Hello everyone, welcome to my author page. I am from Dublin, Ireland. I am an artist as well as a writer. A little about my first novel The Serpent of Time... My influences in writing my debut novel have been from many sources, really too numerous for to mention here. A large influence for me has been the world of comics like the British comic 2000AD, the artwork and ideas of artists like Rodney Matthews, and the fantasy books of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone. Combine all these with the worlds of Tolkien, Brandon Sanderson and C .S. Lewis and you might be getting closer to the blend that formed my first story. However, all these are still merely influences and the final shape of The Serpent of Time was from stretching my imagination as best I could. A seed of the idea for the mysterious Time-Lands (within my book) began with a vivid dream of a desert that I had many years ago now, and from which I created the painting I call "Desert of the Blue Stones". I shall post it eventually on my website. My second novel is in the LitRPG Genre and part of what hopefully can become a series. It is called Unknown Realms, The Eternal Challenge Book 1. It follows the journey of a bounty hunter called Jon as he tries to survive being trapped in a game-like world of danger and magic. Wishing everyone an enjoyable visit here and I hope you will explore my fantasy worlds and enjoy reading my novels. Thanks to all readers of fantasy and LitRPG, best regards Jim
I liked a lot this book. It was a good continuation or even better than the first in series. It was immersive and takes you into the world of fantasy really a lot. The story is often umpredictable and I found difficult to stop reading it. I'waiting for the next book of the series!
