I enjoyed this whole series, but book 2 was my favorite. This one did have some excitement and unexpected events. I found it depressing, overall, where the 2nd book had a more hopeful feel.
H7N9 is a fast-paced, emotionally charged story that will keep readers on edge from start to finish. With its vivid portrayal of a world on the brink of collapse and the complex dynamics between the characters, it’s a must-read for fans of dystopian fiction and survival thrillers. Mark Campbell has crafted a compelling, action-packed novel that explores the depths of human endurance and trust in the face of relentless adversity.
The twists and turns of the final book in this series were fantastic and unexpected. I was completely wowed by the ending, but it does seem like a "Teddy" way of a happy ending. Ein's ending definitely was unexpected. This was a great post pandemic book that was so much different than all the others I've read, which are largely predictable.
I liked this story. I liked the characters. I suppose it couldn't have ended but the way it did. I was certain that the editing changed hands or someone got sloppier toward the end. Almost the entire book was edited well. And then, I noticed a difference in the last book. Being a dog lover I felt that dropping Zoey from the script was sad but as the book progressed it wouldn't have worked. If anyone is wondering, spoiler alert, she wasn't killed, so maybe she made it. Hope so. Too many ways a dog couldn't survive.
This is truly one of those, series you hate to see come to an end. Then on the other hand how many series that run into 6 or more books are capturing? This was a three series book one like I used to read years ago. It kept my interest, the story line solid and the characters to a number you could keep track off. Definitely would recommend this to all of those end of the world readers.
After a re-read, I still couldn’t put this book down. Highly recommended to those into the genre and great world building. The author did an amazing job once again.
