Once a celebrated model, Evelyn Beckham dominated the fashion runways of New York, Paris, and Milan. But life under the lights nearly destroyed her, and at the height of her career she walked away from it all. Now, five years later, Eve’s built a new life at the helm of Manhattan’s premier high-end lingerie boutique, L’opale. Now, Gabe would do anything for Dominic Baine—including keeping a covert, protective eye on beautiful Evelyn Beckham as a personal favor to his boss and friend. But keeping Eve safe means keeping her close, and soon the lines between duty and desire begin to blur into a consuming passion too powerful to be denied. With Eve’s life in escalating peril and her faith in him certain to shatter, Gabe will have to risk everything to protect her while facing the most intense fight of his life . . . the battle for Eve’s heart.

Oh! Wow! What a sexy erotic read with a thriller storyline too! I so enjoy a good Lara Adrian book!!! This is my first book from the 100 series and I loved it! Awesome interesting characters and Adrian's trade mark hot sexy scenes with sexy dominant men and the strong women who bring them to their knee's. Gabriel is sexy ,hot and a total take charge kind of guy who has been though some tough times and carries his scar's mentally and physically, but he has found his equal in Evelyn, at one time she was a super model but after crashing and burning and pulling herself out of the abyss she has her shit together and is owner of her own lingerie business and is designing lingerie for avery ,dominic banes fiancee and that's how she meets gabriel. He's the head of security for bane enterprises .When things start happening and it looks like eve might have a stalker gabriel is sent to watch over eve,but when these two are together it's a epic hot chemistry with even hotter sex!!! And even secondary characters like eve's hot sexy brother Andrew and the sexy as f##k bad boy Jared Rush !!! Are so intriguing, Can't wait for their books too!! Amazing read!💖💋

Full disclosure, I only bought Run to You because it was narrated by Wesleigh Siobhan and not even she could save this book. It started out pretty good but, as the book progressed, it started to drag and the plot got weak. Lets talk about Gabriel's relationship with his father. This man pretty much treated Gabriel like trash his entire life. This treatment was allowed to go on by his mom and older brother without anything being said. When he damn near gets killed overseas, his father doesn't even bother to visit Gabe while he's in the hospital. With that being said, ALL of the father's behavior and treatment of Gabe was forgiven with one conversation?!!! And, in the end, he gave him a weak azz explanation why he treated Gabe so horribly. Come on now! Insert a very frustrated look here. Moving on to Andrew. How do you NOT tell your sister she has a stalker?!!! There is just no rational explanation for that. That part of the story line was egregiously stupid! Evelyn. Lets talk about her. Is she black or white?!!! Up until the first sex scene , I thought she was a white woman but, during their first sexual encounter, Gabe said he pulled her dress down over her light brown skin and he referred to her nipples as dark as chocolate. He made other references in the book that made me believe she was black as well but, I just wasn't 100% sure. Color me confused because, I still don't know. And, lets not talk about who turned out to be the stalker. Really?!!! Wesleigh Siobhan did an outstanding job as always but, I wasn't impressed with Jeremy York. He did an okay job but, when he narrated the sex scenes, he made them sound very amateurish. It was almost comical listening to him. Wesleigh did a much better job with the sex scenes. Overall, this book was not worth a credit and I am seriously considering returning it.

This is my first read by Lara Adrian. And I am looking forward to read more of her books. A whole lot more. I am very impress with Run to You. The story of bodyguard romance is nothing new. What makes Run to You special is that it build a good depth in the story and the character development. I knew this book going to be explosive when Gabriel character being introduced. I always have soft spot for ex marine/ army hero that bear a scars.

The chemistry between Gabriel and Eve is slow. Its linger first then continue to burn. It is very satisfied to see how they both finally consume their attraction. And even after the first half, Miss Adrian still can make the story grow. Even with that stalker twist. This book is also highlight so many things about veteran issues, suicide, drug and depression.

At the end it is a very nice ending.

This was good but I much prefer the hero to pursue the heroine. While he did have problems staying away from her, he let his friendship with her brother stop him from truly going after her at first. This type of scenario is a pet peeve of mind so it's purely a personal preference that kept me from truly loving this book. I also struggled with how the heroine treated the hero at first. I'm still glad I read it and would love to see other spinoffs with Beck or Eve's friends and I'm a bit intrigued with Avery's artist friend. I like the world this is set in and would love to see more.

Sexy. Erotic. Exciting. Suspenseful. Inspirational. Trust me, I could go on and on and on about Lara Adrian’s latest standalone romantic suspense, but I want you to experience this all for yourself. 𝐑𝐔𝐍 𝐓𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔 is a sizzling standalone in Adrian’s 100 𝑆𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠 and I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was when I heard she was writing more stories in this series, and taking us back into this amazing, enticing, and erotic world! This sexy and spellbinding romance gives us Gabriel and Evelyn’s story. Their chemistry, you guys…I’m getting all hot and bothered just thinking about it…SCORCHING HOT! It’s also beautiful, heartwarming, and it hit all of my emotional buttons. I couldn’t have asked for a better escape from reality! There are so many ways this could go…so many amazing characters we are introduced to. I’m so thrilled and eager to see where Lara takes us next!

3.5 stars!

A sexy, chemistry-filled and emotionally intense romance with a touch of suspense, I really enjoyed this book! It’s a spin-off from Adrian’s ‘100’ series – set in the same world, but featuring different characters. It can standalone, but fans of the original series will enjoy catching up with characters we’ve previously met and loved.

Gabriel Noble is an ex-soldier whose his military career was cut short when an IED left him without a limb. His recovery has been hard and he’s suffered a lot, but it hasn’t stopped him from living his life, and he's just been promoted to Head of Security at Baine International. It’s an amazing opportunity for him, and he owes everything to his friends and bosses Nick and his right-hand-man, Andrew, but his new job puts him up close and personal with the woman he can’t stop thinking about – Andrew’s younger sister Evelyn Beckham.

Evie has been through her own trauma. Once a top model, she succumbed to the pressure of her career and almost lost everything. Now she is recovered and thriving in her new life as an exclusive lingerie designer/boutique owner. She works hard and is finding huge success, and has just been hired to design for Nick’s fiancée, Avery, and it’s while visiting Baine International that she meets Nick.

There is an instant attraction between Gabe and Evie. They don’t get off on the right foot, but they still want each other badly, and the flirtation between them is simmering with sexual tension. Gabe’s new work responsibilities mean that he needs to work with Evie on Security issues at her business, providing lots of opportunity for the chemistry to build, and when she becomes the target of a stalker, Gabe is put in charge of her security – making her even more off limits than she was previously, no matter how badly he wishes otherwise.

It’s crazy how much I want her. Worse than crazy; it’s negligent as hell, especially now that her life is in my hands. If I am to protect her, I damn well can’t do it from between her legs.

I loved Gabe. He is supremely confident without coming off as being arrogant, he’s just sure of who he is, how he feels, and how Evie reacts to him. He doesn’t hide any of it, and it makes every moment between them sizzle with anticipation.

His gaze sears me as it travels every inch of my face. This man is steady and strong, but he burns hot. I can feel the intensity of his arousal in the heat that fills the space between us. I can see how tightly reined he manages his control, but he is on the verge of losing it.
He reaches out, stroking his thumb along my jawline. His fingers splay against my cheek and a moan builds in my throat. He shakes his head, whether in warning to me or himself, I can’t be certain.
“Do I want you, Evelyn? Hell, yes. You’re all I thought about after I got home last night. And today, I couldn’t get here fast enough, just to see you again.”

With Evelyn’s life pretty much in his hands, Nick tries his best to keep things professional, but the attraction between them is irresistible and they soon find themselves falling into a passionate, all-consuming affair that leaves them both hopelessly addicted to each other and falling hard and fast. It’s hot and sexy and all kinds of intense, and with Nick preferring his sex with a side of minor kink, the sexy time is seriously steamy. The emotional connection between them is just as strong, and I loved watching them given in to all that they are feeling.

If control was what he needed tonight, I am only too glad to surrender all of mine. Anything if it means he’ll keep driving his cock into me as if he can’t get close enough, can’t go deep enough. He needs this, and I revel in the fact that it is me who’s giving him this.

Their relationship has a forbidden-ish edge to it, and Evie doesn’t know that Nick has been asked to protect her, and as the threat towards Evie becomes more dangerous, everything builds to an exciting, suspenseful climax. It’s emotional and dramatic and they will be put to the test like never before as fight to keep hold of what they have found together.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters, the love story is intense and emotional, and I loved how functional and open they were with each other and all that they were feeling. The suspense was nicely done and there is some side drama which adds nicely to the story and the depth of the characters.

There’s a great group of side characters all begging to have their stories told, and I can’t wait to explore more from this series of standalones.

3.5 stars.

Run to You is the first standalone romance set in the same world as Lara Adrian's 100 Series. If you're familiar with the original trilogy you'll enjoy spotting familiar faces but if you're new to this world then you won't have any problems diving in here as the romance stars a brand new couple and gives them a full happily ever after. There's no worrying about possible cliffhanger endings but we may see this couple again as side characters in future stories.

Evelyn Beckham was an international superstar who modelled all around the world until the lifestyle nearly killed her. Since then she's kept out of the limelight and chosen to focus on building her business designing bespoke lingerie for wealthy clients at her boutique. When she is chosen to design wedding and honeymoon lingerie for Avery Ross she knows this could be a massive boost to her business but when more and more strange things start happening in the boutique it looks like she may be in danger from an unseen enemy.

Gabriel Nobel is a veteran who lost a leg serving in Afghanistan that now works as the head of Baine International's security team. Gabe considers Dominic Baine, and his right hand man Andrew Beckham, friends but also feels he owes them for taking a chance on him and giving him the job he loves. When they ask him to personally keep an eye on Andrew's sister Eve he will to whatever it takes to keep her safe, even if it means keeping secrets that he knows will break her heart.

I was really pleased when I found out Lara Adrian is writing more contemporary romances, as much as I'm addicted to her Midnight Breed world I also really enjoyed Avery and Nick's story and I'm looking forward to getting to know more of the side characters. This book introduces us to Andrew's sister Eve and Nick's head of security Gabe. I'm not sure if we met either of them in the original books but if we did I don't remember them so they definitely weren't major characters and I don't think anyone would have any trouble reading this if they're new to this world.

Eve and Gabe don't exactly hit it off on the right foot, they're both quite fiery personalities who manage to rub each other up completely the wrong way the first time they meet so although the attraction between them is pretty instant neither of them is very keen on acting on it. Eve because she's busy focusing on her career and Gabe because he doesn't want to break the bro-code by going after his friend's younger sister. They're pushed into closer proximity when it appears that Eve's life is in danger but Andrew insists on keeping Eve in the dark about the fact that she may have a stalker so Gabe is forced to hide the fact he's trying to protect her. I have to admit I didn't like the way Andrew did that but because the story is told from both Gabe and Eve's points of view we could see how difficult Gabe found it and that made it easier to forgive him for his actions.

The two characters have a brilliant connection, in a lot of ways they're completely different. They have very different lifestyles and histories but at the same time they're also looking for the same things in life and they suit each other really well. It doesn't hurt that they have fantastic chemistry but they also enjoy spending time together out of the bedroom so their relationship felt totally believable and realistic. My one complaint about the story was that I found it a little too easy to guess who the stalker was but since this is primarily a romance and not a murder mystery that's really a very small niggle. Apart from that I loved getting to catch up with some familiar faces while meeting a whole bunch of new ones, the romance was both sweet and hot and I absolutely flew through this story. I'm looking forward to more books set in this world and already have a whole list of side characters I'm hoping to read about!

Eine klare Leseempfehlung!

After the success of Lara Adrian’s 100 series, she is now starting to write more standalone stories in this world. While I still tend to prefer her other series to this one, there’s still a lot of fun stuff to expect with this book.

I like that there’s a guaranteed HEA with each book. It eliminates the fear of cliffhangers (which I don’t always hate but for this genre, I prefer that it doesn’t have it) and provides readers with a more comfortable experience.

This hot read follows Gabriel Noble and Evelyn Beckham. Now to be honest, I had a difficult time getting into Evelyn’s character. She’s introduced as a very driven woman and her and Gabriel definitely don’t start off on the right foot. I know that this was intentional for the author, so that was why I didn’t quit so fast. But because of that faulty start, I think it also caused some stalling on my part to get behind this story. I think I also struggled in the beginning because of the first person narration, which isn’t always my favorite.

Nevertheless, I plowed through this book after the first hurdle and ended up enjoying it in the end. So if you’re looking for something highly erotic with intense emotions, I think this one is the perfect read to fit your mood. There’s no doubt that Lara Adrian can write some sexy books.

Another hit in the 100 Series. We met Gabriel Nobel as part of the security personnel for Nick Baine’s enterprises. What we didn’t know about Gabe is how wonderful of a character he truly is.

Lara Adrian has yet again hit a home run, Run To You is a wonderful story of self-discovery, second chances, and love. Gabriel is a soldier who suffered terrible pain, not only physically but also emotionally during his time in Afghanistan. Gabriel’s sense of duty and loyalty comes from somewhere deep in his heart. He is thankful of Nick & Andrew for giving him the opportunity but he is also conflicted when his sense of duty is interrupted by the deep attraction he feels for Evelyn Beckham.

Evelyn is beautiful, independent and intelligent. Now that her business as a lingerie designer has taken off that’s all she has time for. Working and working that’s all she has known for a long time, but things about her past keep popping in her head and sometimes makes her doubt herself.

I absolutely loved this story, it was beautifully written, with fantastic details and scenes that not only melt your heart but also your soul. The story of Evelyn & Gabe is one I’ll come back to time and time again because it felt so real.
These two characters had gone through so much pain and struggles in their life. Gabe a veteran from the Afghanistan war who suffered greatly after an explosion took his leg, he was left not only with the physical reminder of what happened to him in but the psychological scars that are just as permanent and painful as the physical ones. His life after he came back was not any better due to his relationship with his father.

Evelyn’s life before becoming an entrepreneur was filled with people yet she still felt alone. As a model, Evelyn suffered and the consequences of her pain almost took her life.

These two characters had a lot to overcome, their individual stories were sensitive but well executed. Adrian managed to explore these two characters and push limits without taking away the importance of the subject and how these things affect individuals very deeply.

Lara Adrian has managed once again to give us a story with heart, high emotion, and angst that touches our heart. I absolutely loved Run to You and I am sure you will too. The story is already available for purchase, go read it now, don’t delay.

Fantastic read!

This was my first read in this part of the 100 Series. It has made me want to go back and read the three books this one stems from. I have had 100 Days in my TBR pile for a while. This book had so much going on that I couldn’t put it down. I almost finished all 250 pages in one sitting. These two “broken” individuals find each other and through that connection they create something beautiful.

•••••••••

REVIEW: RUN TO YOU is the fourth instalment in Lara Adrian’s contemporary, adult 100 SERIES erotic, romance series. This is twenty-seven year old US army veteran and security specialist Gabriel Noble, and former model/lingerie designer Evelyn Beckham’s story line. RUN TO YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. Evelyn is the sister of Andrew Beckham, business partner to billionaire Dominic Baine (100 Series 1-3).

Told from dual first person perspectives (Gabe and Evelyn) RUN TO YOU follows the building relationship between twenty-seven year old US army veteran and security speciality Gabriel Noble, and former model/lingerie designer Evelyn Beckham. Gabriel is the new head of security for Baine International but his latest assignment involves a woman he can’t get out of his head or his heart. Evelyn Beckham’s L’opale lingerie boutique comes under the control of Baine Security, and as such Gabriel has taken it upon himself to ensure Evelyn’s safety when a series of questionable incidents places our heroine in the direct line of fire. Desperate to protect his only sister, Andrew Beckham, and Dominic Baine assign Gabriel to watch over Evelyn, an assignment that grows into something more. What ensues is the building relationship and romance between Gabe and Evelyn, and the potential fall-out as the truth about Gabe’s assignment is revealed, and Evelyn’s ‘stalker’ is determined to take her at any cost.

Evelyn Beckham’s history is ugly and raw, as she desperately tries to re-establish herself in the fashion world, a world she once ruled until everything came crashing down. Meeting Gabriel Noble gave Evelyn hope for a happily ever after but Gabriel doesn’t do relationships as he struggles with his own demons of family and war.

The relationship between Gabriel and Evelyn is one of immediate attraction but their first meeting is acerbic and intense. Gabriel has no idea as to whom Evelyn is or was, and struggles in the face of his attraction to a woman he is being paid to protect. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are colorful and energetic : Dominic Baine and his fiancé, artist Avery Ross, as well as Evelyn’s brother Andrew Beckham. We are introduced to Gabriel’s brother Jake who takes an interest in Gabe’s fellow veteran and amputee Kelsey O’Connor; Gabe’s mother and father; lingerie designer Katrina, and frequent customer Walter Hennings.

RUN TO YOU is a story of family, misunderstanding, obsession and love. The premise is engaging, suspense-filled and seductive; the characters are strong, resilient and charismatic; the romance is hot, and provocative. RUN TO YOU is the first in a series of stand alones in the author’s 100 Series world. I am looking forward to Kelsey and Jake’s story line.

I really liked the romance and characters this author created here. Disabled veteran who is getting passed that, an ex-model who had eating disorder and drug use in her past, it was excellent. The romance was sweet too. My only disappointment was it mentioned the hero had some sort of BDSM kink but it's barely scratched in the book. That said I totally knew who the stalker was. Still seriously enjoyed reading this one and look forward to more in this universe.

Gabe was a great hero. I loved the banter between Gabe and Evelyn, their chemistry was undeniable. Great couple. Enjoyed their story.

For some reason, I have the attention span of a toddler these days. Run to You was the third book I picked up and started reading without finishing the two books I’d started last week. It was fast paced and I think that’s what I was needing…

Evelyn Beckham is a former super model who now owns her own lingerie design business. She’s running late for an appointment with an important potential client when she runs afoul of Gabriel Noble, security specialist for Baine International.

Turns out Gabe has close ties to people Evelyn knows, including her older brother. When odd things start happening to Evelyn and it becomes evident to Gabe that she’s in danger, he’s put in charge of making sure she stays safe. Gabe initially does his best to fight his overwhelming attraction to Evelyn, but once she makes it clear she wants him just as much, he can’t help but let their chemistry ignite. Even if it means things might go badly in the end.

This book is apparently over 350 pages long, but it went by fast. The heat between the hero and heroine ignites quickly, and even though Gabe tries to ignore it, he can’t. I liked that we didn’t get an overwhelming amount of repetitive internal monologue about why he can’t be with Evelyn - and there were two reasons you’d usually get here (he’s her bodyguard, and she’s his friend’s little sister). I also really liked that Evelyn was a strong-minded woman - she knew what she wanted and went after it, even when Gabe tried to push her away. I liked how their relationship developed, even if it did happen rather quickly.

The suspense part of the story was also done fairly well, but it did seem to have a secondary place in the book. I like my romantic suspense to have equal parts of romance and suspense. There was plenty of steam between Gabe and Evelyn. And the suspense part was going well...right up until the end when the bad guy was revealed and the situation came to a head with faux tension and melodramatic conversation.

Was this the best book I’ve read this month? Not by a long shot. Was it terrible? Not by a long shot. For the most part the story was well written and I liked the characters. The author stayed away from having her characters do, or say, or think, things that usually make me cringe, so that made me really happy. However, there were a couple of things that were mentioned which could have been further developed to add some additional depth to characterizations and potential conflict for the relationship. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but Gabe and Evelyn's relationship was almost too easy. Also, the "suspenseful" climax reached cheese-ball proportions for me. And just as a first impression keeps me reading past the first chapter, a poor ending leaves me with a less-than-favorable opinion as I finish. Nonetheless, I’d probably read Lara Adrian again, though!

This one was pretty standard fare, a lot of it you could guess a long time before things were revealed. But what kept me reading were Gabe and Evie. With how they met you knew things were going to be fun to read about. Their chemistry was high, even as they fought things at the start, but oh, once they let themselves want the other things were great! I liked that as they heated up the sheets they took the time to get to know each other. Both had issues to deal with from their past, issues with family and not being "good enough". As luck would have it they were able to work through those issues, along with deal with stupid things they did in order to find their HEA.

Story-wise, meh. Too many disparate threads that don't quite get resolved satisfactorily. The dad issues, the stalker issues, the previous drug problem, any could have been dropped to focus and tighten the story. But also, you can't take the subway straight to Bayside, alright? A metrocard isn't going to cut it.

No matter what Lara Adrian writes her stories are always amazing. Gabe and Evelyn’s story was no different. I would love to see more books from the 100 series in the future.

while this story was predictable it follows a classic plot of bodyguard protecting an ex model. it was still a great story. it was also a steamy read. i wonder if more will be written in this series.

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.
No one needs to feel like they cannot be loved. But Gabe has felt that way for as long as he can remember. Life seems to have thrown rocks at him all his life, even from birth. But at last he has a good job and career that can take him places and help him forget. But can you say duck, here comes another rock. This one in the shape of a woman that should have no interest in him. The author had me wanting more of Dominick and Avery in her 100 Series. I did not know how she would do that when it felt like their story had an HEA. But the new characters are members of the family and friends of the future wedded Baines. I love have Gabe and Eve life is a stand alone but also offers an update on the Baines.

Holy hotness, Batman!

This book is everything you could want in a suspenseful standalone romance. Eve and Gabe have crazy sexual chemistry that radiates off them from the very first time that they meet and over the course of the book they develop a deep emotional connection the likes of which I haven't seen in romantic suspense in quite some time. These two have their ups and their downs, of course, as they seek to find whoever is stalking Eve. The care and affection they have for one another shines through each of their interactions, though.

And the ending! Oh geez, the ending was heart-pounding, terrifying and oh-so-satisfying! SWOON.

As glad as I am to read a one-and-done book with all the beats of a great romance, I'm a bit sad that we won't see more of Eve and Gabe in the future. These two may be one of my very favorite couples of all time! Guess I'll just have to settle for a reread soon.

An excellent romance adventure. The story of Evelyn and Gabriel. She is an ex-model and has moved on in her life to a wonderful new career. He is a war hero who has also moved on to a new career. When strange things begin to happen, Gabriel starts watching over Evelyn. This is a fun, suspenseful and gripping mystery-romance. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who enjoys a romance with more.
