With Shi Island under new management, it's time to finish the quest to unite the men of Nyarlea. Matt and Tristan travel with their Parties to the scorching desert landscapes of Ichi Island in search of Magni, the fourth and final man. But the self-proclaimed King of Ichi Island and his deadly Ejderha warriors reign with the sharp points of their spears and brutal gilded cages.
It won't be easy to penetrate the many walls of Rājadhānī, and it'll take more than diplomacy to end Magni's rule.
Join your favorite characters and fresh faces on this perilous journey through Nyarlea's unforgiving deserts in the fourth installment of Everyone's a Catgirl!

If you thought the ante had already been upped considerably with Volume 3 of Everyone's a Catgirl!, well, buckle up for Volume 4. Because welcome to Ichi Island, aka the darker and more unforgiving underbelly of Nyarlea, where the stakes and consequences are much more dire -- something which is very much reflected in the writing here, and effectively so. With each new volume, this series has gotten progressively deeper and more complex, and that pattern continues with Volume 4. The ways in which DoubleBlind keeps expanding the world and deepening/enriching the story and characters have all the hallmarks of a writer who know what they're doing, with clear purpose. And just like the last, this new installment shows that DoubleBlind has much grander ambitions for this series than just your typical LitRPG series. And the follow-through there has been mightily impressive.
If you haven't given this series a shot yet, what are you waiting for?
The next part in an adventure that takes things to a higher level. The wait for Ichi Island is worth it. The arc that just keeps giving! The characters continue to grow and especially learn just how dangerous this new locale can be and in more ways than one. And still balanced so nicely with some more little side quests. The cast continues to grow, the stakes are bigger, and it has me dying to get my hands on the next volume already.
The latest volume of the series is the most thrilling one yet, with both Matt and Tristan's parties facing their most dastardly dangers yet: an inhospitable desert, burrowing monstrosities, an island with many inhabitants who resent their presence, and—worst of all—taxes!
Fans of Cailu from previous installments have a lot to look forward to in this book, as several chapters either give us his point-of-view of current events or share insights into his history on the islands. With these chapters, we get a brand-new look at the elf, and untainted by Matt's negative perspective of him, he becomes a far more sympathetic and complex character.
The author does a fantastic job of making the world feel alive, through in in-depth and realistic interactions that Matt and Tristan have with the various girls on Ichi Island.
Continuing from Volume 3, Matt, Lara, Ravyn, Destiny, Ceres, Keke, Cannoli, Portia, and Tristan travel to Ichi Island. At the request of Cailu, they are going to Rājadhānī to request a meeting with Magni and the other men. They travel across a hostile, burning hot desert on strange beasts, attacked by huge sand worms. Zahra joins them. The conditions in Rājadhānī are abominable for most catgirls, only a few live comfortably, most live close to the edge of starvation and dehydration, the unluckiest are kept in cages as punishment. Matt and Tristan are determined to talk to Magni but after numerous setbacks, including a bloody massacre, are finally unsuccessful. There is a cliffhanger ending to be continued in Volume 5….
As always the adventures had me gripped tightly in their cat claws from beginning to end! However I am now slightly traumatized and will never look at walls the same way again. Don't let that discourage you though! Read the book!!!
