was weird. He’s like sneaking around in the background, then supplies incorrect info, doesn’t answer his phone over and over, and then stands by Brandon in support at the end when the worst might have happened to Rose.
-what was the point of making Jennifer an ex-escort?And then it isn’t explained why she’s in Vegas with Damon, a man she barely knows and didn’t seem to like at all.
Add in the strange background story for how Ruby goes about hiring Rose.
The story just didn’t vibe for me. Plus the whole Brandon thinks he loves Kelly after all these years but then realizes he loves Rose seemed unbelievable. He doesn’t interact well with either one of the women for it to be believed he cared at all for either of them.
Ooh and Rose totally forget to even worry about Jennifer after seeing her kidnapped, beaten, and held against her will. This perfectly nice women is being held against her will and Rose heads back to the hotel and fucks Brandon as priority number 1. Like really?!?! 🤦♀️🤮. We’re supposed to be on board with Rose being so great and wonderful after that. Come on…
If you like grumpy x sunshine, steamy, fake fiancé and billionaire romance tropes in a very well written story with spice, danger and suspense you get a perfect package with this story.
We get to experience the building love from Brandon and Rose, who have an unusual first meeting. Brandon is hard to love at first and you totally can understand for Rose not liking him very much.
How all of this evolves into an happy end you have to read the story.
It’s steamy, unpredictable and takes turns which you don’t expect. It gets you hooked right away and you can’t lay it down.

You can’t call it a surprise pregnancy book and put that in the description if it happens 90% way through the book. That’s not a surprise pregnancy book…that’s just a conclusion.
This one was full of surprises as to where we start off with Mr. Rude, the billionaire, who's unemotional and grumpy and also doesn't care about people, while Rose starts working temporarily for his family - to the twists about the sudden dangers and also underlying suspense.
We see Brandon and Rose having the most unusual meeting where instantly the stage is set for these two to be enemies and seriously, the way Brandon is - so self absorbed about his wealth and so cold, I don't really fault Rose for hating his guts.
Rose is in need of a job and when she lands the wild opportunity of working for Brandon's Mom, on a remote island, temporarily as the one to ensure everything runs smoothly - never did she think how this was going to change her life.
While ensuring everything runs smoothly, handling crying babies, managing the small hiccups in the party to going full swing in finding the hidden clues in the treasure hunt - Rose is definitely having a wild time.
But what was surprising, is the lines that start to blur between Rose and Brandon.
The beach scene, although dangerous - was hot and also many spicy scenes between them were Steamy.
But the suspense part was just as good with Brandon having to deal with the media scandal of what happens to him, all in an attempt to control him and his dealings regarding his company plans and the insider trading and other deals that are in the run.
We have action too and some dangerous turns that I was nervous about but the race to the final reveal definitely kept me hooked and so pumped up to find out what would happen.
i was rlly excited to read this and for the first 100ish pages it was good, i liked the treasure hunt idea but it was rlly hard to follow. i never connected with the characters like brandon was almost like an afterthought and he would be contemplating whether he liked her or not after literally running all over town to find her. Also, what’s up with rose crying ALL THE TIME??? i swear every other sentence it would talk about the tears welling up in her eyes! and they would be having a good moment and then it would end up with one of them leaving. The author would be so detailed about the most random parts and then when something cute would happen she would skip over it! it was infuriating to read! half of the description was wrong btw her dad is not his mortal enemy he was his janitor. I only made it to 70% and there was no mention of kids other than the first 100 pages and also this is NOT enemies to lovers brandon said multiple that he doesn’t dislike her. It was like strangers to lovers mainly. i can understand why he didn’t like her in the beginning tho, do you know how hard it is to spot little kids running at you when your not looking down? especially in a place where your not expecting kids?? and then the wine spill??? like bro. Rose honestly angered me so much ngl. like she didn’t want to take the smarter route during the treasure hunt and she would cry every five seconds. also why did she get on the boat with georgie in her hands????? like what were you going to do with her??? Anywho, i gave it a one because it was a DNF and when I DNF a book that means i did NOT like it or it was too smutty and this book was both.
Billionaire Brandon Weiss first meets Rose Carter when, who he assumes, her daughter collides with him in the lobby of Weiss Industries, leaving her sticky, wet fingerprints all over his suit trousers. The next time they meet Rose throws a glass of wine over him.... So, when Brandon's mother, Ruby, offers her a job she couldn't be more surprised. Ruby wants her to help out with her husbands, Harry, upcoming birthday celebrations on Ruby Island. Rose needs the money so agrees.
Things are not all as they seem and Brandon has hidden agendas with some of the guests, including his brother Damon, married to Kelly, a one time girlfriend of Brandon's.
The growing feelings between Rose and Brandon only increases and when they win a joint prize to Vegas, they somehow end up married to each other. The question is, will they stay that way? There's no denying they're attracted to each other, but is that enough?
An enemies to lovers tale with added ingredients of familial issues, revenge, betrayal and a healthy dose of heat combine to make this another easy read from this author.

When Two Lost Souls Connect - The first time Rose and Brandon met didn’t end well, but fate brought them back together again and even though they were both weary of being around each other, they felt a connection pulling them together. Everything changed after Brandon’s brother’s intervention pushed the two of them together and they explored the sexual tension between them. Unfortunately, a near fatal incident led to a misunderstanding, where Rose and her father were affected.
However, Brandon wasn’t prepared to let her go, so he put forward a proposal that led them on an angst and suspense-filled adventure, that pushed them to finally acknowledge their feelings for each and grab the opportunity of having the future they both never imagined. This was a slow build romance that built up into an intense and emotionally charged, action-packed romance, that had me hooked and unable to stop reading once I started. If you are looking for your next astoundingly reading experience, then grab a copy of this book and you won’t regret it.

This book was not for me. To many things happening, but not enough happening at the same time. The MMC isn't impressive in my opinion. I know the book is part of a billionaire mafia series, but it's mostly just billionaire drama - two brothers in competition with each other. The mafia aspect comes into it much later in the book and doesn't really play into the over all story well. The FMC manages to get kidnapped not once, but twice, and the MMC has no safeguards in place for his Mrs.
I read a lot of the reviews talking about OW drama, but I consider it OW only if the MMC and FMC are together. In this case, they were not. MMC had a fling with someone after meeting FMC sure, but the main characters were not linked at that point. OW is cheating for me but you cant cheat if you've only met the FMC once or twice. What I did find weird is after the MMC nearly drowns after hitting his head on a rock at the beach, the FMC rescues him and then the two of them continue to have sex. Umm...the man could have a concussion, or a brain bleed. They don't even seem worried about it. That was absolutely idiotic in my opinion.
Brandon Weiss is our thirty five year old handsome billionaire MMC. He’s closed himself off to relationship’s and lives only for work and getting ahead. Rose Carter is our beautiful, sweet and innocent MFC. She’s not where she wants to be in life but does not regret giving up school and a fiancé. It was for her mother and now her dad. After a disgruntled Brandon meets Rose in an unfortunate sticky mess involving her best friend’s little girl, he thinks he put her out of his mind. Alls fine till she accepts a job from her mom for about a weeks on his mother’s private island. Oh boy I would love to tell you more but trust me it’s worth the read. Their denial, slow burn (his side), sabotage, kidnappings, brutality and finally after a lot of hurt and figuring out what’s most important in life, a happy ending. This IS an adult read so keep that in mind. It was en enjoyable read and I do love Vivy Skys writing style.😁.

Vivy Skys’ books just keep getting better! The characters have depth and substance. The story captivated my attention from the beginning and held my interest throughout the book.
Brandon and Rose are an unlikely couple who must overcome some serious challenges to find happiness. From the moment they meet in the lobby of his building, their connection is instant, and their chemistry is undeniable, despite how rude and condescending Brandon behaved and how Rose responded with her sassy mouth.
The action is intense, and some situations are filled with angst, while others are steamy, fun-filled, and romantic.
Unlike some reviewers, I don’t believe the purpose of a review is to give a synopsis of the book. I choose to comment on the author’s talent and skill at bringing the story to life.
I enjoyed this book. If you like steamy romance books with some mystery and suspense you should read this one. I received a free advance reader copy and am leaving my honest review.
Brandon Weiss always having the last word. Keeping people in their places, always staying on top.
A sibling rivalry. What caused the animosity between the 2 brothers? A player and a scrutiniser. Did this involve a female?
Overall - patience isn’t what Brandon needs. His life is all work related and competitive. A shrewd person who has no time for anyone’s but work. Rose is his thorn. Bubbly and full of life, she is also a hindrance to him.
Circumstances change, a bet between rivalry siblings brings forth challenges that change the course of lives.
There were so many twists here keeping you enthralled. There were more than just business transactions! Deceit, sexual hunger, abuse, Rich & Famous, snobbery - it was all present.
Brandon meets Rose when she comes to his office to bring her father lunch and her friend's kid gets sticky stuff on his pants. They exchange heated words and part ways. However, he ends up having her father tell her that she isn't allowed to come there when he is at work. This infuriates her but she gives in. Brandon and Rose run into each other again at a bar and she spills a drink on him by accident. His mother hires her to be the maid on the family's island during a gathering. Its during this time that things heat up between Bradon and Rose. Will he make his claim on her? Or will his family come between them?
This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

OMG you just going to love this story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was extremely intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down at all. It was addicted and breathtaking of emotions. It was captivating and with more romance between Brandon and Rose chemistry was spicy and the physical attraction was sexual tension. They couldn't fight the temptation any longer and they gave into their feelings and the lust. He was her boss and it was forbidden love affair. And from that one night night with him will change her life forever. I highly recommend this book and believed me you won't regret reading. Fake Dark Vows by Vivy Skys is an absolutely amazing book with an outstanding plot, characters, and the outcome is absolutely amazing. Fake Dark Vows follows the story of Brandon and Rose, their story is quite fascinating, enjoyable and entertaining. I couldn't get enough of their story, and was slightly sad when their story came to an end. However, I would certainly reread this book again because its a story that I wouldn't get bored with reread it. I absolutely enjoyed seeing their story unfold before my eyes, and their story is exceptionally well-written and executed by author Vivy Skys. I would certainly encourage others to read this amazing book.

The story is all over the place. Some of it didn’t make any sense and felt like 3 different stories being jumbled into one. I originally found this as a recommendation for a surprise pregnancy and ***spoiler alert*** there is no mention of pregnancy until the second to last chapter. Very disappointing.
This book could have been much shorter if the author stuck to one story line. I also found that the main characters had little to no chemistry and felt as though the times they did connect were randomly pulled out of nowhere. There were hints of push and pull between the two of them but it was written so poorly.
Brandon was not kind man. He told over for his dad. Rose needed a job, her father was the janitor for Brandon’s office. Somehow, his mother found out that she needed a job and ask her to be the housekeeper Ruby Island for his dad 70th birthday party. His brother Damon wage a bet to Get Rose first. Rose and Brandon were not a couple you expected. They end up being matched together on a on a boat for treasure hunt. Damon is married to Kelly with three little girls. .But he like to flirt . Rose changed Brandon and became close. They even got married. You definitely saw a different side of him when he couldn’t find her..The some action and steamy intense storyline.
Brandon and Rose. Shes the janitors daughter hes fired because of her. Shes babysitting and taking her father his lunch and the toddler gets Brandons suit sticky. Shes given up her life to take care of her parents. Hes a workaholic billionaire not looking to settle down only make more money. But when shes hired by his mother to make sure things run smoothly on her private island for a week things get, well lets say, interesting with secondary charecters interferring. Really a great read. Theres intrigue, suspense, family drama, and lots of emotions.

Rose went to her father’s work to give him his lunch. She took with her bestfriend kid that she babysit. The girl ran from her and bumped into the boss her hands were dirty and her hands touched his pants ,when he saw his pants he was shouting at Rose. His parents every year goes into an island that they owned and their housekeeper can’t make it so his mother asked Rose to take the work. Rose accepted but she was exited to meet with him even they were in a bad terms she was attracted to him.
This book is an amazing to read I couldn’t stopped reading it. I really recommend to whom loves to read romance. As always the author made a great work
I’m sorry but this storyline is ridiculous and ugh soooo slow and so boring! It’s like cartoon characters of evil rich people and with very little personality and charm.
And the MMC mom is Ruby and the female main character is Rose I mean zero stars for originality! Many Eye rolls at the lack of imagination there wowsa! Brandon is so boring and dull for a MMC he’s no Alpha that’s for sure! And the spice steam whichever is very minimal so yeah IMO one of the most boring books I’ve ever read! Idk if this author’s books are all like this but it doesn’t make me want to read anything else she wrote sorry !
