The author of this book is actually one of my coworker’s mom… shout out Ian. Initially I was hesitant to read it but after reading the synopsis I decided it sounded like my kind of book. The writing style was easy to read and comprehend. The plot also added a new twist on mystery books that I did enjoy.
I personally think there were almost too many character storylines involved but I understand how each of their paths crossed. For example. Abbie was a great character but was she really needed? She didn’t really provide anything with the overall story other than she worked with Lauren. (Also how crazy that the coworker’s name was Abbie). I did inwardly cringe every time the phrase “brave girl” popped up and Lauren said it to herself. There were also some typos that I noticed in a couple different places.
Overall it was a pretty good short read. I would suggest if you ever want a short easy read to read this book!!
I really loved this story and the main character, Lauren. It’s easy to put yourself in her shoes as she unravels both her situation and who took her boyfriend’s life. My only wish is that the the story was longer - I wasn’t ready for the book to be over!
At first I was a little confused with going back in time, but it made sense pretty quick. It was a super great book, I couldn’t put it down. I hope Susan will write more soon.
